Responsibilities of our Retail Buying Manager:
- Our Retail Buying Manager is responsible for the strategy, planning and procurement of our new goods ranges for shops and online sales, setting new goods pricing strategies, budgets, achieving margins, and category profitability in shops.
- This is a key role contributing to the overall strategic direction of the Retail and Trading operation and leading on the development and optimisation of our new goods proposition across the Retail estate. This includes supporting the Retail Leadership and Management team to coach and develop shop teams to maximise new goods sales income and margin performance
About the Retail and Trading team:
- The Cats Protection Retail Estate and Ecommerce operation plays a key role in generating income and introducing audiences to Cats Protection.
- Our shop estate serves as our shop window to the world, and our new goods operation is vital to our overall Retail success. Our online presence extends our reach further still. All such activity should consistently reflect our charitable goals, values, and behaviours.
What we’re looking for in our Retail Buying Manager:
- Extensive experience in a complementary retail buying role within the charity retail sector or mainstream retail
- Extensive experience of setting and managing income and profitability budgets and understanding of profit and loss formats
- Experience of EPOS systems and understanding of the importance of VAT coding
- Evidence of sustainable new goods sales and profitability growth in previous operations
- Highly developed negotiation, numerical and analytical skills
- Full UK driving license & access to vehicle

The Funding Management team is looking for a Funding Manager, in Belfast.
This role is responsible for all aspects of funding management across a portfolio of restricted funds, ensuring that we are meeting all the Funders and The Trusts requirements. Working effectively across teams to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance, to allow The Trust to maximise its support to young people.
You will use your contract/funding management skills to ensure that we are able to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance. By working across teams and drawing on your time management, leadership, communication, governance, audit and problem solving skills you will ensure that expenditure claims and reports are compiled accurately and in a timely fashion, and that we comply with all reporting and evidencing requirements for output monitoring.
You will to ensure that The Trust has accurate monthly accounts by preparing drawdown, accrual and deferral figures for the monthly finance return and regularly reviewing the Debtors Report to ensure sufficient cash flow and will manage all funder and internal audits and ensure recommendations are acted upon, sharing best practice across the team.

This role focuses on managing the implementation, budget, and contractual aspects of the program, ensuring its success in equipping underserved communities with essential AI and digital skills.

THE ROLE
- We are going through an exciting period of development, with significant opportunity for growth within our corporate partnerships and high levels of interest to build-on and develop. - Work with Communications Manager to ensure regular updates to website and other digital channels (social, e-newsletters), identifying opportunities for partnership activities.
Stewardship
- Develop account management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
- Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
- Keep all relevant donor contact history and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice.

The Role
Vocabulous is an innovative online resource to aid targeted and explicit vocabulary teaching in Key Stage 2 and 3 English lessons. We are looking for a part-time member of staff to lead our education programmes. This will involve talking to new schools about using the site, working with schools to support them to implement Vocabulous in lessons and running regional training programmes to build networks of schools that are confidently and consistently teaching Latin and Greek roots.
The other aspect of the role is to contribute to the development of the new KS2 and KS3 curricula. This will involve designing aspects of the new programmes, writing questions and resources, and planning changes in response to school feedback. Over the next couple of years, the programme is going to be split into a KS2 site and a KS3 site, with the KS2 site being launched in September 2025.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Development will provide overall leadership for Videre’s fundraising activities. They will develop and implement the fundraising strategy, ensuring income goals are achieved in the short, medium and long-term through direct relationship building, input to programme design, concept note drafting and deployment of the CEO and Senior Directors. They will be part of the organisational Management Team, working closely with colleagues to deliver on the organisational strategy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic planning and management
- Lead on the delivery of the 2025-2027 fundraising strategy, adjusting as required, ensuring that Videre has the resources to deliver on its mission and strategic goals.
- Lead on maintaining our backbone infrastructure of prospect research, concept note coordination and drafting and deployment of senior staff (including yourself) into the right spaces with the right messages and background information.
- Track progress against the fundraising strategy, with regular reporting to senior management and the Board of Trustees against strategic indicators and outcomes, and pro-actively address any potential shortfalls.
- Maintain detailed and accurate income projections and forecasts, liaising with the Head of Finance & Compliance to closely monitor organisational cash flow.
- Line manage the Trust & Foundation Officer (expected to hire in late 2025), providing close support on operational tasks, time management and prioritisation, and pro-actively supporting professional development.
- Monitor external donor trends and adapt plans accordingly to ensure Videre remains well placed to secure funding over the long-term.
- Contribute to long-term organisational planning and positioning, and proactively identify aligned funding environments and opportunities.

Donor cultivation, approaches, and retention
- With the CEO, develop and maintain strong working relationships across Videre’s donor portfolio, ensuring timely and responsive communications with all existing and potential funders, including institutional donors, private foundations, trusts, individuals, and other partner organisations.
- Lead the development of cultivation strategies for existing and potential donors and manage their implementation.
- Develop materials, including proposals, grant applications, and supporting documentation tailored to the donor audience, ensuring accuracy, fit, and timely submission.
- Collaborate closely with Head of Finance & Compliance to prepare proposal and grant application budgets.
- Conduct prospect research and monitor new funding opportunities, analyse donor trends and maintain relevant knowledge on donor priorities, rules and requirements.
- Analyse the reasons for success or failure of funding proposals, extracting and applying learning to improve the success rate of future funding applications.
- Ensure adherence to Videre’s Ethical Funding Policy, carrying out due diligence on funding sources where appropriate

Grant management and reporting

HAMRAH seeks to equip Afghan civil society in exile to protect and strengthen the rights of vulnerable groups in Afghanistan, especially women and girls. We do this through core funding, capacity strengthening, network building and collaborative advocacy.
HAMRAH is hosted by Global Dialogue, an international philanthropy support organisation partnering with funders to advance rights, equity and diversity. Independent in status and global in reach, Global Dialogue provides funder networks, collaboratives and their partners with practical support and technical expertise to create lasting change.
We seek a Senior Programme Officer – Development & Advocacy to ensure timely and effective implementation of project deliverables through day-to-day management of activities and processes.
Hours This role is full-time (35 hours/week). We are open to negotiating a working pattern that works for the successful candidate and for Global Dialogue.
Terms Fixed term Contract -1 year (subject to 12-week probationary period. Possibility of an extension dependent on funding)
Location Home Based. All locations welcome, you will need the right to work in the country that you reside in, we are unable to offer support with visa applications.
Reporting Reports to the Programme Director
Remuneration This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of £44,500 (pro rata for a part time position). Global Dialogue offers a range of benefits including 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays (pro rata), a flexible working policy, and personal development leave. We contribute 6% to our employee’s workplace pension (on qualifying earnings).

The HAMRAH Initiative is designed to address the significant challenges faced by Afghan civil society organisations (CSOs) forced into exile, particularly women-led organisations, as they continue to provide protection for vulnerable groups within Afghanistan. The initiative focuses on fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy to safeguard the rights of vulnerable populations, including women and girls.
Through sustained technical support and resources, HAMRAH aims to build a stronger Afghan civil society equipped with essential organisational infrastructure, leadership skills, and collaborative networks to preserve hard-won gains and advance rights and protections for vulnerable groups.
Currently, we are supporting 10 Afghan CSOs in exile, located around the world, that continue working partially or fully inside Afghanistan to protect vulnerable populations, including women and girls, LGBTQ+ communities, and individuals with disabilities.

Overview
The Senior Programme Officer - Development & Advocacy will play a vital role in advancing the HAMRAH initiative and strengthening the resilience of cohort organisations through fundraising, research, joint policy advocacy, communication, and capacity development. This position requires a dynamic and caring professional with experience working with Global South CSOs, as well as the passion and empathy to drive strategic initiatives, build partnerships, and amplify programmatic impact. In this role, you will collaborate closely with HAMRAH's partner cohort organisations (10 CSOs in exile), mentors, the advisory board, and other key stakeholders. The right post holder will be comfortable responding to the needs of a cohort of organisations whose priorities may change, which can lead to working in ways that require flexibility. There will be opportunities to explore, discuss and debate new ideas and consider how the latest research could benefit the cohort of organisations.

Job Description
Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Monitor funding trends and donor priorities to develop tailored and compelling proposals.
Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development. Help facilitate policy dialogue and engagement with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and civil society networks, to advance the priorities of HAMRAH and its cohort organisations.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform programme strategies, advocacy efforts, and policy development. This includes helping produce briefing papers, reports, and articles with clear recommendations based on HAMRAH’s work and evidence. Also monitor emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in Afghanistan and other exiled communities across Global South to ensure programming remains responsive, relevant and impactful.
Communication and Reporting: Lead the development of newsletters and other digital communication materials to showcase HAMRAH’s achievements and cohort organisations’ work. If needed and approved by cohort, coordinate digital engagement strategies, including website updates and social media campaigns, to enhance HAMRAH visibility and outreach. Lead the drafting of narrative and financial reports to donors.
Capacity Development: support assessment of capacity-building needs of cohort organisations and develop tailored training plans to address identified gaps. When needed, provide technical support to cohort organisations to strengthen their operational and programmatic capacities.
Learning and Exchange: Support the planning and execution of online and in-person cross-learning exchange workshops with partner organisations in the Global South. Facilitate opportunities for collaboration and collective learning, and help establish global solidarity networks, platforms, and resources to enhance knowledge-sharing among cohort organisations.
Person specification
Required

At least 5 years of experience in programme support across fundraising, joint advocacy, partnership, research and capacity development, particularly in the non-profit or international development sectors.

Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge that could have been gained through lived experiences or informal learning.

Demonstrated experience in grant writing and successfully developing funding proposals for institutional donors, foundations, or multilateral agencies.

Previous experience in policy dialogue, joint advocacy and policy development, particularly engaging with government stakeholders, donors, and civil society networks.

Experience in research, mapping, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, proposals, and policy documents.

Demonstrated communication and networking skills, including experience in digital engagement and social media strategy.

Strong Empathy and care for activists and human rights defenders, with a strong commitment to enabling their work and safeguarding their well-being who are operating in a complex and challenging environment.
