Our office is based in Downton and that’s where our monthly Executive Team meetings are held. The charity’s board meetings are typically held in London, so applicants are likely to be living in the south of England. We are a remote working charity, and colleagues in the Services Directorate are based in geographies right across the UK – our Service Director will need to be able to travel to stay connected with our work and responsive to external commitments.

Background: Muslim Charities Forum (MCF) is the UK network for British Muslim charities working for social good in the UK and internationally. Through our network of almost 300 charitable organisations, we aim to collectively build a more accountable, transparent and efficient British Muslim charitable sector, in order to improve our ability—both as individual organisations and as a sector—to contribute to a more just and sustainable world. Along with our member organisations, we work with a wider network of partners that includes non-member NGOs, regulatory bodies, civil society partners, and academic institutions, to drive systemic change.

Job Purpose: MCF has a small team, but our impact is far-reaching. The Sector and Business Development Lead has an important role in supporting members and the wider British Muslim charity sector, reporting and working directly with the CEO. The postholder will be responsible for managing change management, organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in 4 core areas including governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and over-seeing advice and guidance to groups around these topics, ensuring that they are informed of the regulatory and legal information necessary, encouraging full compliance with legislation through a designed health-check framework. They will be supported by the wider MCF team as well as trusted external partners and specialists.

The aim of the role is to support the broader work of MCF in developing a strong Muslim-led charity sector, including delivery of workshops and policy development relevant to the speciality areas connected with this post.

Main Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

• Support organisations by facilitating guidance on best practice across the 4 core areas of governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising.

• Identifying and delivering training and resources in the 4 core areas outlined with support from the wider MCF team.

• Managing the development of practical support and advice for activities such as creating, modifying a constitution, restructuring a charity, social investment and business development.

• Identifying patterns and common issues arising from contact with organisations within the sector that indicate individual and organisational development and capacity needs and developing a suitable response to address the need.

• Record all support given on our CRM and through reporting structures.

About the role

Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a significant public health issue in Mali, including Trachoma, Lymphatic Filariasis, Onchocerciasis, Schistosomiasis, and soil-transmitted helminths. These diseases, linked to poverty and poor hygiene, cause serious morbidity and social discrimination, hindering socio-economic development. The Finance Assistant will support the implementation of WHO guidelines for NTD elimination and control, contributing to strategic plans and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role involves managing financial records, logistics, and IT equipment, as well as supporting grant management and collaboration between finance and programme teams. Additionally, the Finance Assistant will help implement HR policies and ensure statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure good collaboration with partners (INGOs, MoH, and Regional Health Directorates).
• Ensure routine data collection into organisational templates.
• Participate in key meetings and keep technical notes of each.
• Support national programmes in the finalisation of various reports and their archiving.
• Support national NTD programmes to implement activities according to required standards.
• Plan and play an active role in the supervision and monitoring of project activities.
• Submit reports of field activities as well as success stories.
• Support the writing of first drafts of Annual Project Reports (APRs).
• Follow up on the Due Diligence process by ensuring all required documents are in place.
• Properly archive all project documents (concept notes, full proposals, log frames, APRs, etc.).
• Work with the Programme Manager to ensure requested information and documents are uploaded into the Programme Portal.
• Participate in the elaboration of annual operational plans.
• Participate in the implementation of Programme Cycle Management (PCM) and Quality Standard Assessment Tool (QSAT) recommendations.

Community Project Coordinator

BACKGROUND

The Donor Conception Network is a charity offering support to families (and prospective families) who are using a donor (egg, sperm or embryo) to conceive their children.

This is a really exciting time for the charity and a great moment to join us as we build on our 30th Anniversary last year. We recently launched a new website that has upgraded our online presence, giving you a great new platform to utilise as part of raising awareness of our services and resources. You’ll be working with our excellent digital consultant who knows the charity very well and can support you in delivering your goals. THE ROLE

We are looking for someone to lead our marketing and communications strategy which will enable Donor Conception Network to grow its membership base, raise its profile and develop its other income sources. As marketing manager, you will work to improve and extend our communications with our stakeholders to increase visibility and awareness of the Network’s unique offer and its value.  This is a hands-on role, and you will have the support of our current digital consultant.

The marketing manager is responsible for creating and delivering a cohesive marketing and communications strategy that:

• Grows membership, book sales and event bookings;
• Improves communications with our stakeholders to increase visibility and awareness of the Network’s unique offer and value.  This includes traditional offline channels but also across our digital platforms too, including Google, social media and email;
• Raises the profile of DCN, strengthens our brand and cements our position as the leading voice for the donor conception community;

CORE DUTIES

• Marketing and communications strategy: create and deliver a marketing and communications strategy including an annual plan and tactics delivery;
• Social media: develop a social media strategy that integrates with the overarching marketing plan.
• You will work with the digital consultant to execute this strategy, ensuring it aligns with our organisational goals and strengthens our brand presence.
• Website content management: ensure the DCN website is an effective and persuasive marketing tool. Assess options for additional functionality, and ensure content remains up to date.
• Brand and reputation management: use marketing and communications tools and opportunities to ensure the DCN brand is well known and respected in the fertility space
• Media and PR: maximise relevant opportunities to promote the Network and raise awareness of, and interest in, our organisation.
• Metrics: put in place tools and metrics to help us quantify the success of the above marketing strategies.

The Role

Salix are currently recruiting a Director of Finance and Resources. A member of the Executive team and the Salix Board, the Director of Finance and Resources role is a key position for the organisation. You will work to deliver on the company’s strategic objectives across finance, governance, and internal audit. About Care4Calais and the Legal Access Department

Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK. 

In northern France we operate year-round from Calais, working alongside communities in Calais and Dunkirk to provide warm clothing, bedding and service provision to displaced people who live in appalling and dangerous conditions. 

Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essential items, as well as providing social support and interaction, including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to medical and educational services. 

Our Legal Access Department is an access to justice project that exists to support people seeking asylum in the UK by facilitating access to legal representation and offering holistic support to people throughout the asylum process. The department, made up mostly of specially trained volunteers, works tirelessly to ensure that people feel informed, empowered, and far less isolated and alone. We conduct one-to-one, complex casework for people seeking asylum for a variety of matters, over the years we have supported thousands of people to secure legal representation. Our current casework channels include securing legal representation and support for people’s asylum claims, challenges to unsuitable accommodation and potential removal from the UK (for example under the previous Rwanda policy), and support of young people in their age dispute matters. Our teams work remotely across the UK. The Department seeks to adapt and amend our services based on the needs of the communities that we work with. 

About the role

The aim of the role is to support and inspire volunteer casework teams to undertake the individual one-to-one casework and support that lies at the heart of what the Legal Access Department does, furthering access to justice for people seeking asylum and refugees. The successful candidate will lead our Asylum Team of volunteer caseworkers to support individuals in their asylum claim, assisting with legal referrals and onward signposting where appropriate. They will work collaboratively with other Volunteer Team Leads and the Head of Department to respond with agility to a fast-moving policy environment.

Responsibilities

Volunteer Team Lead / Coordinator

• Lead existing team(s) of volunteers to undertake their specified casework roles as agreed with the Head of Department.

• Conduct quarterly 1:1s with volunteers to receive feedback, reaffirm commitments, and ensure volunteer wellbeing. Escalate any issues and/or concerns to the Head of Department where necessary.

• Motivate and engage volunteers, taking into account the remote nature of the roles, collaborating with other Volunteer Team Leads.

• Facilitate regular team meetings and/or virtual drop ins for volunteers to ensure continued engagement and space to raise issues or concerns.

• Support volunteer caseworkers undertaking their roles, providing advice on casework and stepping in to support clients where required.

• Oversee the appropriate collection and management of client information and data, ensuring that volunteers adhere to organisation policy at all times.

• Support volunteers to raise safeguarding / protection concerns through the appropriate channels. Escalate concerns where necessary. Support volunteer caseworkers through debriefs.

• Recruit, train and onboard new volunteers with the support of the Head of Department.

• Keep team procedure documentation up to date, implementing changes where required to keep pace with the ever-changing policy environment. Work with the Head of Department to proactively adapt the casework services provided to suit the needs of the communities we work with.

• Report on team progress to the Head of Department, CEO and senior leadership via pre-arranged channels and format.

• Work with the Head of Department to proactively identify systemic issues seen regionally and/or nationally and influence the direction of the Department. Contribute to evidence gathering and furthering any strategic litigation cases undertaken by the Department. 

• Develop and maintain a network of key contacts within relevant authorities, legal teams dealing with immigration and public law matters, and other NGOs focused on support of refugees and people seeking asylum.

Individual casework

• Manage own limited, complex caseload of adult asylum seekers requiring legal representation where required to support the volunteer casework team.

• Identify clients’ individual wellbeing needs and make onward referrals in line with this. Provide emotional support to clients through the process of claiming asylum in the UK.

• Liaise with legal teams on behalf of clients where necessary.

About the role

The Senior Project Officer will be supporting the delivery and documentation of Sightsavers’ ELFA project. You will collaborate with District Local Governments (DLGs) across all Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) endemic regions of Mozambique. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that LF elimination project activities are meticulously planned, implemented, monitored, evaluated, and documented in accordance with the highest standards outlined in Sightsavers’ Programme & Implementation Manual (PIM).

Responsibilities

• Support partners in managing all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, learning, adaptation, and evaluation.
• Work with partners to identify technical support needs for LF elimination estimates.
• Ensure project activities align with WHO guidelines and MoH of Mozambique standards.
• Implement project activities according to Sightsavers’ standards and quality assessment tools (QSAT).
• Coordinate transition and advocacy work with the government for project sustainability.
• Uphold gender, equity, social inclusion, value for money, and sustainability in interventions through integrated plans.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hub Administrative Assistant to work alongside our Hub Team Administrator for a fixed-term, from January 2025 until June 2025.  This role will support our Community Work Manager with the administration necessary to deliver our community work. This currently includes two food pantry sessions a week, and a combined pop-up pantry and Living Room (warm space) session each week.

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

· To process applications to hub projects and manage communication with project members.

· To co-ordinate volunteer communications.

· To create and manage volunteer rotas.

· To ensure team leaders have all relevant information for each session.

· To ensure data is populated and managed accurately, and according to GDPR requirements.

The successful post holder must have:

· Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
