Sutton Community Works (SCW) is a Christian charity in South London. Sutton Foodbank is one of our faith in action projects and we are looking for a dedicated manager to oversee the smooth delivery of this amazing project supported by almost 100 volunteers!
Our vision is for our faith in action projects to contribute to a safe and flourishing community in Sutton.
Our work focuses on areas including food poverty, young people, rough sleepers and homelessness. In all our work, our ethos is to love God and others in all we do and say, ensuring people feel seen, heard, understood, and helped.
Sutton Foodbank has been helping people in food crisis since 2009, and supported nearly 4000 adults and children in 2024. We are open 5 times per week across 4 different venues and people are referred to by referral partners across the borough. Details of our sessions can be found on Sutton Foobank website.
Sessions are run by our dedicated volunteers who come from local churches; and our dependable warehouse, restocking and transport volunteers always ensure food gets safely to where it is needed.
People visiting the foodbank come from a vast variety of backgrounds but all have faced difficult life experiences. Beyond food, we also want people to access support to improve their situation, so we commision Citizens Advice to come to the foodbank sessions to help people maximise their income and provide advice on topics such as housing, debt and benefits.
And as a Christian project we underpin everything with prayer, and actively offer prayer to our clients too. The genuine care and compassion from our volunteers helps to build trusting relationships so we can more effectively listen, pray and signpost people to other support.

Salary: £32,000 per annum (plus 5% pension commencing from successful completion of probation period).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5:30pm. Occasional weekend or evening working required, depending on the needs of the Foodbank and of SCW.
Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, including bank holidays
Location: Work is expected to take place in a mixture of locations within London Borough of Sutton, including the office (Highfield Hall, 320 Carshalton Road, SM5 3QB), Foodbank venues and Big Yellow Storage (Kimpton Park Way, Sutton, SM3 9QS). There is also likely to be some travel across the borough. Other time may be worked from home, pending agreement with the Operations Manager.
Occupational Requirement: This role involves offering and participating in Christian prayer with members of the public and volunteers, leading devotions and group prayers, and providing pastoral care and faith-based leadership to Christian staff and volunteers. It is therefore an occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a practicing Christian.
Role purpose is to:
- Manage smooth and safe day-to-day delivery of Sutton Foodbank, supporting volunteers and clients and ensuring food stock is sufficient and managed safely (65%)
- Maintain and increase capacity of the service coordinating food drive activity, maintaining excellent relationships with food donors, volunteers and other external organisations, and assisting with onboarding new volunteers (25%)
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Sutton Foodbank, by delivering operational activity which aims to decrease people’s need to return to the Foodbank (10%)
- Keep Christ central to activities in the Foodbank (always)
We are looking for someone who:

RESPONSIBILITIES
We expect to recruit from our members and from the community of those who stammer or those who support people who stammer (speech & language therapists, family and friends).
- Recruit and induct new volunteers to support our services, working with the Services Director and the Training & Outreach Lead.
- Work with the service managers to review training and update training modules.
- Ensure there is appropriate training, support, supervision and acknowledgement for volunteers and ensure processes comply with the charity’s values
- Research and write volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments.
- Support and recruit volunteer community leaders for our groups and networks; work with them to aim for consistent quality across the groups experience and develop an online training programme for leaders. Longer term, put a funding case together to support a training weekend for community leaders.
- Keep records on which community groups are active and identify areas of need and feedback mechanisms.
- Work with Content & Communications Lead to produce regular mailings and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
- Keep up to date with legislation, best practice and policy related to volunteering and make any necessary modifications to accommodate changes.
- Maintain the database of volunteers and ensure all volunteers are registered members.
- Manage budgets and resources, including the reimbursement of volunteer expenses.
PLEASE NOTE
This is a hybrid role, and all staff are expected to attend team meetings, held in London, every 6-8 weeks.

Lia's Wings are looking to appoint a Fundraising Manager into a brand new role, at an incredibly exciting time for the charity. As the only aeroplane ambulance charity for children in the UK, we are experiencing a period of phenomenal growth, with incredible opportunities and potential for fundraising.
Being responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising activities, this role will involve working with some of our most committed supporters on a series of engaging (and fun) events that are continuing to grow year on year. The Fundriasing Manager will also be expected to support our corporate partners, and engage with our Family Fundraising efforts, giving them the opportunity to meet, and work with our incredible beneficiaries first-hand.
A hybrid role: this post will be mostly remote but will involve travelling to regular (fortnightly) team meetings in central London (Zone 1), or, our operating base at Biggin Hill Airport, and, to manage events across the UK throughout the year.
The perfect candidate for this role will have experience of managing various types of fundraising events, but first and foremost, we are looking for a consummate fundraiser who is passionate about stewarding fundraisers. We are looking for a fundraiser who can think outside the box, solve problems, and support supporters, donors and fundraisers of all levels, to ensure we maximise every opportunity we receive.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this role will be integral to the growth of Lia's Wings, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a role at a small charity, where their efforts will make a real difference.
Over the last year we have had more people than ever before hoping to fundraise for Lia’s Wings, which has given rise to some fantastic new events being created (led by the charity), alongside several wonderful community-led partnerships with schools and social clubs around the UK.
Every year we also have a great uptake in classic charity challenges taking place both in the UK, and overseas, including the London Landmarks and Royal Parks Half Marathon, and the Berlin and Chicago Marathons. We have also had great success delivering our own, bespoke charity challenges, which we hope will continue into the future. For 2025, we are due to complete the second instalment of an annual Lia’s Wings Overseas Cycle Challenge, a Shark dive, Skydive and three peaks challenges, amongst many others, which this role would be expected to lead on, and develop for years to come.
Corporate Partnerships are one of our key income streams, with employees from dozens of companies supporting our events efforts. As well as managing these events, there would be a certain level of devolved account management with these partners, with the post holder becoming the primary point of contact for those firms.
We also have a growing network of community groups – including schools and social groups – who want to support Lia’s Wings as a partner charity. It is an area we would love to expand, with this role being crucial to the ongoing development of these areas.
And finally: for the past two years we have we also hosted a seasonal thank you party each Christmas (our “Jingle and Mingle”) which we hope will be another fantastic opportunity that can be developed by the right person in this role, as a real jewel in the crown of our events portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- To manage our Challenge, Community, and Special Event fundraising streams, to achieve set targets.
- To grow income sustainably from our existing portfolio of events, ensuring continued high performance, engagement, and participation.
- To design, develop, and deliver new events that are suitable for our primary supporter audiences, alongside the Head of Fundraising.
- To effectively steward fundraisers to ensure an excellent supporter experience (resulting in positive fundraising performance, and repeat year on year participation), including appropriate thanking and recognition, reporting, and feedback on outcomes of events.
- To assume account management responsibility for smaller corporate and community partnerships (primarily engaged with the charity through events fundraising)
- To ensure a strong (in-person) team and volunteer presence at events.
- To support the Head of Fundraising on the delivery of our Corporate and Community Partnerships.
- To support our Family Support Team with the delivery of our Family Fundraising programme
- To build strong relationships with existing and potential stake holders, including event committees, and Trustees of the charity.
- To proactively manage event income and expenditure budgets, monitoring and reporting to the Head of Fundraising to support forecasting and budgeting processes, including monthly reconciliation.
- To manage all stock, consumables and promotional items related to these areas of fundraising.
- To maintain comprehensive recording-keeping relating to these areas of fundraising with existing tools including our CRM system, Salesforce.
- To attend fortnightly team meetings (in person) in London, and to attend other compulsory training days or events as required
- To support the Head of Engagement in preparing digital assets, including news pieces, photography, videography, and fundraiser case studies for our website and social media
- To ensure all practices meet statutory legislation requirements including the Data Protection Act, and Fundraising Code of Practice.
- To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post that by be required by the Head of Fundraising, including supporting the fundraising team with other in-person events throughout the year as they arise.

We are looking for an empathetic, organised and proactive Services Manager to join our team. This role will oversee the day-to-day delivery of Sebby’s Corner’s core support services, including Essentials Support Collections, our New Parent Baby Essentials Experience, and seasonal programmes like School Uniform Support and Christmas Support.

About Sebby’s Corner
Sebby's Corner is based in Barnet, EN5 and our aim is to ensure that no child goes without the basic essentials they need to thrive. We supply items such as clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment to local families living in poverty. Families in need get referred to us by social workers, health visitors, family support workers, midwives and other professionals from our 800-strong referral partner network.
We also offer school uniform support in the summer and a Birthday Club that ensures children have the chance to celebrate with gifts, balloons and a cake. At Christmas, we host a festive shop where families can choose presents for their children, giving children the chance to have a Christmas just like their peers.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Service Delivery
- Guiding families during their New Parent Baby Essentials Experience appointment, helping them choose the items they need for their baby. Ensure clients feel supported and empowered when choosing items.
- Coordinate logistics, appointments, stock, and setup for our two seasonal services within a set timeline and budget - Christmas Support and School Uniform Support.
- Manage booking system across our services
- Ensure families and referral partners have a welcoming and respectful experience at the hub.
- Support complex referrals and work alongside the Referrals Coordinator to meet urgent or sensitive needs.
- Supporting our Referrals Co-ordinator with the Essentials Support service during busy periods to ensure families and referral partners who are collecting receive a positive and dignified experience and receive the items they requested.
Impact & Evaluation
- Gather and respond to feedback from families and volunteers to improve future service delivery.
- Provide reporting and statistics for impact reporting.
Referral Partner Engagement
- Act as a main point of contact for referral partners and schools.
- Onboarding new referral partners by providing clear information about service criteria, availability, and referral processes.

Signposting & Partnerships
- Help families access additional support by providing signposting to trusted local services.
- Maintain a regularly updated resource list on the website and collaborate with partners to expand support options.
- Promote and lead on our Service Delivery partnerships such as educational workshops with Parent Learning Platform and antenatal classes with All About Babies and encourage family engagement.
Safeguarding
- Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and first point of contact for all safeguarding concerns. Make onward safeguarding referrals via MASH where necessary.
- Ensure all staff and volunteers receive appropriate safeguarding training.
- Create a culture of safety and openness, where concerns are raised and addressed appropriately.

What we can offer
Salary and pension
The salary range for this role is £30,000 - £34,000 FTE per annum (gross), dependent on experience and pro-rated if you work part-time. If eligible to join the pension scheme, we will match your contributions by 5%.
Annual leave
You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time roles). We usually close between Christmas and New Year without this time coming off your annual leave allowance.

Location: A 5-day in-person role working in the project clinic in Birmingham/Sandwell.
Job Purpose:
The Principal Psychologist/Clinical Lead is responsible for the overall clinical management of mental health services within the project, including acting as safeguarding lead. This includes designing, implementing, and overseeing psychological and psychosocial interventions for asylum seekers and refugees. The role ensures high-quality, evidence-based mental health care, capacity building of staff, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support a multidisciplinary response. The post also ensures the integration of mental health services into MSF’s broader medical-humanitarian mission.
This role presents a unique opportunity for leadership to be part of a new, high-impact initiative for asylum seekers and refugees. As part of the pioneering team, the post holder will play a key role in establishing a new, trauma-informed care model that bridges humanitarian response with longer term mental health care. The successful applicant will have a chance to develop new skills, receive specialist training, and contribute to policy-level discussions on asylum seeker and refugee mental health.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience:
Knowledge
- Doctorate in Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration.
- Significant further advanced training in relevant specialist treatment delivery (e.g. CBT, EMDR, NET)
- Advanced expertise in complex trauma, PTSD, and comorbid mental health conditions, particularly in refugee and asylum-seeking populations.
- In-depth understanding of trauma-informed care models, stabilization techniques, and stepped-care approaches.
- Extensive knowledge of evidence-based trauma therapies, including TF-CBT, EMDR, NET, and third-wave approaches.
- Awareness of UK asylum policies and the medico-psycho-social-legal needs of refugees and asylum seekers
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding policies, risk assessment protocols, and ethical guidelines (e.g., HCPC, GDPR, BPS, NICE guidelines).
- Knowledge of UK healthcare, social welfare, and legal referral pathways for asylum seekers
- Understanding of mental health policy, advocacy, and service commissioning within humanitarian and third-sector settings.
- Familiarity with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) models in humanitarian settings would be an asset
- Training in management and supervision practices would be helpful to the role
Skills

- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in an NGO, humanitarian, or healthcare setting.
- Experience providing clinical leadership and supervision to senior (band 8a equivalent) Psychologists, Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and/or trainees.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk and complex clinical cases.
- Strong record of managing multidisciplinary team collaboration and policy engagement.
- Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or survivors of trafficking and torture.
- Experience in training and capacity building for mental health professionals
- Research, service evaluation, or policy development experience.
- Prior work in humanitarian, NGO, or third-sector organisations would be an asset to the role
- Experience providing supervision to caseworkers or equivalent roles would be helpful to the post.
- Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Community Outreach Manager to manage and expand our outreach efforts. The Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for leading a team to deliver Betknowmore UK's Community Outreach services, engaging with local communities, and supporting individuals impacted by gambling harms.
This is a key leadership role that involves overseeing the service’s strategy, operations, and delivery, ensuring that services are accessible, effective, and meet the needs of diverse communities.

About the Investment team
The investment team is responsible for selecting portfolio partners, managing our investments in these partners and supporting them to improve and scale their impact.
The investment team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.
The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.
The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. About the Investment Manager role
The Investment Manager (IM) works as an integral part of the Investment Team to help deliver our mission – supporting portfolio partners to deepen their impact and scale their outcomes. Investment Management
- Working closely with Investment Directors to support portfolio partners across all areas of our work - leadership, impact and sustainability - leading specific work streams like impact and/or financial management.

Terms & conditions
- Contract: Temporary (9-month) contract, subject to a 3-month probationary period
- Location: The team meets at its office in central London on Wednesdays and works in a hybrid way the rest of the week.
- Hours: Part-time position, 2.5 days (18.75 hours) per week (0.5 FTE)
- Salary: £40,000 per year pro rata (ie £20,000), gross
- Annual leave: 36 days paid holiday leave per year pro rata (ie 18 days), including statutory bank holidays
- Sick pay: 25 days per year pro rata (ie 12.5 days) on full pay, followed by 25 days pro rata (ie 12.5 days) on half pay, followed by Statutory Sick Pay only
- Pension: 6% employer contribution to HMO’s selected Stakeholder pension scheme or to another scheme of the employee’s choice
