Job Summary 

The Youth Development Worker (YDW) is a crucial and exciting role that aims to support youth mission and ministry in churches across the Stepney episcopal area, with an immediate focus on supporting around 22 churches from both evangelical and Anglo-Catholic traditions involved in our five new Youth Minster initiatives across Hackney and Islington deaneries. 

Job responsibilities 

• Work intensively with parishes to develop their offer using the parish development pathway. With immediate focus on supporting around 22 churches involved in our five new Youth Minsters 

• Leads and support Youth Minster initiatives across Hackney and Islington deaneries, including working to achieve missional impact and financial sustainability by 2030 

• Lead implementation of Diocese Growing Younger Strategy in The Stepney Area. 

• Oversight of the youth budget in partnership with the Programme Manager (shared oversight) 

• To develop partnerships with Tower Hamlets youth projects

• Contribute to a positive safeguarding and racial justice culture 

• Supporting the coordination of Area-wide events for young people in partnership with Minsters.

• Connect with the Area staff team and lead in supporting them in culture change to show Growing Younger as priority – reporting on progress of youth projects in Stepney 

• Develop, facilitate and/or provide Area level training for volunteers. 

• Develop and improve existing connections with both Church and Non-Church schools, especially with School Chaplains, to ensure that these links are understood and utilized by local churches.

About the Role

The Interim Financial Controller sits within a Finance Team, which provides the full range of financial support, reporting and services across Conciliation Resources to support the efficient and effective running of the organisation and the delivery of its work.

Job Purpose 

The Financial Controller has responsibility for the maintenance of business processes and controls, expenditure and balance sheet transactions. Scope and Accountability

The post-holder works closely with others in the Finance Team and other staff across Conciliation Resources as well as our organisational partners. This is a key role in both delivering and developing our financial controls framework, processes and procedures and being able to respond to and resolve problems. The Interim Financial Controller will also have line management responsibilities.

• Experience in managing projects funded by the European Union, FCDO and other donors, including donor relationship management, programme development and narrative and budget reporting.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the first international climate NGO specialising in steel decarbonisation, you will work with other SteelWatch team members located across Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe. The Executive Assistant will be a vital team member, providing critical, executive administrative support to enable the Executive Director and SteelWatch Leadership team to operate effectively. The duties associated with the role will evolve significantly as SteelWatch evolves. The Executive Assistant reports to the Executive Director. 

Key Responsibilities

The role is focused on supporting the Executive Director and SteelWatch Leadership team on a number of tasks, not limited to:

• Manage diaries, schedule appointments, set up meetings, adapting to priorities. 

• Organise and book travel arrangements according to diary needs and internal policies.

• Arrange and prepare for meetings with external partners, allies, donors and industry meetings, handling logistics (timing, location, travel, virtual arrangements) 

• Draft supporting materials (e.g., presentations) and assist with minute-taking, ensuring team input.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Location: The position is remote, and the location should be in a time zone within two hours of Central European Time. The UK location is a benefit. Work environment: The work is mainly remote, although some face-to-face meetings are essential, within Europe.  Working hours are flexible. Team members are currently located in Japan, the UK, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, and the team will continue to grow internationally. There will be some early mornings or evenings to accommodate interactions across time zones, with the flexibility to adjust your weekly schedule accordingly. Travel will be required to collaborate with allies and meet the team in person.

Terms and salary: The role is expected to be long-term and managed via an Employer of Record. The initial contract will be for 12 months, if feasible, within local employment regulations. While we envision this as a full-time role, we are open to other options (minimum 60% unless a job share). An opportunity has arisen to provide support in our weekly groups for young people aged 13-19 who are experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. The groups are an informal, fun, confidential space where young people can meet and chat with other young people, take part in feel-good activities and receive helpful information and tools. There are two groups a week, one on Thursdays in Tunbridge Wells between 4.30pm-6pm and another in a venue in Tunbridge Wells or Tonbridge, details to be confirmed.  

We are looking for a Sessional Support Worker to assist with the delivery of the groups. The postholder will work closely with the Reachout Youth Coordinator to help plan and deliver the groups and provide support to group members. You will have experience of working with young people and an understanding of mental health conditions. You will have excellent communication and listening skills, be positive, warm and welcoming and able to deal confidently with challenging situations.

The role is for 5 hours per week. Most of your time will be spent at the groups in their 2 different locations, with some time being spent helping to plan activities, attend monthly supervision, and/or other relevant meetings outside of the groups.

As our Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will:

• Map evolving trends and legal threats for journalists, media freedom NGOs and independent media outlets and identify the most pressing legal gaps and needs

• Build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including expanding our network of expert NGOs and legal teams working in the media, journalism and media freedom space

• Strong understanding of international standards on press freedom and/or the media law/policy landscape. Understanding of the legal needs of journalists and media outlets in the global south or Central/Eastern Europe/FSU an advantage

Institutional grants have been a core part of Global Canopy’s income for many years, however, this role is a new one for the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Income and based within the Development team you will work closely with the Programmes Teams to identify new institutional funding opportunities, help determine the most appropriate piece of work to submit, coordinate applications and contract management including maintaining strong relationships and excellent standards of reporting.

This role will require you to work closely with a range of colleagues, including members of the Finance teams, different Programme teams and even representatives from Global Canopy’s partners in certain areas of work.This role is intended to provide consistency, efficiency and professionalism across Global Canopy’s institutional fundraising.The renewal of Global Canopy’s major grants will be a crucial focus in coming years, as will be the sourcing of new institutional opportunities.

As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind the creation and execution of industry-leading  corporate and high value marketing campaigns. Your mission is to inspire more organisations and high-value donors to engage with and support the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in its life changing, lifesaving work. 

Working in close collaboration with BHF’s high-value income teams (Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy), you’ll lead the development and implementation of our partnership and high-value marketing strategies, contributing to our fundraising and mission objectives.

You'll lead a small team and be responsible for the development and delivery of go-to-market initiatives, overseeing the execution of key campaigns with strategic partners and high-value donors, creating marketing collateral, and managing marketing activities in tandem with our supporters.

You’ll cultivate deep relationships with our strategic partners’ marketing teams and collaborate with them to design and deliver initiatives that propel our partnership goals.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have CIM/IDM or similar qualification, you have demonstrable end-to-end experience in developing integrated, multi-channel campaigns, including B2B and B2C. You'll have experience in setting objectives, tracking, and evaluating results and managing budgets. 

You'll also have significant experience in partnership, corporate, or B2B marketing, as well as experience targeting high-net-worth audiences. 

Additionally, you'll have experience of delivering marketing activity through a range of channels and creative formats including the production of TV, radio, outdoor, press and digital formats as well as direct marketing and mail pack production and scheduling Face-to-Face and Telemarketing channels.

With a strong understanding of managing brand campaigns and brand strategy, you’ll have proven project management ability, including working with agencies and a wide variety of teams and stakeholders, and will be a self-motivated, solutions-focused individual.

You’ll have strong influencing and negotiating skills with a sense of diplomacy and empathy and will be a flexible team player who shares knowledge and learning openly and strives to help others. With strong organisational skills, adept at time management and prioritising to meet multiple, competing deadlines, you’ll have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.

At Cruse Bereavement Support, we are looking for a Trust and Foundations Manager to lead our vitally important trusts and foundations income stream. This is a key role for us, and we are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser looking to take this work to the next level. You will line-manage a Trusts and Foundations Officer and be part of a wider Partnerships Team, which includes national corporate partnerships, external training and consultancy. You will lead on working with colleagues from across Cruse to develop innovative new approaches to funding asks from trusts and foundations. Your relationship fundraising approach will enhance our work with existing partners and win the support of new funders. Your collaborative approach to internal working relationships will allow you to produce high quality funding applications and reports to funders.

This role is a remote role, but you will be an active member of the Cruse family, in daily contact with many colleagues from all areas of Cruse for video calls, phone calls, email and instant messaging. The hours are 35 per week (but would consider 30+ hours over 5 days).

· A 12 year old sleeping through the night for the first time

· A 3 year old having his first laugh

· An 8 year old rolling over for the first time

Families have travelled from all over the country to enjoy the Pop Ups, some covering 6-hour journeys just for their afternoon of fun!

During COVID we quickly adapted our offer to include a Lending Library which continues to this day, offering nearly 300 items of specialist equipment, free of charge.

In 2023 we purchased a new site to develop into a permanent home which will open in summer 2026.  Redevelopment is underway, and so too is an £8 million campaign to support this extraordinary project.

Gympanzees is a growing team which currently consists of 16.  The fundraising team consists of 6 people.  This role is a crucial member of the fundraising team and will be delivering on a vital income stream that is both financially and strategically significant for the capital project.

Job description

As the Senior Fundraising Manager for Trusts and Statutory, you will play a pivotal role in securing vital income from across these funding streams, whilst leading a small team to maximise their own fundraising efforts from similar sources.

This position is ideal for someone with proven experience in researching and crafting successful grant applications from both traditional grants as well as local and national statutory source.  It will especially appeal to those with capital campaign experience but is not a pre-requisite.

You'll be tasked with distilling complex information into compelling narratives that effectively convey our mission and objectives while aligning with grant requirements. Excellent copywriting skills are essential, as you'll need to create engaging and informative content that tells our story authentically and passionately.

Your approach will be highly organised and methodical to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant briefs. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you'll collaborate closely with a high-level fundraising team to maximize funding opportunities and drive positive impact.  Additionally, you shall line manager the Trust and Foundations Manager.

Main Responsibilities - include but are not limited to.

1. Grant identification and Research: Conduct thorough research to identify

potential grant and statutory funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources aligned with Gympanzees' mission and projects.

2. Grant Proposal Development: Lead the development of compelling grant proposals, including conducting needs assessments, defining project objectives, outlining budgets, and articulating impact metrics.

3. Grant Application Process: Manage the end-to-end grant application process, including drafting, editing, and submitting grant proposals within deadlines, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.

4. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential funders, including government agencies, philanthropic organizations, and corporate partners, to enhance funding prospects and collaboration opportunities.

5. Budgeting and Financial Management: Collaborate with the finance team to develop project budgets, monitor spending against grants, and ensure accurate financial reporting to funders.

6. Grant Compliance: Ensure compliance with grant agreements, reporting requirements, and regulatory guidelines, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to fulfill reporting obligations.

7. Grant Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of grant-funded projects, collecting and analyzing data to assess outcomes and inform future funding strategies.

8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, finance staff, and other team members to align funding strategies with organizational priorities and project needs.

9. Knowledge Sharing: Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant funding and statutory funding opportunities relevant to Gympanzees' mission and share insights with the team.

10.  Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the organization's grant-seeking efforts and overall fundraising strategy.

11.  Management of Grants and Trust Officer and grants consultants that we are working with.

The Interim Deputy Executive Director’s responsibilities will include managing senior staff at Reprieve, including the Directors of Casework, Advocacy and Policy, and working with the Joint Executive Director to oversee Reprieve’s Fundraising and Finances, its Governance and Board relationships, and its HR and Operations functions.

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of leadership of a small to medium size human rights or similar charity, preferably with some international operations. They will have exceptionally strong management and people management skills, excellent judgment, proven ability to lead teams to achieve impact in their work, and an understanding of charity governance and finance issues.

Contract, location and salary

This is an interim, 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 2 days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. 

The salary is £80,000 per annum plus up to 5% employee matched pension contribution.
