About the Role

• The London Hotel is a bespoke and time limited housing project, with 16 en-suite rooms, delivered by Westminster City Council and The Connection at St Martins. The accommodation is run from a hotel in Paddington, that has a staff office and a key work room.
• The aim of the service is to deliver a wrap-around support offer to entrenched rough sleepers, with multiple unmet needs, and who would otherwise struggle to access accommodation. The expectation put on those moving into the service is that they will be given a period of time to stabilise with health and wellbeing input and will then work towards a longer-term accommodation offer with us.
• The service provides food daily, as well as toiletries and offers other areas of support (aside from health and accommodation move on) around financial inclusion, substance dependency, obtaining ID and navigating criminal justice involvement.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to the residents of the hotel generally, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.
• You will work closely with external partners to develop support networks around the residents and will make referrals into the relevant services. Alongside this you might need to accompany people off-site to appointments and coordinate the network around them to meet their needs. You will also need to facilitate external partners accessing the site, so they can provide support to residents.  
• Your focus when working with people will be to support them to develop a move on plan, so they can move from the hotel, into longer term accommodation. This is alongside the day to day running of the service as well as facilitating the maintenance of a trauma informed environment and dynamically responding to people’s needs.
• This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2026

This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities. The post holder will lead a few projects and partnerships, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities and monitoring their progress.

Some examples of current projects are:

• Coordinating and supporting a group of six people with lived experience to co-design an immersive audio story and campaign to improve the health of people living in temporary accommodation in London. 

• Working with the City of London Corporation to embed meaningful co-production practices in their homelessness services; bringing people with experience of homelessness, frontline staff, and commissioners together to improve service design and delivery. 

Your main task will be to coordinate groups of people with lived experience of homelessness and health inequalities, alongside Groundswell peers and colleagues, services, local authorities, funders and policymakers.

We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills who can comfortably engage with different stakeholders. You will be well-organised, self-motivated, and confident facilitating groups to co-create positive change.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

We are looking for someone to join this team to increase our capacity to respond to new and existing members. As the first point of contact, our Engagement and Assessment service greets new and existing members to Crisis, and you will be working in in a fast and dynamic environment to provide a positive and welcoming experience.

No two days are the same, and you will be completing holistic assessments to identify areas of support, helping the person to prioritise their needs, and collaboratively creating a plan to achieve their goals. We aim to achieve stability in the persons situation and address the immediate concerns to then work towards long lasting and sustainable change. This is a key role as you will be part of a members journey out of homelessness.

About you

As part of the Engagement and Assessment team you have a real opportunity to demonstrate your empathy for people experiencing homelessness as our first point of contact.

Sometimes visitors are distressed by their situation and this role would suit someone who is both resilient and compassionate. You will work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment and an ability to communicate effectively and prioritise competing demands are essential.

You will have experience in homelessness and have demonstrable skills in understanding homelessness legislation and in advocating on behalf of people. We know that there are many factors that play a significant part in someone's homelessness including issues with health and wellbeing, financial security, social networks etc. Experience of offering support in these areas is essential.

You will have a track record of working with partner agencies, developing, and maintaining strong working relationships and collaborating to achieve the best outcomes for members.

You will be interested in evolving your skills and playing an active role as we continue to develop our Engagement and Assessment service further.

You may have experience in; We would welcome applications from people with direct experience of offering advice and guidance and having a good understanding of homelessness legislation is essential to the role. This role will lead on public affairs and campaigns, ensuring our policy positions and calls for change are communicated effectively to decision-makers and the public. The postholder will deliver strategic, accessible, high-impact campaigns, working with Transport for All members and allies to push for change. And they’ll build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Disabled People’s Organisations, government, local authorities, and the transport sector. 

You will help ensure that all our external influencing is accessible, values-driven, and rooted in the lived experiences of disabled people. 

We’re looking for someone with experience in political influencing, campaigning, or public affairs. You’ll need to be organised, creative, and confident representing our organisation in public-facing spaces. 

Your responsibilities

1. Campaigns (50% of time)

· Develop strategic campaign goals and deliver inclusive, impactful campaigns, rooted in lived experience, in collaboration with colleagues and Transport for All members

· Use a range of techniques, including e-campaigning, direct action, and events, to engage and mobilise members and alliies

· Lead on using an online campaigning tool (e.g. Action Network), supporting and growing our campaigning members, while ensuring that accessible, offline actions are given equal weighting

· Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to ensure campaign content is timely, accessible, and effective

· Build partnerships with other Disabled People’s Organisations and charities to amplify campaign efforts

· Monitor and report on campaign impact and key performance indicators (KPIs)

· Ensure campaigns reflect Transport for All’s values and centre disabled people’s lived experiences

2. Public Affairs (40% of time)

· Communicate Transport for All’s policy positions to MPs, civil servants, mayors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders

· Build and maintain relationships with political stakeholders, including elected officials and sector partners

· Represent Transport for All at external meetings, conferences, and events

· Monitor and respond to political developments, identifying timely opportunities for influence

· Collaborate with the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to ensure consistent and coordinated external messaging

3. Cross team working (10% of time)

· Work closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to align public affairs and campaign activity with our co-designed policy positions

· Contribute to internal reporting, including updates for funders and the board

· Take part in team planning and reflection processes to support learning and impact

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with supermarkets, volunteer recruitment channels and venues to enable this to happen. As Schools Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver weekly family meals at your allocated schools (2-3 evenings per week) as well as coordinate all aspects of the projects, from volunteer management to food surplus supply.​

Our after-school community meals will be spaces where families of school children can gather at the end of the school day to enjoy a free nutritious meal and be among the school community. Transparency International (UK) and the UK Anti-Corruption Coalition are looking for a Senior Coalition Communications Coordinator

You will work for the UK Anti-Corruption Coalition (UKACC) and its Illicit Finance Working Group (IFWG), collaborating with each of its member organisations. The purpose of this role is to coordinate communications activity amongst its member organisations. Communications will largely focus on the UK’s role as a hub for dirty money and range across all channels – from digital and social media to print, broadcast and events.

The Senior Coalition Communications Coordinator will report to the Coalition Policy Manager and perform this within the Transparency International UK advocacy team.

Main responsibilities

• Coordinate UK Anti-Corruption Coalition members to review, refresh, and develop the Coalition’s communications strategy.
• Coordinate joint UKACC media responses and coordinating relevant comms activities between comms professionals embedded within member organisations and relevant parliamentary groups.
• Manage the UK Anti-Corruption Coalition website and social media activities, ensuring the content is relevant to key audiences, compelling and up to date.
• Responsible for coordinating and producing shared messaging and content for the Coalition informed by audience insight and understanding.
• Responsible for working with members to design and deliver events that support the Coalition and member objectives.
• Perform other duties not listed, e.g. help the Coalition Policy Manager complete some tasks and support working groups, including drafting policy consultation submissions and advocacy documents, preparing meeting agendas, and other non-communication functions.

Who we are looking for

• University undergraduate level degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrable and sustained experience of communications and engagement with audiences.
• Professional experience of working with print, broadcast and digital media operations, alongside experience of working with digital and social media tools, and measuring the impact of related content.

Job description

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions.  You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital. 

Key Tasks

• Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients.  This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate. 
• Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
• Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
• Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
• Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).
• Coordinate and monitor the caseload of referrals allocated to team members to ensure a fair and manageable distribution of work.
• Rota planning to ensure staff flexibility and availability, enabling planned rosters that best suit both hospital and patient needs.
• Develop your team which includes; supervision, appraisal, planning of continued professional development opportunities and training needs.
• Conduct regular management audits to ensure a consistent way of working and identify development and training needs in the team or individual.
• Develop and deliver a flexible service that can respond to peaks and troughs in demand.
• Ensure the service is meeting key performance indicators, and identify any concerns e.g. demand for the service exceeding the levels in the contract and taking proactive action to address this.
• Monitor performance of the services against KPIs and produce reports to demonstrate performance.
• Deliver front-line services when needed, e.g. sickness or staff shortages.  This is by exception rather than you regularly doing support work.
• Manage the budget, sign-off expenses, and ensure the project is delivered to budget, liaising with the Finance Department as necessary.
• Support the directorate with generating funding e.g. being actively involved in consultation of possible projects, providing activity data, opportunity spotting, and/or supporting the production of tenders.
• On a rota basis, provide weekend on call cover for the services you manage, and other hospital settle services provided by AUKEL.

Administration

• Lead on contract reporting, this includes quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports as necessary.
• Carry out annual customer service surveys.
• Enable the impact of the service to be assessed and inform the improvement of other local services by keeping electronic records of all referrals and interventions, and producing reports on activity and outcomes, in accordance with KPIs.
• Meet and produce reports as required by the Head of Service.
• Ensure patient records are regularly updated through AUKEL database, and support staff to complete their administration via training etc.
• Work with the Communications team and the Head of Service, market and promote the service.
• Build and circulate a resource pack for the wider AUKEL team to generate referrals between services delivered by the charity.

Quality

• Be familiar with and implement AUKEL policies and procedures.
• Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission principles.

Climate change capacity building training Consultancy, Ghana

Background for project work

The Strengthening Civil Society Representation of Women with Disabilities in Ghana programme launched in May 2024, is a 2-year project funded by the European Union. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of two co-applicants in the areas of management, communication, fundraising, coordination, advocacy, gender, climate change, networking, and financial accountability.

Sightsavers will build the capacity of two co-applicants: Women with Disability Development and Advocacy Organisation (WODAO) and the Alliance for Better Advocacy and Knowledge (ABAK) Foundation. WODAO and the ABAK Foundation will subsequently cascade this capacity building to their members and partners, strengthening their ability to claim their rights and hold duty bearers accountable. The project also aims to establish collaborative partnerships with various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including those that focus on women's rights, disabilities, and environmental/climate issues.

What this project work will focus on

Sightsavers is inviting bids from environmental and climate change organizations to provide capacity-building training to the ABAK Foundation, WODAO, and their downstream partners (38 community-based organisations) in climate change and emergency preparedness.

Key responsibilities

The training should seek to achieve the following objectives

1. Help participants understand climate change, it’s causes, and its impact on communities and people especially persons with disabilities.
2. Equip participants with strategies to adapt to climate change related challenges.
3. Improve persons with disabilities awareness of available climate change adaptations and frameworks in Ghana and how they can benefit from them.
4. To strengthen persons with disabilities ability to advocate for inclusive climate change adaptation and policy making.
5. Provide guidance on creating inclusive disaster preparedness plan that consider the needs of persons with disabilities.
6. Teach the participants practical, disability friendly ways to contribute to environmental sustainability in daily life.
7. Equip participants with skills to mainstream climate adaptation into their programmes.
8. Help participants to understand key findings from the climate change analysis report that relate to their project districts and how they can respond to them.

Want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run community meals using surplus food.​

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Hastings Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living. 
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
