We are proud to be partnering with an environmental focused grant giving and programmes focused charity to find an Interim Programme Funding Manager. The duration of this role is expected to be for 3-6 months with scope to become permanent. Fully remote and UK based.

The Programme Funding Manager will provide cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This will include collaborating with multiple teams internationally, including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.

The role will also be responsible for the budget management of all programmatic activities, working with Programmes colleagues, Advisory Board representatives, donor relationship managers, Finance staff and others to ensure funds are spent appropriately in line with project plans and donor obligations.

You will design and implement systematic and operational improvements to ensure high standards of donor compliance and budget and funding management across the organisation, in partnership with the global Operations, Grants Management, Programmes, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships / Development teams.

You will ensure that funded activities are managed responsibly in order to align with donor requirements; maintain a good understanding of donor budgets and contractual obligations and coordinate with Philanthropic Partnerships colleagues to ensure compliance. You will also provide timely, accurate information on funded activities to support the completion of high-quality donor proposals and reports as required.

This role will also require programme support and you will project manage specific donor-funded activities where the charity holds responsibility for implementation, especially in relation to outsourced consultancy work where the supplier contract is held. This includes working closely with Programmes and Philanthropic Partnerships teams to define roles and responsibilities and implementation timeframes; monitoring progress; and identifying and resolving potential challenges with implementation.

This role is fully remote although will require quarterly visits to London for team get togethers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Coordination and Project Delivery

• ​To work closely with the Director of Strategy and Programmes to coordinate and support the delivery of all our programmes to achieve the outputs and outcomes agreed with our funders. 
• To support with event management both online and face to face including providing technical support to participants on platforms for online training, including driving all courses hosted on Zoom, and providing excellent customer service to all engaging with our work.
• To support evaluations through providing and analysing data to use in reporting to funders and stakeholders. 
• To lead on programme administration and funder updates, including tracking key data on platforms including Arts Council Annual Survey, Julie’s Bicycle, Illuminate and Salesforce. 
• To support with the administration of programme activity by attending and writing minutes for key meetings, drawing up programme contracts, aiding with diary management, filing, liaising with key personnel, and conducting phone or zoom conversations as needed. 
• To support with the financial administration of our programmes through invoicing and managing participant expenses. 
• To take part in training and attending any networking events as required, including potential out-of-hours events such as our 3-day residentials, to represent Cause4 externally when required.
• To contribute to Cause4’s overall business development when required, and being pro-active in terms of personal development, working alongside the line-manager to build key objectives for growth within Cause4.

Marketing and Communications

• To oversee and manage the day-to-day communications of our programmes, including managing our dedicated programme inboxes, liaising with participants, trainers and partners as needed. 
• To set-up and publicise key events, projects and training opportunities on all programme websites and relevant platforms, including Eventbrite. 
• To support the Programmes team to achieve public-facing training sales targets for our programmes through implementation of the marketing plan.
• To support with communications and marketing by curating social media content (SmarterQueue), programme newsletters (Mailchimp), graphics (Canva), and blogs. 
• To support updating the website on a regular basis with support from the web designer and to be a coordinating lead and contributor in writing for key publications such as the digital Now, New and Next publication. 
• To research and develop our audiences and networks, in line with our priority areas, regularly updating our databased to ensure key contacts are in place. 
• To lead on the analytics of our marketing data, collating vital information from SmarterQueue, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Analytics. 

This is a remote (home) working role, with opportunities to meet with the Cause4 team at regular events throughout the year in London, Cambridge, and other locations. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

To deliver the role, we’d expect you to have the following skills and experience:

• Some existing project management experience in the arts, heritage or culture sectors, or an equivalent role where your skills can be transferred to the above responsibilities. 
• Demonstrable commitment to Cause4’s values.

• A thorough approach to research and attention to detail and exceptional writing skills with the ability to write in different forms and styles.

In this exciting and varied role, you will be responsible for developing and driving forward the corporate new business strategy for The Trust’s National Corporate fundraising approach to the Technology, Telecomms and Media sector alongside Pharmaceutical, Defence and related STEM sectors. You will be responsible for developing rich and exciting partnerships to both fund our programmes and deliver vital unrestricted income, collaborating with colleagues across employee engagement, commercial and marketing teams.

With an income target of £1m+, you will be an inspiring leader of a team of 2 staff and be able to harness the support from Senior Volunteer Boards who open up their networks.  Purpose of post:

The Major Gifts Officer will support the Head of Major Gifts in further developing the charity’s major donor portfolio, stewarding donors, and soliciting gifts. They will be responsible for understanding the motivations and interests of our donors and helping them to feel fantastic about the impact of their generosity. At its heart, this role is about connecting our donors with hospitals and fostering a deeper relationship and partnership with our charity.

Joining a small but established team, you will bring your drive and innovation to find new opportunities for donors to make an impact for patients and staff across our hospitals. A skilled communicator with exceptional writing skills, your can-do attitude and creative flair will thrive in translating complex medical projects into compelling stories and propositions.

Key responsibilities

- Identify, research and cultivate relationships with new and existing donors. Ensure our supporters receive regular relevant and compelling proposals which will inspire ongoing support and grow income

- Develop an excellent understanding of our donor pipeline. Identifying where individuals have shared interest areas and seek opportunities to maximise the reach of all our communications

- Where appropriate, identify and manage relationships with individual supporters to generate major donor and mid-level income and maximise fundraising opportunities. This may include face to face meetings, email communications and phone calls. This will also include supporting stewardship events within our hospitals.

- Work closely with the Charity Individual Giving Manager utilising the latest technology and techniques to ensure every supporter has a consistent and meaningful journey with our charity, as they progress from individual giving to mid-level giving and beyond 

- Hold a close working relationship with the Charity Programme team and relevant hospital staff to identify projects early and plan solicitation and impact reporting throughout the year

- Support the stewardship of potential legacy donors where major donor-type treatment is appropriate  

- Maintain meticulous records of all major gifts activity on the CRM system and working with the Charity Database & Insight Officer to extract data in a way which helps guide the major donor programme

- Comply with all relevant fundraising regulation including the Code of Fundraising Practice and GDPR

- Constantly scan the environment and liaise with peers in the sector to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience for our donors and are aware of the best possible ways to engage them

Tenebrae is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles, renowned for its core values of passion and precision. Since the choir began in 2001, we have aimed to move and inspire audiences all over the world through dramatic programming and immersive experiences. 

The choir performs around 60 concerts each year across the UK, Europe, the US and further afield, including at some of the world’s most prestigious concert venues and festivals. Alongside its busy concert and recording schedule, the ensemble delivers a rapidly growing Learning & Connection programme, working with hundreds of children, young people and amateur singers across schools and other community settings. In the past 5 years Tenebrae’s programme of activities has grown considerably, but in order to maintain this we now need to grow all areas of our fundraising. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to make a transformational difference to Tenebrae’s artistic scope and financial sustainability as we approach our 25th anniversary in the 2026-27 season.

The Development Manager will be responsible for:

• Working with the CEO to refresh and implement our 3-year fundraising strategy;

Location 

After an initial period of office-based training, we are happy to consider flexible and remote working in order to facilitate other commitments such as caring responsibilities, although ideally you will be based in our office in Hammersmith for at least 2 days per week.

Hours

We are advertising this as a full-time position at 35 hours per week plus a one-hour lunch break each day. However, for the right candidate we would be happy to discuss the possibility of working part-time (4 days per week) or compressed hours. JOB DESCRIPTION  

INCOME GENERATION 

• Support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications on the implementation of the fundraising strategy, in line with changing landscape with a core focus on corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, company giving and general appeals; 

• Collaborate on ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions and develop and submit high quality and compelling funding proposals and tender documents to unlock funding;  

• Work with key stakeholders, including our Policy and Programme delivery teams to scope and develop exciting new project proposals; 

• Develop and grow the pipeline, identifying opportunities for funding from a range of sources, primarily corporate partners but also engaging, trusts & foundations and statutory sources. 

• Maintain an effective database of contacts and stakeholders. 

  PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT 

• Support the management of existing donor relationships through working closely with the Director of Programmes & Partnerships and Programme Management Teams across the organisation; 

• Ensure all funding and sponsorship terms and conditions are acknowledged, recorded and completed in a timely fashion; 

• Accurately maintain and update records and databases, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as any legal requirements; 

• Work with the Programmes Team to contribute to high-quality donor stewardship for existing and new partners, through timely communication, gift acknowledgement, and tailored stewardship plans. 

STRATEGIC SUPPORT

• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the UK fundraising scene in order to input into the development and evolution of the organisation's fundraising strategy. 

• Work collaboratively with the Fundraising & Partnerships Manager (Trusts & Foundations) to cover work, and ensure mutual learning and professional development 

• Provide relevant and timely information to the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications for the purposes of reporting to the board. 

• Work closely with other key functions and teams on cross-team and organisation-wide initiatives as relevant, e.g., on workplace culture, capacity building; 

• Manage the Fundraising team inbox, ensuring any queries and requests are responded to or escalated in a timely manner; 

• Represent the organisation externally as required; 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Stay abreast of donor trends, youth empowerment, and other topics relevant to the role and the organisation; 

• Adhere to The Diana Award’s safeguarding policies and procedures, escalating any issues arising to the Designated Safeguarding Leads.

• Experience working in corporate fundraising with a willingness to explore other income streams.

• Good knowledge of the third sector, in the UK and/or Europe/abroad; 

• Knowledge of budget and financial management, including monitoring and reporting on budgets;

We are seeking an experienced Director of Services to work as part of the Senior Management Team to provide strategic leadership and direction for the organisation and deputise for the CEO as required.

You will be responsible for the Charity’s client-facing, free at point of access, service delivery operations, including Information, Advice and Advocacy, and Hospital and Community support services.

As Director of Services, you will be responsible for a wide range of services including Hospital services (A&E support, discharge and falls prevention), community services (activity groups, befriending, clubs), information and advice services (including benefits, housing, carers and statutory advocacy).

You will be responsible for ensuring all contracts and grants deliver to targets and provide services of the highest possible quality standards with demonstrable impact measures and feedback systems.

You will be a key member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), helping to develop and deliver on our new 5-year strategy, and contributing towards the annual business planning and budgeting processes.

Alongside our CEO you will be responsible for managing our external partnerships and third sector consortia. You will help to ensure we influence the priorities of our three local authorities and play a key role in the NHS transformation agenda across Northwest London. You will be based in a positive, creative and ambitious organisation, supported by a skilled SMT and responsible for a team of experienced managers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide strategic leadership, direction and development of all Age UK HHB Services, contributing to organisational strategy and the annual business planning process.
• To work with the leadership team to identify and resource development opportunities, and to ensure our activity is providing optimum impact to improve the lives of older people in the borough
• Line Manage and develop Head of Services, Service Managers and other staff as appropriate, including setting targets and monitoring performance by ensuring that regular supervisions and appraisals are carried out, and tackling any performance issues in line with policies and procedures.
• Ensure Age UK HHB staff and volunteers are provided with up-to-date information sources, including any changes in national and local policy. To ensure services achieve external and internal quality frameworks and best practice guidance and to drive efficient working practices.
• Develop and oversee systems for feedback from service users to ensure the work, ethos and culture of Age UK HHB are informed by older people.
• To ensure quality data is captured for all service delivery allowing us to measure reach and impact for effective performance management, overseeing the provision of monitoring reports and dashboards for funders and board
• To work with the CEO, Managers and Trustees to develop annual budgets and to ensure services and projects are delivered to budget.
• Work closely with external partners and commissioning/funding agencies to ensure that Age UK HHB delivers the range of services that are required and/or contracted, on time and on budget.

To be successful in the role you will need to be able to operate effectively in challenging times and a constantly changing working environment. Experience in successful leadership, managing people, organisational change and improving business processes to support the charity’s strategy will be essential to this role.

Essential skills and experience include:

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent, or substantial successful senior management experience.
• Proven experience as an inspirational and successful leader of teams of staff and volunteers.
• Substantial experience in effective management of time, tasks and projects.
• Demonstrable experience of working within and/or influencing change in health and social care services.
• Experience in designing, planning, leading and mobilising new or remodelled services from concept through to business as usual.
• Knowledge of the voluntary sector and its ways of working with knowledge and understanding of user involvement and empowerment.
• Knowledge and understanding of local health and social care structures.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

Job Context

YMCA England & Wales is the national body of the YMCA in England & Wales, supporting, developing and representing just over 100 local YMCA’s, ranging from small community based organisations to nationally relevant specialists.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure that YMCA England & Wales is able to mobilise the public, our federation, external organisations and young people to support our campaigns calling for political or social changes to improve the lives of young people across the country. This will include building relationships with local YMCAs and young people to ensure our work is informed and driven by those we represent, creating advocacy actions for them and the public to engage with and giving our young people a platform for their voices to be heard.

Scope and Limits of Authority:

The Campaigns Officer will report into the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager. The post will have no line management or formal budgetary responsibilities.

The post holder must operate at all times in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of YMCA England & Wales and act in accordance with the values and ethos of the organisation as outlined in the Code of Conduct.  In addition all employees must adhere to the performance management processes and systems approved by the Board of Trustees.

The post holder will support the Safeguarding, health and well-being and safety of staff, volunteers and supporters we work with, some of whom may be classed as vulnerable people or adults at risk. In the event of a risk becoming apparent or if concerns arise about a vulnerable person’s welfare, to immediately report these concerns in line with the appropriate policy and procedure.

The responsibilities of this role will normally include all duties described in this Job Description and any additional or different duties, which the Employer may require from time to time.

Areas of responsibility

● Contribute to the development of YMCA England & Wales’ national campaigns strategies.

● Project manage and deliver the public mobilisation elements of our campaigns and influencing strategies.

● Create online actions to support the campaign strategy on Engaging Networks, our advocacy software, from petitions to emails to MP.

● Lead the content and development of our online campaigns community, ensuring that they are active and engaged on the issues we are working on.

● Create and develop campaign materials such as videos, images and toolkits - including the recruitment, curation and stewardship of our case studies.

● Manage the production process of campaign materials from copywriting and design to printing and delivery.

● Engage with local YMCAs to ensure that they are active in supporting our campaigns.

● Develop materials, training and deliver one-to-one support to local YMCAs to engage in our campaigns.

● Manage the recruitment and onboarding of our YMCA Youth Ambassadors.

● Plan, deliver and evaluate a programme of training and activity throughout the year for Youth Ambassadors, including an annual residential.

● Ensure the voice of young people is central to our campaigns.

● Work collaboratively across the organisation with other teams to ensure our campaigns are fully integrated.

● Ensure our data is kept safe and secure and we are following GDPR guidelines.

● Work collaboratively and proactively with all members of the PCI team and wider organisation to develop excellent professional relationships.

About the Role

The Retail & E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for creating a seamless digital shopping experience and online customer journey that creates loyalty through best- in-class customer service and by providing a range of gifts that meet the needs of current and future members and supporters. They will effectively manage the performance of the retail operations, ensuring net profit is maximized in line with Mothers’ Union strategic objectives and values. This role will have a particular focus on developing new customer channels and will need a strong understanding of digital marketing and using data and insight to grow sales.

About you

You are an experienced retail professional with a proven track record of delivering growth of retail sales across multiple channels. Working knowledge of managing a shopify retail business is essential along with experience in retail buying. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing? We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home. 

The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. The role is pivotal in enabling people with chronic conditions to become more active, and for people who have temporarily lost mobility to regain the confidence to walk. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of this programme offer, the role will include training and supporting volunteers. 

Role functions: 

• Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
• Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role. 
• Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise. 
• Networking with relevant local bodies, NHS trusts, GP clinics, and social services to make them aware of the services we provide and to strengthen our presence in the field. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have at least one year’s experience of working with older people. A Level Three Fitness qualification is compulsory and a qualification in delivering exercise programmes for those with mobility issues would be advantageous.
