About the Consultancy:
Muslim Aid UK (MA) is seeking a procure a consultant to plan and facilitate an organisational Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) self-assessment process. This consultant will review its performance/deliverables against the CHS and then develop an improvement plan for MA to work on over the coming 12 months. The overall aim is to help MA to deliver improved accountability and increased effectiveness for the people affected by humanitarian crisis.
About the Role:
The consultant will:
- Support the MA team to complete a comprehensive validated CHS self-assessment.
- Provide an outline of the areas of compliance/ non-compliance with the standards.
- Develop an organizational improvement plan.
- Provide insight into organisational readiness to move towards an independent verification/certification process.
Deliverables
- Draft and share a short assignment inception report.
- Conduct a desk review of Muslim Aid documents for the documentation survey.
- Formulate a summary report and improvement plan with a set of key recommendations including timeline, to allow compliance with CHS, with the objective of achieving CHS verification.
- Present the main self-assessment findings during an internal validation webinar involving all MAUK HQ, Country Offices and implementing partners.
- Submit final report incorporating the outcomes of the self-assessment, including an improvement plan, should be delivered at the end of the consultancy assignment. This should be written in alignment with the MAUK standards including a two/three-page executive summary.

About You:
The successful consultant will need to have:
- A relevant degree in economics, international development, disaster management or humanitarian aid or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Significant experience with humanitarian work, including experience with project implementation and management, as well as knowledge of current humanitarian issues, trends, standards, specifically the Core Humanitarian Standards; Sphere Standards.
- Previous significant experience of organizational development, preferably within humanitarian organisations.
- Experience with CHS assessment/verification process.
- Good written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and implement assignments remotely.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of other working languages Arabic, Urdu and Bengali would be an asset.
- Experience of working in complex organisational structure.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented, creative and dedicated marketing professional to join our small but powerful team to help deliver our new strategy.
As a new role in the hospice’s Fundraising & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager will join an existing team of fundraising managers working to maximise awareness and support of the hospice in order to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support the hospice’s income generation strategy, including line management of the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, and external agencies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional, used to working closely with income generating teams. They will oversee the delivery of a compelling programme of multi-channel communications with the sole aim of increasing the awareness of and support for the charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and communications planning, delivery and performance management
- Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, develop a clear marketing and communications plan to support the strategies for fundraising, retail and volunteering.
- Implement, monitor and analyse marketing and communications plans and budgets, producing impactful insights and reports to guide our ever-evolving work through all communication channels.
- Develop and maximise the marketing mix, identifying innovative initiatives and working across online and offline channels, to best support the promotion of all income generation activities across the hospice.
- Ensure compliance to industry standards and best practice at all times.
- Support the fundraising strategy in proactively researching and targeting audiences across the catchment area to ensure a broadening of reach and awareness of the breadth of the hospice’s services.
- Be forward facing and lead on engagement with clinical colleagues to promote the need for strong patient stories and effective storytelling to support fundraising.

Operational delivery
- Lead on the writing and distribution of appropriate and engaging press releases, paid adverts, local village features and articles.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee delivery of a planned (and reactive) social media programme, maximising opportunities to increase our profile, using online planning and Analytical tools to plan and report on digital channels to improve targeting and supporter journeys.
- Work closely with the Website Editor to oversee and optimise the KHH website: creating and updating content for the charity and clinical colleagues, including the EPiC Resource Centre.
- Work with the Website Editor and Supporter Care team to ensure that integration of the CRM (Beacon) and website is optimised, to maximise supporter journeys, supporter preference compliance and insights.
- Work together with relevant charity and clinical colleagues and our designer to prepare, design and deliver high-quality marketing materials.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee the production of the monthly supporter e-newsletters.
- Alongside your immediate team, manage production of the bi-annual Katharine House magazine from start to finish, with content and thematic planning with fundraising and volunteering managers.
- Lead on content creation to use across the charity. Continue to manage and regularly update our library (filed, captioned, tagged) of patient, staff and volunteer stories with consent, quality photography and video content for use across all of income generation.
- Manage and oversee the charity’s online channels including website, ensuring accurate, up-to-date and engaging content, and ensure all online advertising (inc. paid social media adverts), Google AdWords grant and SEO are effectively managed.

Summary
WE ARE HIRING AND SEEKING A REGIONAL SAFEGUARDING MANAGER
The purpose of the Regional Safeguarding Manager role is to provide line management and professional supervision to a team of Regional Safeguarding Leads operating across eight regions in England.
As the Regional Safeguarding Manager, you will be a member of the National Safeguarding Team (NST), working to support safeguarding practice in Dioceses and Cathedrals across the Church of England. You will be responsible for supervising the Regional Safeguarding Leads and supporting them in fulfilling their complex roles. You will work closely with colleagues in the NST to ensure Church-wide consistency in approach.
You will work across the regions supporting the Regional Safeguarding leads to establish opportunities for shared resourcing, working arrangements and commissioning of collaborative services. In addition, you will be supporting the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to encourage consistency of practice.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing Professional Supervision to the Regional Safeguarding Leads
- Providing advice and guidance on the engagement between Regional Safeguarding Leads and a diocese/cathedral.
- Overseeing the use of tools and frameworks to examine practices and processes by Regional Safeguarding Leads to ensure the Church of England's National Safeguarding Standards are being consistently met or worked towards.
- Encouraging the Regional Safeguarding Leads to explore opportunities for the joint commissioning of specific services, including joint working and sharing of resources.
- Establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders (operational and strategic) at a National and Regional level.

Key role requirements
- This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work from the office 1 day per week.
- The post holder will be required to travel extensively across the country to visit each of the regions. It is anticipated that this will include an annual visit to each diocese and cathedral and at least monthly meetings in Church House, Westminster.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.
You will also need:
- Experience in Senior management of safeguarding children and/or vulnerable adults at a local and regional level, including the development of safeguarding capabilities and practice.
- A professional qualification or equivalent experience relevant to safeguarding at a senior level.
- An up-to-date knowledge of research and evidence-based practice models relevant to safeguarding and the wider social and political context.
- A strategic and operational experience in managing staff and teams, and working collaboratively with specialist and non-specialist colleagues.
- The ability to oversee complex safeguarding cases.
- The ability to develop the professional potential of individuals.
- Personal resilience to work effectively in a highly pressurised environment under significant scrutiny.

About the role:
· Provide psychotherapy sessions on outreach in Newham.
· Flexible approach to meeting vulnerable clients.
· Deliver specialised outreach psychotherapy to individuals in Newham, focusing particularly on those who are or have been rough sleepers.
· Work collaboratively with Street Outreach Response Teams and other specialist agencies.
· Offer both formal psychotherapy sessions and informal support, adapting to clients' needs in terms of scheduling and locations.
· Conduct street shifts alongside the commissioned Outreach Service, introducing and promoting our service to potential clients.
· Support individuals transitioning into emergency, temporary, or long-term accommodation.
In order to support the achievement of these aims, the outreach psychotherapist will be responsible for:
Manage a caseload of 12 clients per week, attend MDTs, attend team meetings, attend any mandatory multidisciplinary meetings. The candidate will be expected to attend CPD, which will be organised by the candidate themselves, while Providence Row offers a generous budget of £1500 per annum.
The candidate will also be expected to contribute towards the smooth running of the service and willing to help and participate with any current services needs.
