About the Role:
As Area Manager you will oversee delivery of high-quality services.
Facilitate consultation across the teams and other key stakeholders to develop new and build on existing good practice, implement and support the strategic direction of the area business plan.
Drive continuous improvement of performance through use of data and other operational information to ensure teams perform to the highest standards at all times.
Help build on and lead external relationships promoting positive working relationships to ensure the best possible support and outcomes is provided to eligible service users.
Ensure we are meeting the needs of our service users to a standard as expected of our commissioners and partners.
As Area Manager, you will develop and maintain effective relationships and formal partnerships across organisations and with key stakeholders, and promote and develop the services of VS. You will be responsible for leading the designated area strategically and ensuring it complies with national service delivery standards and best practice guidelines. You will also represent the charity in an appropriate and professional manner to commissioners, stakeholders, external bodies and the media, whilst acting as a voice for victims to the wider community.
Key responsibilities of the role are to ensure the successful delivery of a high quality, efficient and responsive services to victims, the identification of income growth and partnership opportunities and building relationships with relevant commissioning bodies and other stakeholders. A focus on team development, and the monitoring of performance and quality are key within the role.
Please note that travel across a large area is an essential part of this role and you may be asked to work unsociable hours on occasion. You must be able to attend in person meetings with commissioners and partners across North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire & Humberside, as well as attending offices to meet returning staff.

About the role
The post holder will be supporting the Project Coordinator to deliver the My Health Matters project. The role will focus on identifying and addressing systemic health inequalities across Greater Manchester, by utilising a peer research approach.
The post will be based in our office at Swan St but will require travel across Greater Manchester and occasional travel to other cities including possible overnights.

Who are we looking for?

A passion for person-centred care is essential, as is experience in healthcare, social care, or a related field with a focus on dementia care or RCC principles.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinically led Community Intensive Rehabilitation Team within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust and as such although the service manager employed by Birmingham Mind will be your line manager you will be working as part of an integrated medical and psychology team. You will be working in partnership with people who are experiencing mental health difficulties who are currently living in their own accommodation within the Birmingham area and require a period of intensive rehabilitation. Ideally you will be QCF/NVQ level 3 qualified or have a willingness to work towards this qualification. It is essential that you have an empathy for people experiencing mental health issues and are committed to service user involvement and empowerment. They are offering an exciting opportunity for a Head of Residential Childcare Services to lead, develop and oversee seven children’s homes, ensuring the highest standard of bespoke care and support is provided for each young person. They are underway with registering their seven homes individually with Ofsted and the post holder will play a pivotal role in leading on the registrations and ensuring its success. This role will not hold registration for the services.
About you
This opportunity will allow you to use your existing knowledge and expertise in the management of Children’s Homes, to implement new ideas, support and develop their Registered Managers, whilst ensuring best practice and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
You’ll be working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across the organisation, so well developed interpersonal skills are essential. You will be someone that thinks outside the box; taking service expansion and admissions into consideration, alongside managing the day-today operations of the service. You will be creative and strategic in your approach allowing you to effectively bring the Children’s Services strategic plan to realisation.

• Substantial experience working with children with learning disabilities in a residential care setting
• previous experience working as a Registered Manager (or similar)
