Together We Learn is a small international development charity with a vision to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia by enabling disadvantaged children to access quality education.

We have been working closely with our Ethiopian partner organisation for over 25 years to achieve this. Our UK team is a small, close- knit team that supports the fundraising, international communications, and project delivery of the Ethiopian team.

Our approach is to work alongside state education infrastructure, addressing a range of needs related to access to and quality of education, as well as children’s wellbeing.

Our work with schools includes school infrastructure projects - providing safe, local schools - and supporting teachers with training and resources to inspire children to flourish in the classroom. We also work closely with the children, their families and communities to understand and address the issues they face at home and how these impact their ability to attend and concentrate in school.

We are at the start of a new strategic phase with a focus on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner organisation to shift the power and be more locally-led in our work.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a connection to Ethiopia, or from the African diaspora.

Project Coordinator

The Role: The Project Coordinator supports our Ethiopian Projects team deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on our various project activities. The role involves regular communication with both our regional project teams and management, supporting the team to meet project deadlines, driving continual programme improvement through monitoring, evaluation and learning, and supporting the UK Chief Executive with project reporting and funding proposals.

Reports to: Chief Executive
Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time role 40%)
Salary: £8,620 per annum (21,550 pro rata)
Location: London office, preference for hybrid working, remote applications considered, employee must be living in the UK.

Responsibilities

Supporting project delivery (70%)

• Regularly liaising with our project teams in Ethiopia to support them to monitor project deliverables alongside project plans in a timely manner and ensure changes are communicated to relevant parties
• Support with monitoring, evaluation and learning processes by ensuring monitoring and evaluation deadlines are met, collating, analysing and formatting data for review, leading discussions on impact review and supporting discussions for continuous programme development. Including managing office volunteers to support our work in these areas.
• Support the Ethiopian team to track and understand markers of good quality, sustainable projects and to continuously improve upon these.
• Supporting the Ethiopia team to develop projects, applying learning from evaluations and developing new project concepts.
• Supporting the team to include and prioritise beneficiary perspective to lead project design, implementation and monitoring procedures 
• Support the Ethiopian team to develop, include and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, with special attention to safeguarding.

Fundraising (20%)

• Reporting to donors and funders on project delivery, ensuring deadlines for reporting are met, collating data and Ethiopian team feedback, and writing up funder reports in a timely manner.
• Supporting the Chief Executive to research potential funders and prepare and evidence funding proposals.
• Drafting template funder proposals.
• Occasionally attending funder events
• Support the UK team to communicate with supporters via monitoring the fundraising inbox, liaising with international volunteers, tour guests or other queries.

Other (10%)

• Support with building the capacity of the Ethiopian team through working practices and training in relevant areas.
• Communicate about our work with stakeholders via writing blogs, newsletter and Annual Report chapters.

The Role

As the Team Manager, you will support the Service Manager in overseeing aspects of the delivery of our LXP team. You will lead and motivate a small team of around 11 individuals to deliver quality and impactful interventions: resolving and responding to any issues and implementing any necessary changes.

You will promote the development of best practices in Lived Experience working across services and within the wider organisation.

You will assist in managing key stakeholder relationships, have management responsibilities over the contracts attached to our services, and work closely with and be supported by the Service Manager, and other members of the senior management team. You will also work closely with our partners.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

We are looking for a Team Manager with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in mental health, wellbeing, and behaviour change work with adults. You will also have experience in managing a complex service which involves multiple partners and services with vulnerable people.

You will also have:

• Relevant management qualification and or relevant management experience for the role.
• Experience in managing incidents, risk and/or safeguarding.
• Experience in managing staff and volunteers effectively.
• To work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (statutory and voluntary).
• An understanding of confidentiality, consent, and information sharing, including GDPR.
• An understanding of Safeguarding policy and practice.

You must be able to advise Boards and Executives comprehensively and succinctly on corporate governance matters and excel at building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues across all levels of an organisation and key external stakeholders (e.g. regulators and external advisors). Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.

This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of Growth will have oversight of Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth within the charity. Main Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, you'll support the Head of Philanthropy and the established Advancement team across key fundraising priorities. Your previous experience with managing executives/senior volunteers will contribute to supporting the Director of Advancement in managing the activities and priorities of a volunteer-led fundraising board. 

This is a pivotal new position created to contribute to a significant uplift in UWC International’s fundraising and prospect identification efforts in support of the new UWC Endowment and a future campaign. Your work will support the strategic and tactical planning and operational effectiveness of UWCI’s fundraising programme and the strategic development of global UWC funding priorities.

Could you be our new Brand & Marketing Manager?

We’re looking for a creative, dynamic and enthusiastic comms professional to join us on our mission to ensure no child or young person ever has to grieve alone. As our Brand & Marketing Manager you will be at the forefront of growing and developing the Winston’s Wish brands and find new and innovative ways to reach the children and young people who need us. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days will be the same.

From sharing the voices of our incredible Youth Ambassadors far and wide, to marketing fantastic fundraising initiatives to identifying new opportunities to reach young people, you’ll play a fundamental role in ensuring bereaved children and young people know they can put their trust in Winston’s Wish when their worlds are turned upside down by grief.

Main Responsibilities

• Marketing outreach and project management
• Work alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications to action the charity’s strategic marketing plan.
• Lead a team of marketeers in planning, delivering and measuring effective projects to drive revenue and reach across multiple areas of the company.
• End to end management of comms plans to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard using data and analysis to refine and develop plans in order to reach targets.
• Oversee marketing activity across all channels, with a strong emphasis on developing data led digital marketing. Ensuring the team are constantly analysing, refining and optimising.
• Write influential and fluent copy aimed at different target audiences to engage and ultimately drive interest.

We are recruiting for a Senior Youth (Support) Worker to join our small, friendly team. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled colleague, with the vision, knowledge and commitment to lead on the delivery of our curriculum, projects, club sessions and activities with, and for, the young people of Claremont.

You will support our team of youth support workers, volunteers and Peer Educators, helping them to use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of our members. You will develop relationships and partnerships within the community to develop further support and opportunities for young people. You will also support the evaluation of our work, ensuring we are continually meeting the needs and interests of young people.
