About the role

We are seeking an Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer, working with the Impact and Evaluation Manager, Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and with federation members.The role will be central to the delivery of strategic commitment to work together to record, study, continuously improve and broadcast our collective impact.

It’s an exciting time for the Emmaus Federation as we roll out a new In-Form (salesforce) CRM system and interlinked Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Framework.

The role will play a crucial part in implementing, gathering feedback and developing new systems and tools to be utilised by Emmaus communities.

The role will be varied in nature, one day might involve conducting interviews with people experiencing homelessness, then next providing support to a member of staff to improve a communities MEL practice, the following day might involve analysing a data set and writing a briefing paper.

Who are we looking for?

The Impact and Evaluation Senior Officer will play a key role in supporting the Emmaus federation to understand and demonstrates the impact of our work. 

The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and practical evaluation skills coupled with the people skills to make this work accessible to a range of stakeholders.

They will need to be comfortable working as part of a remote team and able to travel to Emmaus communities across the UK to work with staff and companions.

Background to School Food Matters

School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

About Young Marketeers

Young Marketeers is our flagship food education programme which gives primary school children an opportunity to learn about food production, grow their own veg, and set up a stall at their local community market. The programme began in 2013 at London’s Borough Market.  Now, thanks to the support of The National Lottery’s Community Fund, we are taking the programme to cities across England.

Job Purpose

· To manage our Young Marketeers programme across England

Key Tasks include:

Staff management and training

• Provide support and training to a team of freelance Project Officers/Gardeners across the country
• Organise induction of new staff, including development of resources and training packages

Partner relationships

• Conduct desk research on schools and partners in new cities for recruitment

· Maintain good relationships with freelance team, schools and local partners, and visit regions

This 12 month project will help load accurate new and historic data onto our new CRM, MS Dynamics. You will work on designing new processes for importing current and ongoing financial transactions from our trusted suppliers. This will involve working with data and fundraising colleagues, selecting the most appropriate technology, writing the documentation, training others as well as ensuring accurate and timely loading of the data once live.   

In May we launched our new CRM Dynamics 365 with small data sets in a staggered approach working team by team. You will be a detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with proven experience in managing data imports and ETL processes. Future Roots Supported accommodation is located in Welwyn Garden City. What will you be doing? 

• Manage a varied caseload with differing timescales and deadlines.

Overview

This role bridges the Strategic Partnerships team in Fundraising and the Federation Strategy group, supporting YMCA England & Wales in securing and delivering impactful projects for young people and communities. You'll work on national programmes, helping build project infrastructure, monitor progress, and support local YMCAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Support the setup and delivery of new initiatives, ensuring effective infrastructure and resource management.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Develop systems to track and report on project outcomes, providing key data for funders and internal use.
• Communication & Relationship Management: Maintain strong communication with internal and external partners, facilitating smooth project execution.
• Support to Local YMCAs: Manage contracts and agreements with local YMCAs, providing administrative support as needed.
• Federation Strategy Support: Assist in strategy coordination, including tasks like organizing meetings and preparing reports.

Location: This is a global role and can be based in any country where Tearfund is registered and legally able to employ staff.

Purpose of the job 

The PMO Manager is responsible for designing and managing the framework within which projects are created and managed to support strategic decision making and enable successful delivery of programmes and projects.  They will lead on management of UK Youth’s programmes by monitoring and supporting effective processes, governance and good practice. Sitting in Charity Services, they will be a centre of excellence for project management and governance across all functions and the charity as a whole, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.

Experience 

• At least 3 years’ proven experience in successfully managing complex projects and delivering operational efficiencies.  

• Demonstrable experience of designing, implementing and monitoring project governance and PMO processes and controls.  

• Demonstrable experience in change management.  

• Experience resolving complex organisational challenges

• Experience building strong customer relations, promoting ideas and influencing decision makers
