Overview of the Regional Coordinator role and the team

The Regional Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Barnabas Aid by building and nurturing relationships with churches, Christian organisations, and individuals. The role aims to raise awareness, prayer, and financial support for the persecuted church, fostering a network of engaged supporters and expanding the organisation’s outreach.

Vacancy: Lay and Architect Members – Investigation Panel (IP)
Contract: Casual
Time commitment: up to 20 hours per month
Term of Engagement: Four year term, with the possibility of reappointment for a further four years
Remuneration: £50/hour for casework (Remote) and a rate of £250 per day for meeting attendance (London)

About Us:

ARB is an independent professional regulator, established by Parliament as a statutory body, through the Architects Act, in 1997. We are accountable to government.

The law gives us a number of core functions:

• To ensure only those who are suitably competent are allowed to practise as architects. We do this by approving the architecture qualifications required to join the Register of architects.
• We maintain a publicly available Register of architects so anyone using the services of an architect can be confident that they are suitably qualified and are fit to practise.
• We set the standards of conduct and practice the profession must meet and take action when any architect falls below the required standards of conduct or competence.
• We set requirements for and monitor the continuous professional development that architects must undertake, to provide assurance to the public about the continuing competence of the profession.
• We protect the legally restricted title ‘architect’.

We want a world in which the built environment inspires those who live and work in it, reflects the needs of society so that people are safe and can live well, and helps to tackle the fundamental challenges our planet faces.

The contribution that regulation can make to this overarching purpose may be small, but we recognise that architects and other professionals in the built environment can achieve their own goals, potential and outcomes only if we are delivering effective regulation.

The Investigation Panel (IP)

The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the is the statutory regulator of architects in the UK, under the terms of the Architects Act 1997. The role of the Investigations Panel (IP) is to investigate allegations of unacceptable professional conduct or serious professional incompetence against architects and decide whether there is a case to answer at the Professional Conduct Committee. Each IP has three members, one architect and two lay. The Investigation Panels make decisions at the conclusion of the investigation.

We are looking for candidates that have an interest in professional regulation, have worked in committee settings or working groups are able to work through complex and voluminous information and work as a team to reach outcomes. Architects must be registered with ARB.

The Stories Officer sits in the Marketing and Communications team and will focus on:

· Assist in managing storytelling requests from across RNID, providing vital support and crafting impactful and compelling narratives.

· You’ll be gathering and shaping powerful authentic stories that highlight the impact of RNID’s work, supporting RNID’s strategic goals.

· When you join us, you’ll dive straight into important campaigns like our Protect Your Hearing Campaign, helping to craft meaningful stories. You might find yourself out on location, capturing powerful stories firsthand from our amazing storytellers or coordinating a photo shoot featuring one of our celebrity supporters.

As Stories Officer, you will:

· Work closely with the Stories & Celebrity Manager, identify, interview, and write-up case study stories from people who are deaf, have hearing loss, or tinnitus to support RNID’s campaigns, media, and fundraising efforts.

· Manage and update our centralised database of case studies, celebrities, and influencers, ensuring all stories across the charity are recorded for effective stewardship. Maintain storyteller profiles, contact details, permissions, and consent forms while ensuring GDPR compliance in data collection and storage.

· Collaborate with PR, fundraising, digital, and campaigning teams to integrate storytelling into their work, identify their needs, and match case studies or celebrities to relevant projects.

· Support the development and delivery of storytelling content across multiple platforms, including social media, website, press, and marketing materials, ensuring content meets accessibility standards.

· Manage multiple internal and external storyteller requests.

We are looking for an individual with a passion for storytelling and a deep commitment to amplifying the voices of people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. You will have excellent writing skills, with experience in journalism, PR, or a similar field, and have a strong ability to craft compelling narratives that engage and inspire.

Your interviewing skills will be key, as you’ll need to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident sharing their stories. Sensitivity and empathy will be essential as you capture authentic, impactful stories. In addition, you’ll be an exceptional multitasker, able to manage multiple storytelling requests and competing priorities with ease. Your proactive and creative approach will drive you to consistently find new ways to tell powerful stories that align with the charity’s mission and strategic goals.

About the post
nia is recruiting for a Young Women and Girls Advocate as part of a pan-London project for minoritised young women and girls. The CouRAGEus project is a partnership between 12 leading organisations (WGN, Ashiana, IKWRO, London Black Women’s Project, Solace Women’s Aid, nia, Southall Black Sisters, Respond, Jewish Women’s Aid, Galop, Advance and Imkaan) in the VAWG sector established to provide advocacy, specialist mental health advocacy, counselling, VAWG awareness and well-being programs for minority young women and girls experiencing violence against women and girls, mental health and/or multiple disadvantages. 
The post is currently funded until March 2027. In the role of Young Women and Girls Advocate you will hold a caseload of minoritised young women and girls aged 14-24 years old who have been subjected to sexual violence. You will work from a trauma-informed feminist framework, recognising multiple and overlapping oppressions. You will support those whose choose to report through the criminal justice process. In addition, the role involves providing broader support to young women and girls to address the multiple impacts of VAWG. The advocate will work with the wider young women’s team to deliver group work and prevention activities.

About you
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Rape Crisis Service in a supportive feminist organisation. We’re looking for a highly organised and self-motivated woman who is passionate about ending violence against women. You’ll have a ‘can-do’ approach and demonstrable commitment to nia’s feminist approach to supporting women and girls. • Assess the digital proficiency of staff and create tailored training plans to bridge skill gaps

About the Role

As our Executive Assistant to the Global Director of Fundraising and the COO, you will play a crucial role in supporting our global leadership team. You will be responsible for leading on the perinatal mental health project across the region. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading on perinatal peer support across the region.
• Managing the volunteers

We're looking for a skilled and motivated fundraiser with a love for stories, a head for strategy, and a heart for community.

You'll need to bring:

• Fundraising experience, ideally across multiple income streams (ticking one or more boxes from trusts/foundations, individual giving, corporate partners).
• A knack for crafting a compelling case for support and proposals that pack a punch.
• The drive to take initiative and work independently, as well as collaborating and thriving alongside colleagues and volunteers.
• A genuine passion for heritage, culture or community, but you don't need to be a railway enthusiast (though they'll happily help to convert you!).

This is a role for a builder and creator, someone excited to take ownership of a fundraising strategy and have the confidence to deliver.

About this role:

This role supports the service across Bedford Borough. As a Team Leader for the Specialist Services team you will:

• Offer a consistent representative for the twice weekly MARAC
• Be a SPOC for the Front Door - giving advice and support around queries/ concerns about DA
• Carry a reduced caseload

You will need:

• A qualification as an IDVA or ISAC
• Experience of developing and maintaining partnerships and pathways within a multi-agency and legislative framework
