Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Every year we treat over 3,000 police officers. Located just outside Goring on Thames in our beautiful Flint House and set in 20 acres of ancient woodland, this role will play a crucial role in support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity.
Supporting the CFO in the day to day financial management of the Charity and working alongside the Finance Assistant this role combines robust financial management along with payroll operations, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the Charity’s payroll processes. This generalist role also includes overseeing the production of the monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, forecast and budgets, quarterly VAT returns, and other statutory returns, including co-ordinating the annual external audit. This role is central to ensuring the Charity’s financial and payroll systems operate seamlessly, maintaining compliance while delivering excellent service to stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities
Financial Management
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
- Ensure financial records comply with accepted policies and procedures, and all reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare financial management reports and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
- Contribute to the planning and production of annual statutory accounts, working closely with external auditors.
Compliance and Taxation
- Oversee statutory returns for VAT, Partial Exemption, and other compliance schemes, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and meeting all deadlines.
- Keep updated with changes in accounting and tax legislation affecting the charity sector, implementing necessary changes as required.
Budgeting and Strategic Analysis
- Manage and support budget and forecast activities, analysing financial operations, including revenue, expenditure trends, and financial commitments.
- Regularly report on key performance indicators and recommend strategies for efficient resource use and process improvement.
Payroll Management
- Prepare and run the monthly payroll process, ensuring deadlines are met, and pay, pensions, and statutory deductions (e.g., tax, NI) are accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Maintain and update SAGE Payroll systems, guaranteeing timely and correct payments to employees and external bodies such as HMRC.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries, offering excellent support to employees and stakeholders.
- Regularly review payroll processes to identify and implement improvements, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
System and Process Development
- Support the development and maintenance of finance systems, improving accounting controls and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
- Proactively review and enhance processes related to payroll, accounting systems, and internal controls.
Other Responsibilities
- Support the CFO in treasury functions and deputize for them as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Accountant with a strong background in payroll management.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and ability to develop robust financial models.
- Demonstrated experience in managing monthly payroll processes and handling confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency in preparing management accounts, financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
- Strong communication skills to present financial information and deliver training effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial and payroll systems
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Familiarity with SAGE Payroll and Sage Line 50 packages.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and governance within the charity sector.
- Previous experience with Direct Debit Schemes, Large Donor Programs, and Gift Aid.

River Church Ipswich is an HTB Network church plant in the town centre of Ipswich, which launched in September 2021 and has already grown quickly into a thriving resource church, with a congregation of more than 200, and three Sunday services.

Key Responsibilities
Website
- Responsibility for maintenance and development of Resurgo’s website, delivering engaging content with a focus on dynamic visuals and videos, tailored to our different website audiences.
- Optimise user journeys across all Resurgo’s digital channels.
Partnership liaison and relationship management
- Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective.
- Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.
Oversight of Spear Programme Spear
Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions and a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there.
- As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work.
- Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education
Line management and training
- Manage the Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
- Be line managed by River Church staff, locally, and by Resurgo, nationally, to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPI.
Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry
- You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members, and help the Assistant coaches to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
- Ensuring the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church
- Work with the Head of Operations and Fundraising Assistant to prepare successful grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
- Attend and participate in Staff Meeting, Tuesday morning Prayer Meeting, and Sunday Services (serving on a team at one or more Sunday service) • Regularly pray for Spear, River Church, and in particular our Social Transformation work.
- Attending other River Church events and services, occasionally speaking and/or contributing as required • Ad hoc tasks and other project work.
Site management
- Liaise with relevant staff locally on site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.

About the role
Sea Cadets deliver life changing opportunities to young people through the challenge and adventure of getting out on the water. The Assistant Head of Inshore Boating is instrumental in facilitating these experiences as part of a team working to support volunteers and colleagues across the UK, with a focus on our five activities of dinghy sailing, paddlesport, powerboating, rowing and windsurfing. The post will require experience of dealing with people of all ages/backgrounds, in the management of delivering activities, equipment/facilities and supporting the development of instructors.
We are looking for a passionate practitioner, with a background in delivering both on and off the water, and in-depth experience of operating procedures and governing documentation. Experience of working with young people is essential.
Responsibilities
· Lead on developing our boating/watersports framework
· Support volunteer led activity across the UK in delivering life affirming on the water experiences to young people.
· Support the Head of Inshore in the development and delivery of assurance and safety of Boating.
· Day to day Line management of the office team
· Collaborate with the wider Inshore team to support central training, particularly Instructor Training.
Requirements
· A qualified watersports practitioner at or approaching Trainer/Tutor level
· An in depth understanding of operating procedures and documentation

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the South East Rivers Trust's Finance and Operations Team. We are a small dynamic team, sitting at the heart of the organisation. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager and will provide support in administering all financial controls and processing for the organisation. The successful applicant will come from a financial background with a strong understanding of financial principles, an accounting qualification and proficiency in Excel. They will have experience in bookkeeping, reconciling accounts as well as dealing with banking, grant applications and expenses.
The role would suit an individual, who is approachable and organised, with excellent attention to detail, able to work on their own or as part of a team. The role involves liaising and following up with all teams to ensure the data provided is accurate and timely, to support grant applications, payments and audit requirements.
To be successful, they will need to be able to multitask, be proactive and have excellent communication skills, following up and advising staff across all teams. They will need to have a positive attitude, and willingness to assist the whole team with other administrative tasks as and when required. This role is predominantly working from home, with at least one day per week working in the office in Leatherhead.
This is a part time position (0.6 FTE) to include Monday and Thursday. There may be a requirement to pick up additional hours to support with busy periods.

About the role
We are looking for a Driver and Admin Assistant who will be responsible for transporting office staff, visiting Sightsavers personnel, and consultants as needed. The Driver will also ensure the maintenance and safety of all office vehicles. Additionally, the Driver will perform clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the office.
Responsibilities
- Drive safely within the laws of (Country) at all times and with respect for other road users and pedestrians.
- Pick up Sightsavers staff to and from the airport where this service is not outsourced.
- Check fuel, oil, and water daily and fill up as necessary.
- Keep vehicles in a clean condition inside and outside.
- Undertake routine maintenance of vehicles, including simple repairs.
- Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and advise the Finance & Administrative Assistant when servicing is required and/or when defects/problems arise.
- Make sure all vehicles have reflectors, fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, etc. First aid boxes for the vehicles must be checked regularly to ensure that items used are promptly replenished.
- Keep a maintenance record of vehicles
- Maintain liaison with officials of immigration and embassies for staff entry visas and renewal of passports and work permits.
- Assist in picking up invoices for procuring logistics.
- Perform other duties as required.

The Driver and Admin Assistant will be a responsible and experienced driver with a valid driving licence and a proven track record of driving safely within the laws of Liberia. The Driver and Admin Assistant will be reliable, respectful of other road users and pedestrians, and committed to supporting the efficient operation of the office through their driving and clerical duties.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the tight knit Finance team, this role would be best suited to someone at the beginning of their Finance career. We are open to candidates who are AAT qualified, or working towards qualifications in ACCA/ACA.
Central Services ensures the company operates smoothly and assists in working towards Enables strategic direction. Supporting the various services that make up Enable, Central Services consists of small and high output teams including Human Resources, Marcomms, Operations and Finance. Together, these teams make up the foundation of our business, driving our mission and fostering growth and development.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable and receivables: controls and processes
- Processing purchase invoices: entering and coding invoices (including VAT) in Xero managing the approval workflow (by cost centre budget holders) as required
- Setting up weekly payment runs, expense pay runs and individual payments as required
- Maintaining the aged purchase ledger ensuring invoices are accounted for on receipt and tracked through to payment
- Supplier set-up: ensure appropriate supplier information is obtained
- Raising sales and recharge invoices on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Bank reconciliation process
- Posting cash journals to record payments/receipts from bank statements into the ledger
- Processing and posting payroll journal
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and other standard month end processes
- Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and audit process
- Assisting with general finance-related inquiries and correspondence received via the generic finance email inbox.
Skills and Experience:

As Fundraising Assistant, you will report to, and work closely with, the Grants and Philanthropy Manager, under the overall leadership of the Director of Development and Partnerships. You will be joining the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Fundraising team – a supportive, innovative and welcoming team, responsible for Individual Giving, Major Donors, Grants and Trusts, Legacies, Community Fundraising as well as Corporate Supporters. Working closely with other fundraising officers, you will make a direct contribution to the work of the team through supporting the Fundraising Officers in delivering supporter stewardship events, co-ordinating collection boxes, online giving schemes and small-scale community giving.
You will be responsible for drafting and co-ordinating communications acknowledging supporter donations and Donations in Memory.
Being at the front-line of communication, you will maintain a positive, pleasant and 'can-do' attitude in dealings with all those inside and outside the organisation. The role is 5 days (35 hours) per week, however part-time hours or a variation to this working pattern will be considered for the right candidate.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in the brand new role of Governance and Executive Officer.
You will provide proactive and efficient secretariat and administrative support to the Executive and Non-Executive Teams, working closely with the Leadership Team to support the fulfilment of their day-to-day tasks and strategic objectives.
The role includes supporting and organising meetings and reports, and minuting of executive meetings. In addition to general PA and administrative duties, you will provide a cohesive secretariat function to support the smooth and efficient operation of the Mind THNR Board and its sub-committees.
You will work closely with the Leadership Team to set agendas, monitor action logs, and provide a high level of support to the Board. You will share collective responsibility for supporting the delivery of business objectives, through active engagement and collaboration with colleagues at all levels in the organisation
This role is flexible in terms of days and hours, although you need to attend Board meetings in person, once a quarter in the evening and committee meetings, which are also in the evening, but on line, so three evening meetings a quarter. We are based in a beautiful office in Tower Hamlets, with lots of outside space and a café, so ideally you would be present in the office two or three days a week ( if full time).
