About us
Who we are
At Greenhouse Sports, we believe every child deserves a fair chance to succeed.
Greenhouse Sports aims to develop life skills for young people in London’s most disadvantaged communities through outstanding, intensive sports programmes delivered by inspirational coaches. We use the power of sport to inspire and motivate young people so they can reach their full potential.
Our coaches work full time in mainstream secondary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and community clubs to provide sport programmes across the capital that equip young people for life.
April 2018 saw the launch of the Greenhouse Centre; a prestigious sports facility for the local community and for the whole of London. The major sport at the Centre is table tennis, and we intend the Centre to become London’s premier table tennis facility. The Centre is also used for a mix of other sports, fitness and fundraising events and activities, and has become the flagship home of the charity itself.
Our culture and values
Our Vision: Every child has a fair chance to succeed.
Our Mission: To deliver intensive sports coaching and mentoring to help develop young people from disadvantaged communities.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Workplaces that welcome diversity in age, ethnicity, gender identity, marital or civil partnership status, parental status, race, religion and belief, sexual orientation, physical or mental abilities are better and more innovative organisations and more representative of those we seek to help. At Greenhouse we value diversity and we actively promote equality of opportunity throughout our charity to ensure that our people are treated fairly and equitably, in a way that is consistent with their potential skills and abilities. We take care that our employees are recruited, trained and promoted on the basis of reasonable and legal criteria.
