The Mudlarks Community is a Hertford based charity supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities and mental health concerns. Through supported learning and meaningful work in the community we help people build confidence and self-worth whilst developing important skills.
Since its inception in 2008, Mudlarks has become a much valued and respected part of the community in Hertford and the surrounding area. We are now looking for an inspirational leader to join us on a full-time, permanent basis and continue to strengthen this legacy.
Location of job: Mudlarks’ office and across all services provided by Mudlarks, as well as regularmeetings with sponsors and other stakeholders. This is not a remote working position.
Hours: Generally 40 hours a week, but flexibility is required. Events, fundraising and networking take place outside office hours.

The Role
As the Chief Executive Officer, you will:
• Develop and deliver a strategic plan and annual budget.
• Develop Mudlarks’ public profile, build relationships with, and influence key stakeholders
• Provide effective and dynamic leadership across the Mudlarks organisation.
• Establish and monitor key indicators of the charity’s impact and financial health.
• Lead fundraising activities including applications to win contracts from public bodies and income from individual and corporate donations, legacies, trusts and grants.
• Manage direct reports effectively, providing supervision, support, development and annual appraisals for all managers, and ensure they do so for all staff.
• Uphold the charity’s culture of care, ensuring employees, participants, customers, partners and volunteers are respected and valued.
• Ensure that Mudlarks’ policies and practices are up to date, relevant and fair in the current charity environment and that the organisation is managed in line with the current best practice in employment and equality legislation
• Undertake any other duties as required by the trustees.
About you
To be considered as our Chief Executive Officer, you will need:
· Proven experience in senior leadership and inspirational team management.
· Expertise in strategic planning, operational delivery, and monitoring outcomes.
· Outstanding advocacy and relationship-building skills.
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Competency in the use of IT applications

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree is expected. Further qualifications in social care or the environment would be helpful but not essential. Experience of working in the learning disability sector is desirable.

Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legacy and Individual Giving Officer. You’ll lead on our Legacy and Individual Giving strategy and be part of a group of outstanding fundraisers.
Working closely with the Senior Public Fundraising Manger, you will plan and develop engaging supporter communications and products across multiple channels to multiple individual audiences, including acquisition and retention.
You will create and implement all aspects of legacy fundraising and administer legacy cases in line with best practice - communicating with executors, solicitors and all other aspects of estate administration.

ROLE PURPOSE
The Individual Giving (IG) and Legacies Officer will work closely with the IG Manager and play a pivotal role in growing cash and regular donors and legacy giving for St George’s Hospital Charity. This position is crucial to our goal of increasing individual giving from £350,000 to £600,000 and legacies over the next five years.
The postholder will have a strong direct and digital marketing background as they will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to:
• lead marketing initiatives for all IG streams including cash, regular, Payroll Giving, Face to Face, Lottery.
• drive forward seamless automated digital stewardship journeys, and produce engaging campaigns that demonstrate our impact.
• delivering effective digital activities that grow our brand awareness and income from fundraising campaigns
They will also be a strong administrator, with attention to detail leading on administration for Individual Giving and Legacies, working with IG Manager and Fundraising Assistant to ensure online and offline donations are accurately processed, reconciled and uploaded to our database.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Individual Giving
1.1. Recruit, engage and mobilise donors to increase income year on year.
1.2. Lead on two fundraising campaigns each year, creating communication assets for our website, social media platforms and newsletters.
1.3. Ensure our donation platforms are fit for purpose and integrate into our database, with a view to ensuring we have a high donor conversion rate.
1.4. Ensure all activities comply with relevant data protection and gift aid legislation, adhering to Fundraising Regulator standards.
1.5. Where appropriate, act as a point of contact for external agencies and direct marketing platform providers.
1.6. With support from Fundraising Assistant, ensure our administration, record keeping and thanking for all IG activity is accurate and up to date.
1.7. Process & record income onto our CRM, including batch uploads.
2. Legacy Giving
2.1. Lead on all legacy administration including processing incoming legacy gifts, keeping accurate records, ensure they are allocated correctly and thanked appropriately, where possible.
2.2. Liaising with solicitors on open legacy cases and recording updates.
2.3. Support IG Manager on legacy marketing materials and campaigns.
3. Donor Journeys
3.1. Develop and disseminate key supporter journeys across web, social media and Google Ads
3.2. Plan, design, write and deliver automated email supporter journeys for new and existing donors to enhance engagement and retention.
3.3. Create engaging communication assets (videos, blog posts, leaflets) for donors and prospective donors that demonstrate the charity’s impact.
4. Direct & Digital Marketing
4.1. Lead on content creation creatively that will appeal and engage our supporters e.g. social media posts, videos, blog posts
4.2. Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) to drive traffic and donations.
4.3. Liaise with external agencies where necessary.
4.4. Update associated webpages e.g. Donate, Leave a Gift in your Will, ensuring these pages are user friendly and accessible with a view to improve conversion rates of people donating online and leaving a gift in their will.
4.5. Collaborate with internal teams and hospital staff to research, develop, and deliver new campaigns, messages, or digital products.
4.6. Implement tests with clear segmentation and testing matrices to maximize learning and income from each campaign.
4.7. Analyse and interpret direct marketing campaign results, producing regular reports that draw conclusions and make recommendations for future activity.
4.8. Work with our Database Manager to ensure all campaign data is utilized, captured, and processed efficiently and accurately.
4.9. Work with management to develop a digital fundraising plan that is clear and timeline-focussed to grow relevant income streams e.g. legacies and individual giving.
4.10.Plan and implement strategies to mobilise supporters via digital channels aiming to increase our newsletter subscribers from 3,000 – 10,000 contacts with a view to convert digital leads into cash donors
5. General Duties
• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance team performance and collaboration.
• Using our communications toolkit, incorporate our branding and tone of voice across all assets.
• As and when required, provide front desk coverage, welcoming visitors and donors at the Welcome Office and serving as a friendly and helpful representative of the organisation.

The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is seeking a Legal Officer (10-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension) to play a key role in enabling us to fulfil our mission to break the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realise everyone’s right to a nationality. There is a possibility of extension beyond the initial contract term, subject to funding availability.
ENS is a civil society alliance of over 180 members in 41 countries. We are dedicated to raising awareness about statelessness, supporting legal and policy development, and building civil society’s capacity to act. At the heart of our work lies the understanding that stateless people and their communities should be leaders of change.
This is a great opportunity to help us deliver our new Strategic Plan working at the forefront of one of the most pressing human rights issues. The successful candidate will support our law and policy development work and help galvanise change across the region to end statelessness in Europe.
We are looking for someone with a legal background and good understanding of statelessness and related human rights issues and standards. They will be able to demonstrate an aptitude to successfully perform the various facets of the role, including legal research and analysis, litigation, and legal advocacy. They will be highly articulate in English (other languages are an asset) with excellent attention to detail, and strong IT, organisational, and interpersonal skills. They will contribute positively to our dynamic organisational ethos, and demonstrate a flexible ‘can do’ approach, fitting well into a fast-moving and demanding environment with an international dimension.

Working pattern: Hybrid working with 1-2 days per week in the office (Thursday is main office day)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Processing Requests: Handle free will service requests, including setting up and updating database records.
- Information Fulfilment: Respond to information requests from campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up.
- Legacy Post: Sort and scan incoming legacy-related correspondence.
- Legacy Administration: Assist with administrative tasks such as letter writing to supporters and stakeholders.
- Supporter Engagement: Send out information packs to supporters, ensuring all materials are accurate and well-presented.
- Results Recording: Record and collate campaign results, supporting the team in tracking performance.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in administrative or support roles, ideally within a charity, marketing, or customer service setting.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to play a leading role at Cure Parkinson’s, as our Head of Public Fundraising. This role will be responsible for leading the charity’s Public Fundraising team and for delivering a strategy that focuses on recruiting new supporters and retaining existing supporters across multiple fundraising streams including Events (Special & Challenge), Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Legacies (incl. in-memory fundraising).
