In this role, you will provide one-to-one support and guidance to student leaders, assisting them in effectively managing their groups. You’ll handle the administration of grants, ensuring that student groups make the best use of available funding, and collaborate with internal teams, such as finance, to manage budgets and keep financial records up to date. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with risk management and health and safety protocols for all group activities, including events and trips. You’ll also develop resources such as toolkits and guides to help student leaders navigate group management and event planning. In addition, you’ll work closely with other departments to support a range of exciting events across the Union.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need proven experience in delivering excellent customer service and providing support in a busy, fast-paced environment. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with students and colleagues. Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and health and safety protocols is essential. You should be competent in using digital tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and expense management systems. The ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining high standards of service will also be key.
The salary for this role is between £26,640 - £29,820. The position is permanent and full-time (35 hours per week), with hybrid working options available. You will have the flexibility to work from home when duties allow. As our Charity Account Director within the Client Services team, you will play the lead role in driving business growth across the Charity sector in line with our 4-year plan that we launched at the start of this new financial year (April 2024).

Budget Management: Responsible for creating and monitoring annual, quarterly and monthly sales and GP margin budgets across the Charity sector by individual. Responsible for communicating and agreeing budgets across the team.
Reporting: Develop and update reporting tools that keep the team and management abreast of performance, including presentations within our fortnightly “Scrum” meetings. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to leadership.

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.
2. Cultivate and nurture relationships with funding/ grant-making organisations, both new and existing.
3. Develop compelling cases for support for designated projects or organisational areas, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly.

As Business Manager, you will oversee two important initiatives:
- Employability Project: Here, you will empower adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to find and maintain meaningful paid employment. You will line manage Hamelin’s Employability Advisor, providing essential support and guidance to foster growth and success within this project.
- Befriending Project: This initiative focuses on enabling adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to engage in community activities through befriending, mentoring, and peer-led programs, all supported by our dedicated volunteers. As Business Manager, you will orchestrate the essential logistical, analytical, and administrative tasks that keep this project running smoothly.
Initially you will oversee the service delivery of the befriending project, whilst supporting the IGC team to secure additional funding to expand into other geographical areas.
On the achievement of additional areas, regional staff will be supported.
This role is crucial in making sure we deliver exceptional service, stay compliant, and run our projects efficiently— whilst ensuring our mission, vision and values are not compromised. You will also be key in developing the Charity as it seeks to evolve its services and reach.
About you
It’s essential that:
- You have at least two years’ experience managing services for individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- You possess strong business acumen, with experience in budget management and service development.
- You have a proven track record of successful team management
- You hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
- You are able to work flexibly across locations in Essex to fulfil the requirements of the role.

As a QEHB Charity Senior Corporate Fundraiser you will primarily be based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in Edgbaston, with frequent travel off site to attend meetings and events.
You will be key in helping to build new relationships with corporates across the region and nationally as well as nurture existing supporters.
This role is for someone with considerable experience in corporate fundraising (ideally 3-5 years) within a Charity with a proven track record of delivering on income targets and proactively generating fundraising leads and ideas.
The Senior Fundraiser will work closely with other members of the hospital charity and will be responsible for delivering demanding fundraising targets from corporate supporters and local businesses.
This role will cover fundraising for all aspects of the hospital, including the hospital charity’s work with military patients.
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing new fundraising projects to offer our corporate donors, with the aim of driving income and increasing engagement across the four hospitals.
