About us
Who we are
Every year, Woodgreen’s dedicated teams work tirelessly to provide safe shelter, specialist care, and a brighter future for thousands of pets. And we’re here for owners in need of advice and support too, every step of the way.
Our teams work together to create an individual plan for every pet – from medical treatment to behaviour training. And when the pet is ready, we find them a loving home where they can live a happy and fulfilling life.
We're dedicated to helping pets and their people at every step of the pet ownership journey. And, of course, we're also here to help pets in need - giving them safe shelter, specialist care, lots of fuss and a brighter future.
At its heart, our work is about stopping a pet from ever becoming homeless. And that means preventing and spotting the signs of issues that put them at risk of being abandoned or given up.
Every year, we help more than 8,000 pets and their people. Around 2,000 dogs, cats and small animals are brought into our care for rehoming - many of which were strays with nowhere else to turn. We also help around 4,500 pets in our local communities through our outreach services and more than 1,500 pets through our one-to-one behavioural advice and training classes offered by our team of behaviour and training specialists.
