As CEO of LCVS, you will:

Purpose of the job

As Finance Director, you will oversee all financial aspects of the charity and lead long-term financial sustainability while advancing UK Youth’s mission. Acer Trust, an Oxfordshire multi-academy trust, is seeking a Finance Director to lead our fantastic finance team through the next stage of our Trust’s development. In the past year we have added two new schools into the Trust and restructured our finance and business operations to better support our schools. We are now looking for a strategic finance professional to embed our new structure and processes and help us to develop and implement a new financial strategy to support our next phase of development. This exciting and challenging role would suit an experienced Head of Finance or senior Finance Manager aspiring to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role in the future.

The successful candidate will bring together strategic thinking, exceptional people management skills and financial acumen, as well as an appetite for continuous improvement, to help us achieve excellence in our finance function. You will play a critical role in our Trust’s growth and development, ensuring that we remain financially stable and that school leaders and decision-makers have robust information with which to make financial decisions and achieve value for money.

Against a tough financial backdrop for all schools, and with some of our schools experiencing particularly challenging circumstances, you will work collaboratively with Headteachers, Business Managers and the Chief Operations and Finance Officer to embed a culture of financial prudence and facilitate creative solutions to these challenges. About the role

We are seeking an Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer, working with the Impact and Evaluation Manager, Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and with federation members.The role will be central to the delivery of strategic commitment to work together to record, study, continuously improve and broadcast our collective impact.

It’s an exciting time for the Emmaus Federation as we roll out a new In-Form (salesforce) CRM system and interlinked Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework.

The role will play a crucial part in implementing, gathering feedback and developing new systems and tools to be utilised by Emmaus communities.

The role will be varied in nature, one day might involve conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness, then next providing support to a member of staff to improve a communities MEL practice, the following day might involve analysing a data set and writing a briefing paper.

Who are we looking for?

The Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer will play a key role in supporting the Emmaus federation to understand and demonstrates the impact of our work. 

The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and practical evaluation skills coupled with the people skills to make this work accessible to a range of stakeholders.

They will need to be comfortable working as part of a remote team and able to travel to Emmaus communities across the UK to work with staff and companions.

Founded in 1834, the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is one of the world’s leading organisations advocating for the importance of statistics and data. We’re a professional body for all statisticians and data scientists – wherever they may live. 

We have more than 12,000 individual members in the UK and worldwide. As a charity, we advocate for the key role of statistics and data in society and work to ensure that policy formulation and decision-making are informed by evidence for the public good. Members work with RSS staff to support areas such as policy development, education, training, statistical communication, and statistical literacy.

The Director of Professional Services is responsible for our professional affairs activities, overseeing the creation, maintenance and application of relevant standards through our professional affairs committee, and certification and accreditation schemes. They are also responsible for member recruitment and management, ensuring we continue to attract new RSS members and partners, and that their needs are met. They also oversee a range of activities that engage RSS members (including groups that bring members together on a topic or geographical basis, RSS honours and awards, and our volunteering opportunities), securing both our impact on society and member retention. 

Informed by an in-depth understanding of the needs of members and prospective members, the Director manages these activities strategically across the organisation, bringing relevant staff together within small teams working on defined goals that support our objectives, foster a sense of value and community for all members and ultimately lead to the growth in membership and impact of the Society. 

Pension and benefits: Our defined contribution pension scheme can be joined after three months in post. Your contributions of up to 8% of salary will be double matched by the Society (making a maximum contribution by the Society of 16%). Location: The RSS office is in central London and currently open twice a week. We offer flexible working arrangements and office attendance is encouraged but not mandatory depending on the role. About the Role

We’re excited to be recruiting a Service Director to lead Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice. Reporting to the COO, this role is crucial in shaping the future of our inpatient and community services.

As Service Director, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering a strategic plan that will enable Sue Ryder’s vision to create a society where people support one another and can reach out for support and access

a range of services and advice when they need it. You’ll work closely with commissioners and providers across the Integrated Care System (ICS) to grow and develop our services, ensuring patients and their families receive the best possible care. A key part of your role will also be to increase statutory income, helping to secure the financial stability of our services.

Leading and motivating your team will be central to your success, as you’ll foster a high-performing, inclusive culture that prioritises quality, safety, and effectiveness, focused on patient need.

As an ambassador for the hospice and our charity, you’ll also play an important part in our fundraising and PR efforts, helping to raise awareness of and support for the work we do.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing large healthcare operations, and successfully growing services in both size and scope. A solid understanding of the hospice sector, including the key factors that shape care and service delivery, and familiarity with NHS commissioning, will be key.

But most importantly, we’re looking for someone who truly connects with our charity’s mission and values. You’ll need to bring energy, passion, and a personal commitment to delivering excellence. Since our inception, we have undergone significant changes, transitioning from a single centre with a small team to a more complex operation offering various services, including a 14-bed emergency accommodation facility and a women’s centre.
