About this job:
As Systems Accountant, you’ll:
- lead on the development and enhancement of Unit 4 ERPx, functioning as system administration and SUPER-user,
- work closely with various internal stakeholders (particularly the IT team) to ensure integration between existing systems and Unit 4 ERPx, building strong relationships with leaders to ensure the system meets requirements,
- be the main point of contact with the system supplier, responsible for ensuring both the smooth-running of the system and continuous improvement,
- be a problem solver, proactively identifying system gaps and working to resolve them in the most efficient way,
- build reports based on business requirements, ensuring decision-makers have financial reporting that provides meaningful insights and recommendations.
About you:
To excel in this role, you'll need extensive hands-on experience with the Unit 4 ERPx system, with a thorough understanding of its demands, capabilities, risks, and opportunities. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll be cultivating relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, taking a diplomatic and empathetic approach. Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial accounting system processes and management are also crucial. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.
- Be aware of and follow plans, risk assessments and record keeping pertaining to individual pupils, including care plans, health care plans, feeding plans, moving and handling and behaviour management plans, actively engaging in relevant training and competencies offered to ensure that you are able to support in keeping all pupils in the class safe.
- Ensure safe transport for all pupils in the class for off site visits.
STL 4 – Contribute to Positive Relationships
- Interact with and respond positively and professionally, to pupils and adults, including colleagues, other professionals and parents/ carers at all times.
- Work collaboratively as part of a class and wider School and organisational team.
- Actively support change where it is required to improve the teaching, learning and meeting of our pupils needs.
STL 5 – Provide Effective Support for your Colleagues
- Work effectively as a team member, being aware of and providing support to colleagues when needed.
- Embrace training and competencies to ensure that all staff in a class team are able to support each other.
- Complete all ‘Universal level training’.
STL 6 / STL 39 – Support Literacy and Numeracy Activities, Communication and Interaction Needs
- Support the delivery of appropriate communication, language and literacy as well as the learning targets related to cognition to individuals, small groups and whole classes of pupils, providing accurate support and feedback to the teacher and pupils.
STL 7 / STL 8 – Support and use Information Communication Technology (ICT) for Teaching and Learning
- Prepare commonly used ICT for use in lessons and be aware of and be able to use hardware and software commonly used in the school.

- Use moving and handling methods appropriate to the individual’s condition, your personal handling limits and the equipment available.
- Move and change individual’s positions in ways which minimise pain, discomfort and friction and maximise the individual’s independence, self-respect and dignity.
- Observe, record and immediately report any significant changes in the individual’s condition when you are moving them.
- Record details of methods of moving and handling which the individual finds acceptable according to legal and organisational requirements.
- Undertake therapeutic programmes that have been developed by physio and occupational therapists.
STL 14 – Support Individuals during Therapy Sessions
- Receive relevant training from therapists and then implement training and competencies throughout the pupils’ day.
- Be able to articulate the purpose of programmes and ensure their delivery in an integrated way.
- Work with individuals to identify the effectiveness of the therapy sessions on their health and social well-being.
- Check observations with appropriate people and against agreed outcomes.
- Identify any issues or problems in relation to the therapy sessions and work with individuals, key people and others to identify and agree changes to the therapy sessions.
- Record and report on therapy sessions within confidentiality agreements and according to legal and organisational requirements.
STL 16 – Provide Displays
- To produce and maintain displays in accordance with the school’s Display Policy.

- Take part in a staff induction programme, and pursue other training opportunities as agreed with the line manager.

The Magic Club (CIO) is a charity in Claremont, Blackpool, working with young people aged 7-16 to support them to thrive; increasing skills, accessing new opportunities, developing relationships and having loads of fun. We currently deliver youth club sessions four evenings each week in term time from our own venue, offering a diverse and high quality range of activities and project work. We also deliver detached youth work, Duke of Edinburgh and Arts Award programmes, AQAs, trips, residentials, holiday programmes, 1-2-1 and small group work, projects and youth volunteering, all served up with really tasty food. We are recruiting for a Senior Youth (Support) Worker to join our small, friendly team. You will support our team of youth support workers, volunteers and Peer Educators, helping them to use their knowledge and experience for the benefit of our members. CW+ - Philanthropy Manager

Over the last six years CW+ has grown its fundraising programme extensively and is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their team at a crucial stage in their Thirty at Thirty major appeal – its ambitious programme to raise £30m to celebrate the Trust’s 30th birthday. This will be the largest fundraising drive in the charity’s history and a successful, effective team will be central to its success.
The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations. The post-holder will initiate, foster and develop rich, long-term relationships with donors capable of giving transformational support to CW+ and develop and grow the current major giving pipeline and portfolio of major gifts from high net worth individuals.
As the portfolio is mixed in its development, it is important that this post holder can work with tenacity and resilience in an ever evolving landscape of relationships and opportunities, in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Director of Fundraising. The successful candidate must have a positive, pro-active, donor-centric approach to relationship fundraising and demonstrate proven success at securing major gift support from individuals and family trusts/foundations. Job Summary
To be the initial point of contact for customers accessing Huddersfield Mission services. To provide initial stage advice and assistance on a variety of needs. To work within the Advice Team to ensure the smooth running of Huddersfield Mission’s drop-in service, responding to requests for advice and support to customers and triaging them to the correct team member for support.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client’s needs is provided.
- To ensure the effective delivery of the Mission advice drop-in, telephone support service and appointments service
- Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service
- To make onward referrals and signpost where appropriate to other sources of help, such as statutory and non-statutory agencies
- To work with our Community Champion and other health partners to support customers underlying health needs particularly where these might be addressed with community-based intervention.
- To ensure impartiality and confidentiality when dealing with customers
- Regularly update electronic case records using our Lamplight – our CRM system to enable continuity of casework, monitoring and information retrieval.

Currently, c.80% of income is from trusts and foundations. Other sources including legal aid income and individual giving, and HNWIs have previously donated gifts of up to £250,000. JfKL’s work and outstanding impact spans diverse activities including criminal law, human rights monitoring, youth justice, anti-racism, and campaigning for systemic change, providing ample scope to further develop trust and foundation income and shape compelling cases for support for HNWI gifts.
As Director of Development and Co-Lead, you will:
- Develop and implement a fundraising strategy focused initially on maximising trust and foundation support and subsequently on building a HNWI fundraising programme
- Lead on creating a communication strategy
- Oversee the finance and operations team of two people
- Lead the long-term diversification of the funding portfolio

- Ability to contribute to organisational strategy development
- Creating and delivering successful high-value fundraising programmes
- Securing five- and six-figure income from trusts and HNWIs
- Financial and budget management and devising budgeted cases for support

Yeldall Manor is a Christian recovery centre for men wanting to overcome their addiction problems. We have created this new part-time position to provide consistent and professional HR support to the organisation, bringing together various roles currently undertaken by a few different staff members.
The role will suit someone who can work under their own initiative (after training in our charity practices), experienced in overseeing the employee journey from recruitment and retention to departure. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, and ensure that the charity is compliant with all relevant legislation. This will involve dealing with all employment matters, building robust policies & procedures, and implementation across the organisation. You would also be responsible for preparing the staff rota and all related administration. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. Please see the job description for full information about this varied post.
As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical and administrative tasks with management responsibilities. We anticipate that you'll be based in the office for at least two days out of the three days/24 hours worked per week. This is in a lovely rural setting near Twyford (Reading) and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are ultimately helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.
