The role
We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our fundraising success with a particular focus on corporate partnerships. This role sits within our Fundraising and Partnerships department, working alongside an equivalent Senior Fundraising and Partnerships Manager. Together, you will shape and deliver our fundraising strategy, with line management and support provided by the CEO.

Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Communications & PR Leader to drive impactful internal and external communications and strengthen our global network. You will be responsible for developing and executing a dynamic communications strategy while building strong relationships with media partners to raise awareness of our global alliance and its achievements. This is a hands-on role ideal for a candidate who excels at strategic thinking but is also comfortable with content creation using own copywriting and visual skills, as well as guiding other content creators from volunteering partners.
We are looking for someone who shares the DfG mission, has a passion for storytelling, and excels at strategising and delivering innovative communication and PR initiatives. Additionally, the ideal candidate will also possess exceptional communication skills to engage effectively within our global network, connecting diverse audiences and their communication departments. The Communication & PR leader will collaborate with programme staff, and senior management to deliver compelling content across various platforms, including digital marketing, press, branding and storytelling initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a communications strategy to elevate DfG’s global visibility and impact.
- Public Relations & Branding: Build and strengthen relationships with press contacts, and public relations partners to expand DfG’s reach. Enhance and promote our brand to ensure consistent messaging and representation.
- Content Development: Lead and create content for various channels, including the website, social media, events, annual reviews, and press releases
- Content Execution: Plan, coordinate, and deliver communication activities in partnership with alliance communication leads and external partners.
Key Requirements:
- Passion for DfG's mission to improve life through design
- Senior-level experience in communications, and public relations ideally in an NGO, charity or mission-driven organisation.
- Strong public relations network and a proven track record of securing media coverage for a global organisation.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, with strong storytelling abilities (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work independently while motivating and collaborating with colleagues and partners globally.

HAMRAH seeks to equip Afghan civil society in exile to protect and strengthen the rights of vulnerable groups in Afghanistan, especially women and girls. We do this through core funding, capacity strengthening, network building and collaborative advocacy.
HAMRAH is hosted by Global Dialogue, an international philanthropy support organisation partnering with funders to advance rights, equity and diversity. Independent in status and global in reach, Global Dialogue provides funder networks, collaboratives and their partners with practical support and technical expertise to create lasting change.
We seek a Senior Programme Officer – Development & Advocacy to ensure timely and effective implementation of project deliverables through day-to-day management of activities and processes.
Hours This role is full-time (35 hours/week). We are open to negotiating a working pattern that works for the successful candidate and for Global Dialogue.
Terms Fixed term Contract -1 year (subject to 12-week probationary period. Possibility of an extension dependent on funding)

Remuneration This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of £44,500 (pro rata for a part time position). The HAMRAH Initiative is designed to address the significant challenges faced by Afghan civil society organisations (CSOs) forced into exile, particularly women-led organisations, as they continue to provide protection for vulnerable groups within Afghanistan. The initiative focuses on fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy to safeguard the rights of vulnerable populations, including women and girls.
Through sustained technical support and resources, HAMRAH aims to build a stronger Afghan civil society equipped with essential organisational infrastructure, leadership skills, and collaborative networks to preserve hard-won gains and advance rights and protections for vulnerable groups.

Overview
The Senior Programme Officer - Development & Advocacy will play a vital role in advancing the HAMRAH initiative and strengthening the resilience of cohort organisations through fundraising, research, joint policy advocacy, communication, and capacity development. This position requires a dynamic and caring professional with experience working with Global South CSOs, as well as the passion and empathy to drive strategic initiatives, build partnerships, and amplify programmatic impact. In this role, you will collaborate closely with HAMRAH's partner cohort organisations (10 CSOs in exile), mentors, the advisory board, and other key stakeholders. The right post holder will be comfortable responding to the needs of a cohort of organisations whose priorities may change, which can lead to working in ways that require flexibility. Job Description
Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Monitor funding trends and donor priorities to develop tailored and compelling proposals.
Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development. Help facilitate policy dialogue and engagement with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and civil society networks, to advance the priorities of HAMRAH and its cohort organisations.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform programme strategies, advocacy efforts, and policy development. This includes helping produce briefing papers, reports, and articles with clear recommendations based on HAMRAH’s work and evidence. Also monitor emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in Afghanistan and other exiled communities across Global South to ensure programming remains responsive, relevant and impactful.
Communication and Reporting: Lead the development of newsletters and other digital communication materials to showcase HAMRAH’s achievements and cohort organisations’ work. If needed and approved by cohort, coordinate digital engagement strategies, including website updates and social media campaigns, to enhance HAMRAH visibility and outreach. Lead the drafting of narrative and financial reports to donors.
Capacity Development: support assessment of capacity-building needs of cohort organisations and develop tailored training plans to address identified gaps. When needed, provide technical support to cohort organisations to strengthen their operational and programmatic capacities.
Learning and Exchange: Support the planning and execution of online and in-person cross-learning exchange workshops with partner organisations in the Global South. The Role
The Senior Individual Giving Officer will act as a source of fundraising expertise in the Direct Marketing and wider development team, as well as the global Development and Marketing teams. Lead on devising a digital strategy that will maximise supporter engagement and acquisition, and thus grow individual giving income, with the input of the Direct Marketing Manager
Mercy Corps Europe's fundraising team is in a growth phase and there are many opportunities to innovate. Creative freedom is very much encouraged and the diversity of the organisation's programmes makes our fundraising work truly varied. There is huge potential in this role to deliver initiatives that will have a significant impact in growing our donor base, including testing new ways of engaging with audiences, integrating marketing across new channels, expanding use of online advertising, SEO and AdWords, harnessing data to create more effective campaigns, engaging thought-leaders and influencers online, and investigating new innovative ways of reaching key audiences.
The ideal candidate will have experience of the latest trends in fundraising and will have both the creative and technical skills to deliver key elements of the direct marketing strategy. Essential Job Responsibilities
Supporter development
●Lead on integrating online and offline fundraising, offering supporters a cross-platform experience
●Lead on innovating our digital offering - taking ideas from conception through to testing and beyond
●Work with the Individual Giving Officer to innovate our fundraising offerings and find new ways of acquiring supporters
●Ensure that Mercy Corps grows the number of engaged supporters and income across channels to meet targets
●Responsible for day-to-day implementation of digital campaigns and activity (including email, PPC, social, programmatic and display), to deliver against set targets
●With support from the rest of the team, develop and edit digital fundraising content suitable for target audiences, such as prospective online donors or re-engaging lapsed donors, ensuring consistency with Mercy Corps branding and style guidelines
●Review and analyse results of fundraising activities and make changes to future work based on this
●Regularly obtain feedback from the audiences that we are contacting to ensure that we are optimising the way we communicate
●Identify new platforms and channels, and keep abreast of current fundraising trends and comparator organisations to ensure that Mercy Corps in Europe is relevant with supporters

Living Condition

The Worker Support Centre (WSC) is a Scotland based charity that promotes decent work and prevents exploitation. We support marginalised and isolated workers in labour sectors where there is a high risk of abuse and exploitation. We work in partnership with workers to build power to secure and advance workplace rights. We prevent human trafficking for forced labour by acting to reduce the risks of worker exploitation. WSC values include: respect for human rights, representation, transparency, equality and innovation.
WSC support includes advice, mediation, advocacy and assisted reporting to enforcement agencies. Our worker engagement informs policy change activity to address harms faced by those in high-risk work. In 2023 and 2024 WSC activities were targeted at workers in seasonal agriculture on the UK Seasonal Worker visa (SWV). During this time, we provided advice, support, and information to 1031 people in relation to the SWV. WSC is now embarking on a new project to engage workers in health and social care to advance social care workers’ rights through worker education and power sessions.
About the role
This role is focused on advancing seasonal agricultural and social care workers’ rights by supporting WSC’s policy and advocacy work. In this role you will support WSC meet two of its four core objectives to work together with workers to claim spaces for power and representation in decision making; and to build the field of knowledge about workers and their experiences to influence policy. As well as work delivered directly by WSC, our policy work includes coordinating with coalitions such as the Ethical Trading Initiative, the Seasonal Worker Interest Group and the Scottish Food Coalition.
WSC strives to achieve representation of individuals with lived experience of the issues on which we work at all levels of our organisation and actively promote applications from individuals with experience of the issues on which we work.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Policy and advocacy
· Lead in the development of components of policy, ensuring engagement of workers and cross-organisational engagement.
· Identify emerging legislation and develop an influencing strategy.
· Lead key influencing moments and processes, working in collaboration with policy coalitions of which WSC is part.
· Draft worker-informed and evidenced briefings, submissions to consultations in support of worker policy priorities and engage closely with civil servants, Government officials and other decision makers on policy objectives.
· Support participatory engagement with workers to understand what democratic engagement platforms might best suit them and help create opportunities to influence processes.
· Track, assess, understand and respond to future legislative developments and the strategic direction being taken by UK Government, UK Parliament, Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government.
Stakeholder engagement
· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders in Government, enforcement authorities and industry.
· Contribute to wider sectoral networks and groups, including attending meetings and setting joint policy strategy objectives.

· Support workers to create spaces for policy influence, engaging in actively listening to worker priorities and concerns.

Person Specification
1) KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
- WSC Organisational knowledge, and/or knowledge of the issues on which we work: labour rights, migrant rights, organising, anti-trafficking and human rights.
- Technical understanding of policy specific to the subject areas on which WSC works, particularly opportunity scanning, strategic entry points and key stakeholders of influence.
- Legislation/Policy: The post-holder will lead on the development of policy, engagement with legislation in passage through parliament (UK or Scottish) and implementation of legislation. Considerable liaison with external stakeholders is required, understanding on how policy/legislation is made and knowledge and understanding of its technical content is essential.

PACKAGE
Pay is dependent on location. The UK salary of £55,000 plus pension contribution will be converted using ICSC scales. All locations receive 28 days annual leave, counselling support and annual well-being days.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Development will provide overall leadership for Videre’s fundraising activities. They will develop and implement the fundraising strategy, ensuring income goals are achieved in the short, medium and long-term through direct relationship building, input to programme design, concept note drafting and deployment of the CEO and Senior Directors. They will be part of the organisational Management Team, working closely with colleagues to deliver on the organisational strategy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic planning and management
- Lead on the delivery of the 2025-2027 fundraising strategy, adjusting as required, ensuring that Videre has the resources to deliver on its mission and strategic goals.
- Lead on maintaining our backbone infrastructure of prospect research, concept note coordination and drafting and deployment of senior staff (including yourself) into the right spaces with the right messages and background information.
- Track progress against the fundraising strategy, with regular reporting to senior management and the Board of Trustees against strategic indicators and outcomes, and pro-actively address any potential shortfalls.
- Maintain detailed and accurate income projections and forecasts, liaising with the Head of Finance & Compliance to closely monitor organisational cash flow.
- Line manage the Trust & Foundation Officer (expected to hire in late 2025), providing close support on operational tasks, time management and prioritisation, and pro-actively supporting professional development.
- Monitor external donor trends and adapt plans accordingly to ensure Videre remains well placed to secure funding over the long-term.
- Contribute to long-term organisational planning and positioning, and proactively identify aligned funding environments and opportunities.
- Fully participate and contribute to the Management Team, raising fundraising matters where appropriate and helping ensure the organisation achieves its strategic mission.
- Manage the fundraising budget to ensure most effective use of resources.
Donor cultivation, approaches, and retention
- With the CEO, develop and maintain strong working relationships across Videre’s donor portfolio, ensuring timely and responsive communications with all existing and potential funders, including institutional donors, private foundations, trusts, individuals, and other partner organisations.
- Lead the development of cultivation strategies for existing and potential donors and manage their implementation.
- Develop materials, including proposals, grant applications, and supporting documentation tailored to the donor audience, ensuring accuracy, fit, and timely submission.
- Collaborate closely with Head of Finance & Compliance to prepare proposal and grant application budgets.
- Conduct prospect research and monitor new funding opportunities, analyse donor trends and maintain relevant knowledge on donor priorities, rules and requirements.
- Analyse the reasons for success or failure of funding proposals, extracting and applying learning to improve the success rate of future funding applications.
- Ensure adherence to Videre’s Ethical Funding Policy, carrying out due diligence on funding sources where appropriate
- Support regional staff with the development of strategic relationships with in-country donor offices and government embassies.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contacts, meetings and points of cultivation with all donors, and ensure proper follow up.
Grant management and reporting
- Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality donor progress reports, coordinating teams as required for input.
- Ensure contract information is maintained and recorded accurately.
- Develop and maintain a tracking system to ensure timely submission of proposals, reports and acknowledgements.
- Liaise with the Head of Finance & Compliance to support organisational and donor audits.
Other
- Ensure Videre’s website and donor portal are regularly updated and effectively communicate the organisations values, mission and activities.
- Further organisational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals by ensuring project teams are equal partners during the creation of funding strategy, proposal development, reporting, and the creation of key communications materials.
- Manage relationships with fundraising related consultants, designers and suppliers, including fiscal sponsors and the fundraising regulator.

This is a unique opportunity to lead individual fundraising in Scotland, driving forward our mission to protect and restore nature while achieving ambitious income goals.
Reporting to Head of Funding Development, the role will take ownership of our significant major donor income stream and lead on developing and implementing a Major Donor and Individuals fundraising strategy in Scotland.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maximising donations from your own portfolio of donors and developing new prospects.
- Working closely with Scotland and UK colleagues to develop and deliver solicitation strategies either directly, through senior management or working with the UK Philanthropy team. This includes understanding donors’ wishes and aspirations and identifying links with approved priority projects with the aim of securing substantial gifts.
- Organising and participating in events and meetings (online and face to face) to build relationships with both existing donors, demonstrate the impact of gifts received, and engage with prospects for future income.
- Working alongside senior leaders and external groups to raise RSPB’s profile within the philanthropic community.
- Managing a Senior Fundraising Officer, developing shared targets and work plans to achieve team objectives.
What we need from you:
- A proven track record of securing major gifts and building strong donor relationships.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire both internal and external audiences.
- Excellent writing skills for compiling funding proposals and update reports
- Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse portfolio of activities and philanthropist contacts.
- Awareness of, and interest in, the challenges facing the natural world
- People management skills
The role is primarily responsible for raising money for work undertaken by RSPB Scotland, and as such the successful candidate will ideally be based in Scotland but location can be flexible and homebased. Due to the need to meet philanthropists in remote locations a full UK drivers’ licence is essential.
