KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Support:
- Assist the Production Manager with mail specs, collating information, creating purchase orders, and related tasks.
- Support the Media Manager in arranging regional coverage for overseas staff in the UK.
- Provide support to the Head of Communications and other team members.
- General administrative duties.
Scheduling and Planning:
- Update and maintain the print and digital communications schedule with audience managers.
Content Creation:
- Contribute to digital communications, including website content and social media.
- Assist in creating monthly print and digital communication documents.
- Support design tasks like picture editing and layout.
- Create subtitles for digital content.
- Participate in creative idea sessions.
Updates and Research:
- Monitor staff blogs for potential stories and produce a weekly social media roundup.
- Monitor external websites for relevant stories and brief teams.
- Provide research support as needed.
Media Library Management:
- Upload and remove media assets, ensuring accurate metadata and compliance.
- Support staff with acquiring and transferring assets from overseas programs.
- Improve the media library.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Location: Hybrid role with two days at MAF UK, Folkestone, and one day at our Operations Centre, MAF International, Ashford. The remaining two days from home or you may work at the office.
Working Hours: Full-time role (36 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours occasionally outside normal business hours). Hours should be agreed with the line manager.
Annual Leave: 22 days per year plus 8 paid public holidays.
Pension Scheme: Non-contributory (10% of salary).
Probation: 3 months (with a one-month review).

As a Grant and Community Fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in our Fundraising team, helping us secure the funding necessary to sustain and enhance our vital services, primarily in the Bedfordshire area. Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 - 5/5.30, hybrid working with travel across our services, which are based around London, Brighton, Kent, Essex, Luton, Bedford, Liverpool, and Nottingham. What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, this can include in a fundraising and/or sales capacity which has direct transferrable skills.
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, advanced knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to travel to various services and locations for visits and events
- Ability to carry out research and lead on outreach and partnership building initiatives in various locations which can include locations of rural communities

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNDRAISING
- Be a point of contact for fundraising, ensuring a positive experience for funders and managing financial transactions to agreed fundraising policies and processes.
- Develop a regional Grant Programme, focusing on unrestricted income and feeding into fundraising management reporting.
- Identify, research, and communicate income and partnership opportunities, working proactively with colleagues across the Group to scope fundable initiatives that provide added value.
- Work alongside the team to develop high-quality grant funding applications, cases for support, and budgets. Complete the end-to-end process, ensuring all applications are thorough and competitive.
- Oversee grant reporting and invoicing, ensuring prompt fulfilment in line with all grant agreements and reporting requirements, liaising with relevant teams across the Group.
- Plan, implement and manage various campaigns and activities, which may include but are not limited to local events, national events, outreach, and fundraising opportunities.
PARTNERSHIP BUILDING
- Attend networking events to build engagement and partnerships with local and national organisations.
- Build a rolling calendar of charity of the year application deadlines. Provide excellent stewardship, using innovative ways to keep all parties engaged and informed of relevant news and updates by SIG.
- Support partners in fundraising endeavours and signposting to new and existing opportunities.

What we would like, but not essential:
- Previous experience in writing successful grant applications to Charitable Trusts and Foundations
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role
- Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline which can include Marketing, English, Business Management

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Events Fundraiser to support the delivery of our annual calendar of events which includes the London Marathon, Swim Serpentine, Action Challenges and our Choose your own Challenge programme.
The Events Fundraiser will be responsible for managing the portfolio of challenge events including the marketing; on the day delivery; first class stewardship and participant support from sign up to event completion and volunteer recruitment and management.
Due to the nature of our work, you will be required to attend some events and meetings throughout our catchment area which can be during weekends, early mornings or evenings.

You will have experience in planning and organising fundraising events (ideally challenge events), customer service and of working as part of a team in an office environment. Main Purpose of the Role
Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.
Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

Our journey began 10 years ago when our founder, Louis Weinstock, recognised an urgent need for accessible, early intervention support for grieving young people. Since then, Apart of Me has grown into a multi-award-winning charity, making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
Our first service, the therapeutic mobile game 'Apart of Me,' guides young people through grief, with over 125,000 users since its launch. It has won numerous awards, including NHS App of the Month, and has been proven to help users understand their feelings, and feel calmer and less alone.
THE ROLE
As our first Fundraising Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our fundraising strategy, with a particular emphasis on creativity and innovation. You’ll help us nurture our current donors and find creative ways to generate income from diverse revenue streams, so we can can continue to innovate as we develop our vital support to young people and grow our impact.
HOW CAN YOU HELP APART OF ME?
- Develop and regularly refresh our fundraising strategy and roadmap.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Major Donor Manager to join our team. You will hold responsibility for creating a major donor portfolio for TLC, securing support from High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Philanthropists.
This is TLC’s first Major Donor role. Over the past few years our organisation’s size and reach has grown considerably. We have experienced much success in winning new contracts and generating income from grants and Trusts – however, large and unrestricted donations remain an untapped potential resource for TLC. UK Acumen Academy exists to identify extraordinary leaders committed to solving problems of poverty in the United Kingdom, and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and community needed to deepen their impact. In 2020 we launched the UK Acumen Fellowship - a reflective, cohort based leadership programme. On completing the programme, Fellows join “The Foundry”, a diverse community working across sectors and geographies to build a world based on dignity. As part of their lifelong accompaniment, they gain access to capital, coaching, and on their journey to creating social change.
