About us
Who we are
At Warwick Schools Foundation, we believe that education changes the world. Our vision is of a society where access to education is means blind, driven by potential and irrespective of background.
We are a registered charity, and work to turn this vision into reality. We currently provide educational opportunities for 2,900 young people aged between 3 - 18 years across a family of five schools based in Warwickshire. Thanks to the philanthropic suport from our alumni and friends, we are able to offer some form of financial assistance to 1 in 5 of our current students, and we are proud that our school roll currently includes children from a broad and diverse cross-section of society including looked-after children in the care system, refugees and those facing multiple challenges.
We work closely with partners to spread learning beyond our walls and into the local community through educational outreach programmes offering saturday 'catch up' sessions for primary school children, science workshops, drama clubs, music, sporting and holiday activities. We are set to transform education opportunity over the next ten years, will you join us?
Our culture and values
The eponymous Warwick School is reputed to have been established by Ethelflaed, King Alfred the Great's daughter, in 914 in the foot of the castle gardens. Re-founded by King Henry VIII in 1545 to provide fre education to local boys, the school today upholds that core belief of widening access to education for all.
Our strength is rooted in our heritage and in our ability to adapt to meet society's continually chaning needs. The educational opportunities we offer today are vastly different to those we provided when we were founded. We are proud that our schools together have cumulatively delivered over 1,500 years of education to generation after generation of young people from all backgrounds. Young people who have gone on to become global entrepreneurs; who have championed medical advances or led companies to make groundbreaking discoveries in cancer treatment and immunology; who have become world-leaders in the fight against cybersecurity or renowned musicians, sporting heroes or household names from film or television.
With the help of our whole community, we look forward to continuing this legacy over the next 1,500 years.
