Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind have developed and delivered music-based interventions for children and young people in a number of schools and community settings throughout our 3 boroughs. Our music programme is designed to offer a different route into mental health support. We are looking to deliver and enhance this delivery and expand our music-based offer.
Job Summary
The role includes:
- Using your skills to develop music-based interventions for children and young people that improve their mental health
- Working with other practitioners to deliver ‘Mind on Music’ and other schools and community-based programmes that you may design whilst working at HFEH Mind
- Develop music-based sessions to deliver during school holidays (with colleagues)
- Create partnerships with local artists and industry professionals to provide exciting opportunities for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality music-based intervention to young people identified by schools signed up to the Mind on Music Programme
- Use trauma informed approaches (e.g., ARC, Tree of Life) to support children, young people and their parents and carers
- Deliver music-based interventions in community settings.
- Meet the KPIs and outcomes of our music-related funding
- Work with the Fundraising department to support ideas for new funding
- Develop the music-based provision offered by HFEH Mind
- Work alongside our young advisors to ensure new music-based ideas are co-produced.
- Understand and implement safeguarding procedures, and be familiar with safeguarding law, and how it applies to our work.
You will have/be:
- Musically talented and creative – ability to use a range of musical instruments and vocals to engage young people
- Experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of mental health
- A child-centred approach to work.
- A creative outlook on work, and ability to develop new ideas.

Music Masters is seeking an exceptional, dynamic Head of Development to grow fundraised income and help to supercharge our national impact. About the role
Music Services is the delivery arm of Nordoff & Robbins and encompasses the provision of music therapy and related activities including education, training and research.
The Music Services Administrator will be based on-site at our Newcastle centre 4 days per week and will work closely with the North East and Yorkshire and East Midlands Regional Managers as well as alongside other Music Services Administrators to ensure that the admin function is well run, organised, efficient and effective, and that clients, visitors and callers have a positive experience when they spend time with us. Many of our clients lead challenging lives and include vulnerable children and adults.

Specialist HR Recruiters for the East of England
About the Role
HMM singing groups are expanding, and we are seeking enthusiastic Singing Group Leaders to run our established and new singing sessions in East and North Herts. This is a rewarding freelance role focused on delivering engaging and uplifting singing sessions for people living with dementia and their carers. For the successful candidate/s full training on how our sessions should be delivered will be provided however, a strong confident singing voice and your own transport is essential to this role. As well as this a good repertoire of songs is helpful and the ability to learn songs quickly is very useful. Most of our sessions are acapella but some leaders do use guitars or piano to add contrast. Whilst we use music therapy techniques a qualification in this field is not essential.
Our sessions last approximately 90 minutes (plus 15 minutes required for setting up). There will be a small amount of administration required like managing member attendance and session fees. You will be supported by a team of volunteers.
In addition to leading regular singing groups, there are opportunities to take part in events and commissions throughout the year.
Valuable skills and attributes
- Strong and confident singing voice
- Ability to engage and inspire a group.
- Good knowledge of a variety of songs from accross the decades and ability to learn new ones quickly.
- Compassionate and patient approach, particularly with individuals living with dementia.

The Role

Your new role
Your new role will play an important part in identifying new business, connecting with existing customers, selling and promoting ABRSM's products and services. Commercial gain will result from relationship building, networking and direct sales to key accounts with schools and organisations across England.
This will include:
- Devising and implementing an annual business development plan for all ABRSM products and services relating specifically to curriculum music making.
- Devising and agreeing a quarterly activity plan, managing own diary and travel arrangements as efficiently as possible
- Acting as a first point of contact for Multi-Academy Trusts, providing information and promoting all ABRSM products and services
- Presenting on a range of topics relating to ABRSM products and services, in both on- and offline settings, including at INSET sessions and conferences
- Negotiating advantageous commercial deals in order to grow ABRSM market share
- Preparing weekly activity and monthly sales reports
- Providing timely, comprehensive customer feedback to relevant internal stakeholders
- Nurturing existing relationships with key accounts, identifying and initiating contact with new potential key accounts / customers
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in applying for this role, you will need to have a proven ability of being able to work autonomously with experience in sales or business development within the education sector or a keen interest in music and education. It is desirable that a successful applicant has experience in working closely with Multi-Academy Trusts or a strong knowledge of the Music Education Curriculum in England. This role will suit strongly for a former teacher or music lead/teacher who has a commercial understanding of business development. You will be JNC qualified (level 3 or above) and have a number of years of experience in this sector.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering accessible and diverse programs and services to engage and support young people (11-17). Your role will be fast-paced and varied as you will support Open Access youth sessions, lead structured groups, provide one-to-one mentoring and support with community engagement through a variety of initiatives.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future. It is an exciting time to join Alzheimer's Society and the Group Facilitator role will ensure people affected by dementia are able to meet others in a similar situation, access the support they need whilst enjoying meaningful and often exciting activities.
Our groups in Derby are an integral part of the community and to people living with Dementia, they have been a lifeline to many. The groups include stimulating memory cafes, music sessions, a walking group and carers group. The facilitator will attend these groups and support the volunteers in activities, organising speakers and bringing the group together. The successful candidate will be managing a supportive and experienced team of dedicated volunteers.
You will:
- Setup, promote, establish, organise and facilitate or deliver group(s) and ensure that all attending are supported to fully engage in the session.
- Recruit and guide volunteers that the volunteers have clarity about their roles and undertake appropriate training.
- Take views and feedback of service users, considering the individual needs of members of the group.
- Assist the service users to feel welcome and to understand the aims and benefit of the groups, and welcome all new attendees, providing information about the group.

We are looking for a compassionate, supportive person with a good understanding of dementia and how it impacts both the person with the diagnosis and the carer. Our role requires excellent communication skills to engage people in group activities, ensuring the person with dementia can fully participate as well as the carer.
