Responsibilities of our Community Fundraising Officer:

• This role supports the delivery, growth and reach of community fundraising in a defined geographical location and supports the development and delivery of a local fundraising strategy in line with the organisation’s broader income generation objectives.
• The Community Fundraising Officer will establish, implement, develop and maximize all community fundraising opportunities, increase income, deliver exceptional supporter stewardship and exemplary volunteer management, working collaboratively with the Community Fundraising Hub Manager and Community Fundraising Volunteer Team Leader to build on past successes and develop a diverse pipeline of community fundraising events and activities that respond to local audience needs.
• The role will also build and develop exceptional fundraising relationships with supporters and volunteers within the defined geographical location to harness the power of our local footprint and raise income and awarenes

What a day might look like for you

It's an exciting time to join us in the decade of our bicentenary as we focus on our Strategy to 2030. The RSPCA works 365 days a year, rescuing all animals of all types from abuse, neglect, and injury. 

Here's some of the key work you'll be doing: 

• Monitor, share and analyse policies, reports, news and announcements (including answers to Parliamentary Questions) from relevant bodies (such as the European Commission, Home Office and Department for Science, Innovation and Technology), proactively and on request, in order to help maintain the Animals in Science Department's knowledge base.
• Search for articles, research papers and general information relevant to the Department's work, to support the work of the scientific staff and maintain the Department's knowledge base regarding research animal welfare and use, ethics and the 3Rs.
• Undertake additional supporting tasks as required, such as helping to organise meetings; laying out and formatting publications; developing guidance and tools to enable further implementation of the 3Rs and robust ethical review of animal use, writing up meeting reports for publication.
• Work closely with the Digital Media team, providing and updating content for the RSPCA website relevant to the Society's work to help laboratory animals.
• Help produce content (eg. articles, infographics) for the public, members of animal ethics committees and other stakeholders, to inform these audiences of issues relating to animal research and testing and of the RSPCA's work in this area.
• Help promote the RSPCA's work for lab animals using a variety of communication channels including social media.
• To represent the RSPCA at relevant forums and give presentations at relevant meetings or workshops, internally and externally.

The Finance and Operations Officer will provide general support to the Head of Finance and Operations across the following areas: 

Office Management

• Managing day-to-day relationship with landlord

• Ensuring office meets all health & safety requirements

• Managing purchases of stationery and office equipment 

• Booking meeting rooms

• Organising catering for internal meetings 

• Supporting with new office search and move to new premises

• Liaising with utility, cleaning and security providers in new premises if required

Human Resources

• Liaising with the external HR providers regarding employee documents

• Maintaining  employee personnel records ensuring that all annual leave and sick leave is recorded correctly

• Assisting in the recruitment of new posts

• Onboarding and welcoming new employees, including ensuring newcomers have the necessary IT and office equipment and access to the required IT systems

Operations

• Assisting the CEO and the wider team with administrative tasks

• Liaising with our external IT providers to ensuring all IT equipment is functioning and replaced when required

• Reviewing/renewing supplier contracts annually (including insurance provider)

Governance

• Organising Trustee meetings 

• Attending and taking notes at specific meetings (e.g. Trustee, Advisory Board, team away days)

• Updating the Charity Commission for changes in Trustees and submission of annual returns 

• Ensuring all policy documents are up to date and reviewed within the correct time frame 

Finance

• Processing invoices and expenses and coordinating twice monthly payment runs

• Reconciliation of the monthly corporate card bills

• Keeping the fixed asset register up-to-date

• Bank account administration 

• Collation of information for the auditors

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills and experiences: 

Essential

• Reliable, trustworthy and discreet

• Confident user of Microsoft or Google packages, in particular excel spreadsheets or google sheets, Word or google docs

Desirable

Terms and Conditions

• Location: Money and Mental Health’s central London office for at least 2 days per week with option for home working the rest of the time. The office is wheelchair accessible.

• Hours: 3 to 4 days (22.5 to 30 hours) a week. The charity has a flexible working policy with core hours of 10am - 3pm and remaining contracted hours distributed throughout the week flexibly. We are open to discussing other flexible arrangements, such as accommodating school runs.

Benefits

• Holidays: 28 days p.a. (including 3 days of annual leave between Christmas and New Year when the office is closed) plus bank holidays, adjusted for the part-time nature of this post and therefore calculated on a pro rata basis.

Community Fundraising Officer (South)

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming ‘Home from Home’ 
where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we’re more than bricks and mortar, 
our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.

around 3,500 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the

The role 
This is a wide-ranging community fundraising role. Activities include supporting family 
fundraising and third-party events in the south such as The Royal Parks Half Marathon and 
The Brighton Marathon. You will be required to forge, develop and grow new and existing

and schools.
Key to this, is the provision of a sensitive and effective supporter journey for new and

Also, you will work collaboratively with the fundraising department and the

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will equally be as 
comfortable supporting families who stay with us who want to fundraise, as you are

You are able to work with a level of autonomy and innovation to develop your fundraising 
portfolio and to increase our profile particularly in the areas close to our houses.

The primary responsibility for the Director of Programmes will be to recruit school partners for our EEF trial, with delivery beginning September 2025. This trial is to test the impact our Peer to Peer coaching programme (Y10s coaching Y7s) can have on the maths attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The trial will require us to recruit 100 participating schools, 50 of whom will receive the intervention, with another 50 allocated to a control group.

Working alongside the CEO and the Programmes Team Leader, you will create and execute a strategy to recruit new schools as participants to this trial. As a result, experience of managing sales or partnerships with schools, or existing connections with senior leaders at secondary schools and multi-academy trusts, would be beneficial.

Alongside this, you will line manage our current Programmes Team Leader, who directly line manages our team of Programme Managers. From Sept 2025, we are expecting our Programmes Team to grow, and you will play a key role in recruiting for that expanded team. At that point, we would expect you to begin line managing a small number of Programme Managers directly.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.
