This role is a core part of Pecan’s senior leadership team (SLT), working to develop strategic direction and playing a play a key role in the organisation’s aim to transform the lives of the most disadvantaged people in our community.

You will enable Pecan’s frontline team to deliver the highest possible standards of service. You will have responsibility for developing a strategy and vision for all community food activities and developments within Pecan. You will focus on ensuring the programmes have dignity at their heart and work towards seeing an end to foodbanks. You will work with the projects to support them to collaborate and work together. You will play a key role in the organisations aim of transforming the lives of the most disadvantaged people in our community.

Main Responsibilities:

• Line manage and appraise staff in line with Pecan’s procedures: Foodbank Manager, Pantry Manager, Operations Manager, and the Development Manager Community Food Programmes.
• Demonstrates strong financial literacy and business acumen.
• Develop and oversee food strategy for Pecan’s food services, implementing the vision to end the need for food banks, re‑imagining the food services offer and including a cash-first approach.
• Develop and manage partnerships with authorities, corporates, churches, community groups and networks to support the successful development of programmes.

• Strong experience of managing multiple projects.

• The PR Manager is accountable for the planning, development and delivery of high performing UK wide integrated Public Relations (PR) activity.

Lyde Green Community Association CIO (LGCA) is a charity that has been set up by residents for the benefit of the community in Lyde Green and the surrounding area. Specific responsibilities

DOTW UK has a small, high-performing and dynamic services team dedicated to delivering high quality, person-centred healthcare in a fast-paced environment, ensuring exceptional personal and team performance.

We are looking for an Outreach Senior Caseworker with experience of delivering effective advocacy on behalf of people from marginalised communities. This role will  play a key role in the delivery of services that will support equal access to primary medical services for people seeking asylum in contingency accommodation in Northeast London. The outreach service will offer initial health and social assessments, urgent care, and will facilitate GP registration and, and support access to wider healthcare and support services within the area through direct referrals and signposting, and coordination with other local services and partners.

As part of DOTWs Services team, you will support the service by proactively promoting DOTW’s service at individual accommodation sites, providing social assessments for residents and their dependents, escalating health issues of any immediate concern, and support responses to urgent health and/or safeguarding concerns. As part of a culture of best practice, you will ensure adherence to DotW policies and will provide support resolving complex cases, deploying your demonstrative experience delivering person-centred, compassionate care and/or advice and support to people seeking asylum or from other excluded communities.

You will lead by example, demonstrating effective advocacy, coordination, and multi-tasking skills, The role requires emotional agility, and resilience, especially when dealing with complex situations such as mental health crises, trafficking, and homelessness, where you will draw on your experience to manage complex situations calmly and compassionately. You will be someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to work productively and constructively within a close-knit team by demonstrating an open and responsive attitude and using your excellent communication skills.

You will have strong IT skills and ideally a driving licence to be able to support us to deliver our services in our dedicated mobile clinic vans. You will have the skills to work independently and manage your own and volunteers' health and safety, sometimes working alone.

You will be supported by an experienced team, regular line management, and clinical supervision. Skills in Basic Life Support, First Aid, safeguarding, mental health management, and trauma-informed approaches will be provided.

Age UK's Telephone Friendship Service is recruiting for Befriending Coordinators to join our growing team!

Loneliness is a major issue that is now widely recognised in society today, particularly amongst older people. By scheduling weekly calls from our trained volunteers, Age UK's National Telephone Friendship Service provides older people with a chance to make a new friend from the comfort of their home.

As a Befriending Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting the thousands of matches between our members and volunteers across the UK. Whether you are answering emails and calls, ensuring safeguarding measures are upheld or supporting members and volunteers through the onboarding processes, you will be helping to ensure this much needed service reaches those who need it most, in a safe and efficient manner.

Utilising your excellent customer service skills, you will be the first port of call to support our volunteers and older members - so you'll need to be comfortable spending a lot of time on the phone and communicating by email. You'll also need to be passionate about supporting older people and have a good understanding of older people's needs.

This role can either be based at our office in Blackpool, or in Ashburton Devon. We offer a hybrid model of home and office based-working, so you will need to be within a reasonable distance of either the Blackpool or Ashburton office and be willing to travel there regularly. As a guide, the team currently work from the office once or twice a week but please be aware this could increase.

You will work a 35-hour working week, 5 days out of 7 with start and end times between 8am and 6pm. It will include weekend and bank holiday shifts, which will be arranged on a rota basis.

With more growth planned over the next 2 years we want to find someone who has the experience to oversee the day to day finances of a large regional charity and to lead and nurture our finance staff. This role will provide a stable platform for growth. 

Using your can-do attitude, mixed with excellent communication, organisational and administration skills, you’ll focus on supporting our CEO and Trustees across our sites. The role includes tasks such as producing monthly management accounts, oversight of payroll, management of our internal financial controls, Year End reporting preparation and leading our small team in the general smooth running of finances. This is a part-time role with the potential to increase as we expand. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) in our Governance team working on our Global activities and supporting our work in the Devolved Nations. 

The Governance team are seeking a brilliantly organised and enthusiastic self-starter to make a significant contribution to the College’s involvement in global activities. Alongside a focus on supporting planning activities, the Global and Devolved Nations Coordinator will help coordinate staff and doctors attending national and global events, liaise with our overseas partners and arrange member gatherings. A high level of cooperation and teamwork between staff members is necessary to fulfil this role’s functions effectively and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively with external customers across time zones, colleagues and senior members.

They will also have first rate administrative and organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload. It is important that as a Global and Devolved Nations Coordinator, the successful candidate has a commitment to providing a professional, positive and responsive service, as well as an understanding of cultural differences.

A willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas is a requirement of the job, although this will be planned in advance and likely to be three or four times a year.

• Lead the organisation and coordination of RCR’s global events activities
• Organise and commission briefings and/or speeches for the RCR President and Vice Presidents
• Support liaison with external partners/organisations

The Director of Professional Services is responsible for our professional affairs activities, overseeing the creation, maintenance and application of relevant standards through our professional affairs committee, and certification and accreditation schemes. They are also responsible for member recruitment and management, ensuring we continue to attract new RSS members and partners, and that their needs are met. They also oversee a range of activities that engage RSS members (including groups that bring members together on a topic or geographical basis, RSS honours and awards, and our volunteering opportunities), securing both our impact on society and member retention. 

Informed by an in-depth understanding of the needs of members and prospective members, the Director manages these activities strategically across the organisation, bringing relevant staff together within small teams working on defined goals that support our objectives, foster a sense of value and community for all members and ultimately lead to the growth in membership and impact of the Society. 

Pension and benefits: Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). Location: The RSS office is in central London and currently open twice a week. We offer flexible working arrangements and office attendance is encouraged but not mandatory depending on the role. Join Waythrough as a Recovery and Connect Worker and you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals access the support services and opportunities they need to improve their quality of life and ensure that their mental health is improving.

Chester and Wirral pathway is a community based project that will assist people in hospital ready for discharge home from mental health inpatient settings .

Your role will be in supporting patients in various hospital settings to overcome the barriers to them leaving hospital . This will include being part of MDT meetings , housing and benefits support ,utility reconnection, identifying housing  and a package of 12 week support upon discharge from hospital . Ideally candidates will have good housing experience . This is an agile role that will require travel between hospitals and the community .

Your challenge will be to support individuals with complex mental health needs to feel in control of their care, access mental health support and other local opportunities and build their emotional resilience. You’ll manage a caseload of individuals with mental health concerns, formulating support plans and establishing positive relationships with a range of multidisciplinary organisations.

You’ll need a significant understanding of mental health issues and substantial experience of working within a mental health setting where you dealt with ‘high risk’ clients and managing resources effectively. A good understanding of recovery and coproduction is important too, as is a proven ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately.  Adept at managing conflicting demands and priorities on time, you have a flexible attitude to working hours and, above all, keen to be part of something new and worthwhile that will change lives.
