Contract: Fixed Term September 2024 – August 2025
Salary: £21,136
Main purpose of role
To work in the Oddfellows office as part of the Care and Welfare team supporting members directly and helping local Oddfellows Branches to enhance the health and welfare of members.
Main duties
1. Information, Advice and Guidance
Answering telephone calls to the Oddfellows Care and Welfare Helpline and responding to written and email queries from members and Branch staff and volunteers ringing on their behalf and maintaining records on member database. Role will include
· Dealing with complex queries from members or Branches, including around safeguarding
· Some casework, research and sharing relevant information with other team members
· 2.5 sessions / cover a week on phones/email.
2. Delivery of Oddfellows Benefits
As part of work on the Care and Welfare helpline, explaining eligibility criteria and how to access the benefits and support available to members through the Care and Welfare Department and undertaking related follow up and casework. This will include.
· Progressing applications for the support through the Care Benefit and putting care packages in place
· Adhoc support with Convalescence and Care Benefit administration in busy periods
3. Oddfellows Legal Aid Scheme
Providing support to the Head of Care to manage the effective delivery of the Legal Aid Scheme. This will include.
· On-going support for members and Branches to navigate and access the scheme effectively
· Assisting with the recording and updating of member records for reporting and administrative purposes
· Supporting and alerting the Head of Care and CEO of any non-standard cases with additional risk or cost implications during the course of advising and supporting members and Branches
4. Assistance to Head of Care
Provide any assistance to the Head of Care as requested.
5. Project/development work
Assist, where requested, the Head of Care in relation to specific pieces of work to support the department.
6. Safeguarding
Provide support to Branches and members around safeguarding issues via the welfare helpline and work alongside the Safeguarding Lead (Head of Care and Welfare) and Deputy Adult Safeguarding lead (Care and Welfare Officer) for The Oddfellows. This will include supporting other team members and Branches with safeguarding cases and assisting with the roll out of adult safeguarding as needed.
7. Other
Work with colleagues to ensure the efficient running of the Department and contribute towards the ongoing development of services to meet the needs of

Key responsibilities include:

- Work with the Programmes team to identify matches between potential donors’ interests and current funding requirements, ensuring that funders’ priorities are carefully balanced with overall organisational funding needs.

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
- An ability to build and drive philanthropic programmes, with an outstanding track record of soliciting and securing significant gifts from high-net worth individuals, ideally at a 6-figure level.
- A strong track record of creating and driving high-value stewardship and communications plans.
- Experience building long term, philanthropic partnerships with both current and prospective high net worth individuals and corporates.
- Experience working with senior colleagues to grow networks, income and identify opportunities
- Experience proactively developing new major donor and corporate fundraising initiatives, including giving circles and fundraising boards.
- Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information at the highest level.
- An in-depth understanding of the expectations of high-net-worth individuals, including time management, meticulous attention to detail and the production of high quality, creative and compelling materials.

Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of Regional Managers, where you will work in partnership with employers and schools to deliver our impactful programme.

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

You will be responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges and a portfolio of employer partnerships. Regional Managers are also responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support.
There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

We are currently looking for a Communications and Engagement Business Manager to join the Foundation on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Communications and Engagement Business Manager is there to provide project and business management support to enable the Communications and Engagement leadership team to focus on progressing the work of the business area and leading the wider team. Key Resposibilities

Job purpose
This is a pivotal role created to support an ambitious £80m fundraising appeal that will culminate in the creation of the new Royal Free London Cancer Centre.
The RFL, is one of the busiest cancer services in London, combining local care for a population of 2.5m with specialist services relied on by patients from all over the UK and beyond. By 2030, the number of people diagnosed with cancer in north central London is forecast to increase by 42% to 66,000 as the population ages.
The RFL urgently needs to increase its diagnostic, treatment, research and development capacity to meet the needs of our patients. In response, the Royal Free Charity is preparing a major fundraising appeal to support:
- the capital costs for the construction and equipping of a dedicated centre
- the delivery of cancer-related support services.
The campaign communications manager will support the activities of our fundraising directorate in the private phase (Autumn 2024 onwards) and the launch of the public phase of our appeal in early 2026.
The postholder will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication plans to engage philanthropists, existing supporters, grateful patients, stakeholders and the public. It promises to be a varied and rewarding role in a small but highly collaborative and friendly team.
The role will report to our head of communications and work closely with the campaign director and colleagues in our fundraising directorate and with key clinical leads in the RFL.

Engagement and communications department
The communications team is responsible for keeping our supporters and local residents informed about the difference we make to the patients and staff of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

The objectives of the post are to:
- develop and deliver the overarching communications and engagement plan for the cancer campaign
- work with the campaign director and colleagues in our fundraising directorate to support the development and delivery of donor-specific communication plans

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity also funds a range of projects across the UK, providing innovative services within healthcare, legal advice and mental health support to facilitate a long-term transition out of homelessness. The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate and support their diverse programmes.
The Major Donor Manager will develop and deliver a leading-edge programme of major donor fundraising that maximises sustainable income and long-term value for the Charity, ensuring that high-value fundraising opportunities arising from the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026 are optimised. They will ensure the highest quality of stewardship and supporter engagement, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless approach to major donor cultivation. Key duties include:

Work with the Head of Leadership Giving to further develop the Charity’s major donor fundraising strategy and budget, maximising sustainable net income and capitalising on opportunities afforded by the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal in 2026.

Acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s values and programmes, working collaboratively to provide bespoke donor information and cases for support.

Produce and implement solicitation and development plans for existing major donors and prospects, developing opportunities for them to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities.

Establish and deliver a programme of major donor research, solicitation, cultivation and stewardship that drives interest, engagement and major giving.

Develop and deliver high quality, innovative and persuasive pitches (including collateral and supporting budgets) to prospective and existing major donors to deliver income and pipeline development targets.

Develop relationships with Trustees and other key stakeholders where appropriate in order to access peer networks for potential prospecting, supporting them as peer advocates and ambassadors for the Charity.

Establish and support major donor solicitation vehicles (for example volunteer leadership boards) to aid in the delivery of the major donor fundraising strategy and programme.

Work collaboratively across the St Martins’ partner charities to ensure major donor relationships are stewarded in a way that optimises engagement and giving to St Martins’ causes.
We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

Successful track record in securing and growing financial contributions from major donor audiences.

Proven experience working with senior volunteers, influencers or advisers to achieve major donor fundraising success, either from development boards or giving networks.

About the role
As the Trusts & High Value Relationships Manager, you will play a key role in building and managing the charity's relationships with high-value funders. You will collaborate with senior leadership to deliver income from Trusts, Statutory, Corporate, and Philanthropy sources. About the organisation
2024 marks a hugely important milestone for the Latymer Foundation - its their 400th anniversary!
The Latymer Foundation at Hammersmith was established in 1624 by Edward Latymer, a lawyer and local landowner, with the aim of offering financial support to eight children living in the area, providing them with clothes and giving them an education. An education which would not otherwise have been possible for them to access.
Today, the Foundation runs Latymer Upper and Prep School and one of its main aims is to provide bursaries (financial support for school fees) to as many local children as possible, ensuring that any promising and talented child can access a first-class Latymer education, regardless of their family's financial situation.
As of September 2023, the Foundation is supporting bursaries for 1 in every 5 students at Latymer Upper School, and is aiming to increase this to 1 in 4 students by 2024.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Fundraising Manager is a key member of a sector leading development team. Latymer's bursary programme is one of the most successful in any UK independent school. Since 2002, the number of pupils receiving means tested support has grown from just 7 to more than 280 as of September 2023, the majority of whom receive between 75-100% fee remission.
This growth has only been possible thanks to philanthropy through the Latymer community: parents, alumni, Governors, staff, and students.
The Fundraising Manager is at the heart of the community fundraising, focussing on the full cycle of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver the strategy and tactics to increase giving and participation in support of our annual bursaries appeals (including Upper School and Prep) using a range of channels and touchpoints (e.g. DM, digital, phone campaign, events, face to face)
* Design the stewardship matrix and tactics to thank our supporters and develop compelling content that surprises and delights our donors, including events and the delivery of our annual campaign impact report, Campaign Review
* Provide a supporter experience that increases conversion and retention and builds long-term commitment to the Foundation, especially important this year as we celebrate Inspiring Minds and start to focus on future campaigns
* Develop case studies to illustrate the impact of donations across communications and devise ways to increase opportunities to see these stories
* Utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate appeal/activity performance and inform future tactics
* Manage the process of researching potential donors and other potential supporters of the Foundation
* Manage portfolio of leadership giving donors to make individual approaches to mid-level donors in support of the Bursaries Appeal
* Work closely with the Bursaries Appeal volunteers to raise awareness of the bursaries
* programme and increase giving particularly amongst current parents
* Oversee the student-led bursaries fundraising Club (RAISE)
