We are seeking an experienced Director of Services to work as part of the Senior Management Team to provide strategic leadership and direction for the organisation and deputise for the CEO as required.
You will be responsible for the Charity’s client-facing, free at point of access, service delivery operations, including Information, Advice and Advocacy, and Hospital and Community support services.

About the role:
As Director of Services, you will be responsible for a wide range of services including Hospital services (A&E support, discharge and falls prevention), community services (activity groups, befriending, clubs), information and advice services (including benefits, housing, carers and statutory advocacy).
You will be responsible for ensuring all contracts and grants deliver to targets and provide services of the highest possible quality standards with demonstrable impact measures and feedback systems.
You will be a key member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), helping to develop and deliver on our new 5-year strategy, and contributing towards the annual business planning and budgeting processes.
Alongside our CEO you will be responsible for managing our external partnerships and third sector consortia. You will help to ensure we influence the priorities of our three local authorities and play a key role in the NHS transformation agenda across Northwest London. You will be based in a positive, creative and ambitious organisation, supported by a skilled SMT and responsible for a team of experienced managers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic leadership, direction and development of all Age UK HHB Services, contributing to organisational strategy and the annual business planning process.
- To work with the leadership team to identify and resource development opportunities, and to ensure our activity is providing optimum impact to improve the lives of older people in the borough
- Line Manage and develop Head of Services, Service Managers and other staff as appropriate, including setting targets and monitoring performance by ensuring that regular supervisions and appraisals are carried out, and tackling any performance issues in line with policies and procedures.
- Ensure Age UK HHB staff and volunteers are provided with up-to-date information sources, including any changes in national and local policy. To ensure services achieve external and internal quality frameworks and best practice guidance and to drive efficient working practices.
- Develop and oversee systems for feedback from service users to ensure the work, ethos and culture of Age UK HHB are informed by older people.
- To ensure quality data is captured for all service delivery allowing us to measure reach and impact for effective performance management, overseeing the provision of monitoring reports and dashboards for funders and board
- To work with the CEO, Managers and Trustees to develop annual budgets and to ensure services and projects are delivered to budget.
- Work closely with external partners and commissioning/funding agencies to ensure that Age UK HHB delivers the range of services that are required and/or contracted, on time and on budget.
About you:
To be successful in the role you will need to be able to operate effectively in challenging times and a constantly changing working environment. Experience in successful leadership, managing people, organisational change and improving business processes to support the charity’s strategy will be essential to this role.
Essential skills and experience include:
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent, or substantial successful senior management experience.
- Proven experience as an inspirational and successful leader of teams of staff and volunteers.
- Substantial experience in effective management of time, tasks and projects.
- Demonstrable experience of working within and/or influencing change in health and social care services.
- Experience in designing, planning, leading and mobilising new or remodelled services from concept through to business as usual.
- Knowledge of the voluntary sector and its ways of working with knowledge and understanding of user involvement and empowerment.
- Knowledge and understanding of local health and social care structures.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

About the Role
The Retail & E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for creating a seamless digital shopping experience and online customer journey that creates loyalty through best- in-class customer service and by providing a range of gifts that meet the needs of current and future members and supporters. They will effectively manage the performance of the retail operations, ensuring net profit is maximized in line with Mothers’ Union strategic objectives and values. This role will have a particular focus on developing new customer channels and will need a strong understanding of digital marketing and using data and insight to grow sales.

Working knowledge of managing a shopify retail business is essential along with experience in retail buying. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA England & Wales is able to mobilise the public, our federation, external organisations and young people to support our campaigns calling for political or social changes to improve the lives of young people across the country. This will include building relationships with local YMCAs and young people to ensure our work is informed and driven by those we represent, creating advocacy actions for them and the public to engage with and giving our young people a platform for their voices to be heard.
Scope and Limits of Authority:
The Campaigns Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no line management or formal budgetary responsibilities.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing? We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home.
The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. The role is pivotal in enabling people with chronic conditions to become more active, and for people who have temporarily lost mobility to regain the confidence to walk. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of this programme offer, the role will include training and supporting volunteers.
Role functions:
- Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
- Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role.
- Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise.
- Networking with relevant local bodies, NHS trusts, GP clinics, and social services to make them aware of the services we provide and to strengthen our presence in the field.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have at least one year’s experience of working with older people. A Level Three Fitness qualification is compulsory and a qualification in delivering exercise programmes for those with mobility issues would be advantageous.

Working closely with the rest of the A&W team and wider stakeholders, such as the Communications team, media and creative agencies, you'll help to optimise acquisition activity as we scale up investment in this area. Experience of DRTV is required, with an understanding of individual giving fundraising KPIs, including in relation to: DRTV, print, telemarketing, email and landing pages. You will be confident working with data with attention to detail and accuracy, from briefing data criteria for emails to using excel to review and share results. You will also be able to engage wider stakeholders in our acquisition testing plan development, providing clear regular communication to update on progress and learnings.

Main responsibilities
· To manage and oversee the day to day running of the family service, ensuring it is operating in a safe and effective manner.
· To monitor the quality-of-service delivery and ensure its high standards through regular and planned series of observations, audit and review.
· Lead on monitoring outcomes against the Supporting Families Programme framework criteria.
· To report on and collate monthly and quarterly data collection.
· To attend quarterly Commissioner meetings.
· Lead on the recruitment of Family Support Workers

Key Duties

· To oversee both Seniors, Family Support Workers and Family Coordinators ensuring effective service delivery and requirements set out as KPI’s are met and maintained.
· To identify and manage FSW’s sickness absence and performance management where applicable.
· Provide appropriate monthly supervision to both Family Team Seniors.
· Lead in the recruitment of family workers, development of job specifications, staff recruitment, staff induction programmes, appropriate supervision and support training for new staff and volunteers.
· Supervise Safety Net recording system and ensure staff are managing workload efficiently and achieving a high standard.
· Helping to ensure new funding streams are maintained by implementing delivery in practical and cost-efficient ways.
· Manage the process of allocating new cases to FSW’s and FCs, ensuring key performance indicators are met.
· Collate monthly performance data to evidence accurate information of family case participation and engagement.
· Contribute to the delivery of accurate quarterly reports using both qualitative and quantitative data reflecting client outcomes, information for senior management and decision making.
· Oversee monthly and quarterly data collection to support and evidence the contractual relationship and requirements are met.
· To attend and contribute to the quarterly contract review meetings with Commissioners.
· To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to both the specific client group and mental health.

This new role is focussed on accelerating the development of new services, by developing highly fundable propositions that are led by data and insight and grounded in the needs of our community.
Key to this role is proposition development; developing six new project ideas for services designed for the public and/or healthcare professionals, shaping them into fully developed and costed propositions for large-scale funders. You would be responsible for establishing and implementing a project pipeline, leading the development of new projects from ideation to implementation and ensuring that new service propositions are: led by data and insight, have a firm evidence base, are co-designed or co-produced with the charity’s community and are informed by existing expertise and knowledge across the organisation.
You will also commission and manage external agencies, consultants or freelancers when appropriate, ensuring cost effectiveness and efficiency and proactively build effective relationships and partnership with public, private and voluntary sectors to create a dynamic network for project development and delivery.
The successful candidate will have experience of leading service design and innovation, developing user journeys and will have a good understanding of co-design and co-production principles. Strong financial management skills are key, alongside a proven track record of using data and insight to inform innovative projects and service improvement. You must also have significant project management experience and a background in bringing together multi-functional teams and a range of stakeholders including people with lived experience to develop innovative solutions to problems.

Working with other members of the Senior Management Team, they will input into the management of the charity, as well as supporting grant, contract and tender submissions, operational management, governance, performance and contract monitoring and outcome reporting. Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Development and Delivery
- Manage the strategic and operational performance of services to agreed standards and targets with the Director of Support Services and CEO.
- Provide management oversight to service teams and ensure the activities they are leading on are delivered to set quality and outcomes, that they are safe and operate in positive environments, and adequately supervised, monitored, audited and reviewed.
- Provide management oversight to the charity’s portfolio of programmes and projects, including those within the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN)
- Ensure strategic & performance coverage of all areas of service delivery outlined in the services’ SLAs.
- Review service delivery and implement necessary changes, to ensure high quality service, reflecting best practice and clear impact for all service users.
- Conduct regular supervision with staff and service users about service effectiveness and maximise client involvement in service design and development.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Produce a monthly service review, linked to the charity’s strategy and business plan.
- Manage monitoring and evaluation framework and oversee CMS/CRM systems.
- Liaise with external support networks, such as universities and research organisations, to aid data management requirements.
Line Management
- Ensure staff are recruited, supervised and developed in accordance with Betknowmore UK systems and processes, in particular annual planning and review and objective setting.
- Support the provision of staff training to the highest standard and in accordance with Betknowmore quality assurance standards
- Provide HR support and on-going staff line management.
- Liaise with Clinical Supervisor to ensure staff have adequate support and resources.
- Contribute to the development of services knowledge and practice, by keeping up to date with current research and practice and ensuring that the clinical and support approach of the teams reflects such current information as appropriate.
Partnerships Building and Collaboration
- Develop our operational and strategic relationship with external partners and stakeholders to maximise the success and impact of Betknowmore UK services.
- Co-ordinate Betknowmore UK contribution to service-related networks ensuring attendance at relevant operational and strategic meetings and provide feedback and sharing of information.
- Represent the organisation at events, webinars and other meetings to inform service development and promote best practice in service delivery.
Financial Management
- Oversee budgets and expenditure related to the services and help meet targets.
- Provide oversight to petty cash and day to day expenses.
- Assist with other fundraising associated with service development as agreed with Senior Management Team.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, clients and other beneficiaries is intact.
- Oversee Betknowmore UK premises and risk assess external sites, ensuring all working environments work correctly to policies and procedures.

The Programme Development Manager will provide high quality project information to both internal and external stakeholders, extracting and quality assuring project data relevant for reporting, and making sure all projects are compliant with donor requirements. Responsibilities & Main Duties:
Financial Management

- Day to day responsibility includes leading month end processes including reviewing and posting journals, purchase ledger, sales ledger, adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations to make sure month end reports are delivered within agreed timelines.
