We're seeking three skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Young Person’s Worker. In these role, you will play a vital role in providing support to at-risk young people who are experiencing homelessness. We have roles available in our services in Islington and Waltham Forest.
Your mission: to support and empower young people to develop the lifelong tools they need to lead fulfilling lives outside the confines of traditional services. You will carry a caseload of clients who you will formulate a comprehensive support and safety plan with, which forms part of the ongoing casework, promoting independence and preparing young people for moving into independent accommodation, and employment and education.
About the Role:
As the Young Person's Worker, you will be working within a strengths and recovery framework embedded within a trauma informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are at the centre of the support planning process. You will be the lead worker overseeing the support and development of the young person’s needs and aspirations. You will guide and signpost the young person to the relevant statutory and non statutory services and will be key in motivating and coaching the young person to develop independent living skills.

The model is designed to target and engage Global Majority students aged 15-18 and support them through a series of bespoke skill development, career awareness and confidence boosting workshops in preparation for applying for a summer or half-term internship.

We are looking for people to deliver our Being Dad programme of peer support for expectant and new dads, or those with parental responsibilities, in the perinatal period (pregnancy to two years).

Responsibilities
- With an emphasis on High Value Fundraising, develop and implement a multi-channel fundraising strategy to grow and develop The Nightingale’s income stream including major donors, trusts and foundations, individual giving, events and corporate fundraising.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the fundraising team, setting income targets and delivering strategic support.
- Build sustainable, long-term relationships that align with The Nightingale’s fundraising priorities and the creation of clearly defined, measurable targets and KPIs.
- Develop fundraising tools and materials, creating bespoke, high-quality materials that resonate with major donors and support broader fundraising activities such as printed materials, e-marketing, and web-based materials.
- Ensure compliance with fundraising best practices, including data protection legislation and the Charity Commission’s guidelines.
- Lead the development of strategies and tactics to increase the lifetime value of existing donors, ambassadors and patrons, creating and engaging mid/high value philanthropy programme including supporting the delivery of a strategy for working with high profile individuals and influencers.
- Manage high-level relationships with major donors, ensuring their contributions are recognised and cultivated for future support.
- Identify new donors, influencers and ambassadors, working with the Board of Trustees and existing Major Donors to map and engage new networks to generate revenue.
- Research, develop and produce a range of bids to charitable trusts and foundations, and other appropriate organisations.
- Taking the lead to develop relationships with existing and new prospects with a view to growing the charity’s income.
- Understanding the motivations that encourage companies to give and to be confident in researching and identifying companies
- Managing all income streams, regular donations, bucket collections, one off donations and funds generated from third party engagement.
- Working alongside the Head of Marketing and Comms to create fundraising products and tools to help support our partners.
- Assisting with all levels of corporate administration, thank you letters, certificates, project reports, updating information via the database, website and social media etc.
Essential requirements include:
- Proven track record of delivering income targets of £100k and upwards.
- Proven track record of identifying, compiling and managing relationships with Trusts and Foundations as well as corporate partners.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written with a range of audiences.
- Ability to develop high quality, coherent and thorough fundraising proposals and pitches.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competence in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work independently, applying own initiative.
- Able to be flexible and adaptable (attending networking events and meetings as necessary).
- A full clean driving licence and use of vehicle.

About the Role
Base Location: The main headquarters of the Charity is in Leamington Spa although some of the work involves being located across Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire. We have a blended approach of home-based working, office-based working and travelling to and attending meetings as required. The postholder is expected to adopt a flexible approach to their work.
Salary: £29,094 + travel expenses + pension.

The main responsibilities of this role are:
Relationship Management
· To act as the lead and relationship manager with partners on behalf of Think Active Lead, or support on the development of local partnerships and networks promoting collaboration across all relevant sectors
· Raise awareness of funding opportunities available to increase participation in sport and physical activity.
· Lead, or support on the development of local place partnerships that align multiple agendas with partners from across different sectors and advocate for the benefits of physical activity.
Project Management
· To act as the lead for Sport England and other projects and initiatives managed by Think Active.
· High quality Project Management that ensures projects aims are clear, that they are delivered on time and on budget and in line with our values.
· Effective delivery of the Think Active. #WeThinkActive Strategy, through your contribution as a team member of Think Active and with and through partners.
· Tangibly contribute to the increase participation in sport and physical activity and address wider social needs through creative and innovative approaches and partnerships.
· Seek out opportunities to generate income and contribute to Think Active business development and income generation targets both for the organisation and for local partners.
· Use robust data and insight to co-design, implement and evaluate innovative. and appropriate projects and initiatives.
· Prepare detailed reports; including performance and financial in relation to your work.
· Adhere to GDPR and data protection through your planning, implementation and communication.
Financial Management
· Plan, implement and in accordance with funding guidance, financial procedures,
and policies, take responsibility for diversifying Think Active’s income streams through in line with the strategy and business development plan
· Project and budget management including forecasting, monitoring of income and expenditure, plus the submission of financial reporting
Demonstrating Impact
Reporting progress and capturing value through case studies and evaluation processes designed to evidence the impact targets. Story telling – the ability to articulate the impact and value of Think Active (locally, regionally, nationally across various sectors)
Marketing and Communications
· Work with the Marketing and Communications Leads and deliberately and thoughtfully align projects and work with Think Active’s Active Societies strategic objective.
· By strategically cultivating and managing partnerships you will play an important role in building brand visibility and enhancing Think Active’s marketing and communications efforts.
· You will collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to create compelling narratives that showcase the impact of our projects and initiatives, driving awareness and engagement.
· By leveraging partnerships, the Partnership Manager will contribute to positioning Think Active in promoting health and well-being through innovative and impactful physical activity projects, initiatives and collaborations.
