PURPOSE OF THE POST/RESPONSIBILITIES
Caudwell Children is a national charity which works to change the lives of disabled and autistic children; change society’s understanding and acceptance of disability; and change public perceptions of the important role that charity plays in society.
Based from the award-winning Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Staffordshire, we seek an experienced relationship manager with the ability to identify opportunities and develop relationships to raise funds which support the charity’s expanding service delivery.
Responsible for the ownership and development of supporter relationships, this role will play a pivotal part in helping to grow the charity’s fundraising income and helping to change the lives of autistic and disabled children across the UK and beyond.
The successful candidate will join a growing team of enthusiastic fundraising professionals aimed at improving the donor experience and growing the charity’s repeat and sustainable income.
The role will be part of the Individual Giving fundraising strand which will be responsible for income lines including, but not limited to:
- Major Gifts
- Regular Gifts
- Wills & Legacy
- Raffles & Lottery
Success will be supported and monitored by the Director of Public Fundraising against KPI’s including lead generation, conversion rates and income growth.
Relationship development will be documented and reported using the charity’s dedicated CRM system (currently Raiser’s Edge).
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising/sales/relationship management
- Demonstrable understanding of the charity sector and professional fundraising
- Enthusiastic advocate of relationship management and conversion
- Experience in contributing to a successful sales/fundraising team
- Experience and skill in new business development
- Willingness and ability to undertake basic administrative activities themselves (not expecting of others what you would not do yourself).
- Computer literate, with strong competence in using the mainstream computing packages and products
- Driven, proactive and productive self-starter – able to work efficiently and achieve a lot under their own steam – but not afraid to ask questions when needed
- An enthusiastic, driven and sensitive team member - able to support their peers and encourage others for the benefit of the team
- Well organised – able to prioritise and manage own workload
- Confident, professional and friendly communicator with a hands on approach

THE ROLE
The Tree Equity Officer will lead on our vision that by 2030 we would like to see the added protection of existing trees and en route to 1 million more trees established in Scotland’s urban areas that currently have a low Tree Equity Score (TES). They will be responsible for establishing and developing partnerships with others to deliver exemplar projects across Scotland that demonstrate and communicate benefits of improving TES. The Tree Equity Officer will Advocate to embed use of TES in Local Area Plans/LA strategy of city authorities and encourage city authorities to raise funding for improving TES in their cities.
As part of the Scotland Team, they will be responsible for working together collaboratively with other colleagues across the Trust to develop and oversee the delivery of a Tree Equity strategy. They will work with policy and advocacy colleagues to influence local and national government and others to embed Tree Equity as a tool to inform and direct urban forestry and green space delivery and preferably embed within policy.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home and part of the time from one of our Regional Offices based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Our Hybrid Working Policy is flexible, and the frequency of time spent in your contracted office will vary across teams and job roles.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have excellent knowledge, experience and passion for urban forestry and/or urban green infrastructure. You will also have experience and understanding of the operation of local government and planning. You’ll be able to inspire and influence others to promote and embed Tree Equity delivery.
A key part of this roles requires programme and project management skills and experience in developing strategies and plans to deliver outcomes, particularly in urban greenspace.
You will have the ability to collaborate with other teams and colleagues to develop and lead the delivery of a Tree Equity strategy to ensure woods and trees are valued and recognised in key policies and decisions at a national level. You’ll have great research and analytical skills being able to communicate and tailor complex information to different audiences, building positive relationships internally and externally using your skills to influence stakeholders.

We’re very excited to be looking for a Legacy Fundraising officer to join the incredible team at Sense. Working closely with the Legacy Manager & Head of Individual Giving, you will play a key part in the development of the legacy marketing and administration programme for both existing and new supporters. This will see you increasing income from legacies, as well as maintaining and growing a pipeline of legacy prospects.
They are incredibly flexible and although this will be a hybrid position, they are happy to review a candidate’s location and make suitable arrangements. Both full-time and part-time hours considered.
To be a successful Legacy Fundraising Officer, you will need:
- Experience managing and delivering successful Fundraising direct marketing campaigns in a charity or not-for-profit setting
- Experience in supporter acquisition, retention, and the development of supporters.
- Experience managing data to increase response rates and average value

The Regular Giving Manager will have proven experience of:

• Creating and implementing donor journeys for different audiences and segments within mass fundraising.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

The role reports to the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and your key focus will be to support the growth of fundraised income over the next 3 years. This will involve many things including the development of fundraising appeals, lead generation campaigns, in memory fundraisers, legacy, payroll giving and the creation of compelling stewardship journeys for a range of audiences.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is keen to make a difference. You will have a broad skill set and previous experience of working in a small Fundraising team. You will be as happy responding to donor enquiries and carrying out finance reconciliation as you will be developing creative approaches for a new Fundraising appeal. The role requires a candidate with excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, experience of working with Fundraising CRMs, good analytical and administrative skills, and experience of working on a range of fundraising campaigns.

We are currently recruiting for a Fundraising Officer whose principle role will be to develop, support and champion Individual, Corporate and Community Fundraising activity.
The main purpose of this role is to collaborate with the Fundraising Manager in order to drive all fundraising activity in support of the Charity.
The secondary purpose of the role is to plan, manage and execute a programme of fundraising initiatives across the area to encourage corporates and community to help generate income through well considered, thoughtfully planned and effectively delivered programmes of fundraising activities.

Relationships:
The post holder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with potential, existing and lapsed corporate partners, external partners, community groups and individual supporters, and the wider Fundraising team.
Main Responsibilities:
• Identify prospective new corporate partners in specific sectors through research, networking, and an understanding of the marketplace with the goal of maximising sustainable opportunities for income generation to agreed budgets.
• Develop and nurture portfolio of corporate accounts, liaising with directors, CSR managers and executives to cultivate effective and sustainable partnerships with companies that are truly committed to helping Hounds for Heroes achieve its aims.
• Actively track in-year and long-term income potential, highlighting income at risk or lost, and develop plans to minimise the impact
• Act as a brand ambassador for the Charity establishing multi-level relationships which educate and inform key contacts and Charity ambassadors and encourage the growth of a dedicated supporter base.
• Maintain thorough records and plans in support of all activities
• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of Hounds For Heroes’ operational priorities, articulating our vision and creating winning cases for support
• Promote networking events in order to raise the profile of the Charity and its activities nationally but with a particular focus in southern England

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties
This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.
The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we support.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising Overview
- Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
- Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
- Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
- Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.
Supporter Engagement and Stewardship
- Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
- To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
- Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK
Database Management
- To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
- Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
- Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
- Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
- Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.
Individual Giving
- Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
- Lead the growth of CT100 monthly giving.
- Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.
Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns
- Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
- Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
- Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals
Staff and Volunteers
- Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
- Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.
Wider organisational responsibilities
- Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Operations.
- Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of The Cinnamon Trust
