What will I be doing?

Collecting and analysing data from a wide range of sources.

A degree in a numerate subject or equivalent

Female Night Support Mentor (3 years Fixed Term Contract)

ABOUT THE FEMALE NIGHT SUPPORT MENTOR ROLE
This is an exciting new opportunity as we expand our services in the Luton area with a new service! We are looking for a dedicated team to deliver person centred and bespoke trauma informed support to vulnerable women in Luton. This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures.
The service will engage with women who are sexually exploited and are facing homelessness due to multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical or ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and who are engaging in survival sex or sex work, enduring high levels of violence and coercion. These are women who often find themselves repeatedly going through the accommodation pathway and have exhausted all other available options.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Support Mentors on a 3 year FTC to join our team and play a vital role in empowering individuals to rebuild their lives. As a Support Mentor, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed care and support to people within our services, focusing on their recovery, rehabilitation, and personal development.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Shift patterns to be confirmed but may include Monday to Sunday night shifts and bank holiday working. This will be on a rota basis in a face to face service.

Ministry Leadership and Services (MLS) Ltd is a UK registered not-for-profit company. MLS employees and volunteers work collaboratively with others from different parts of SIM, offering leadership and administrative support to the work of SIM, as part of SIM’s International structure. MLS is the employer for SIM International staff in the UK.
Goal of this role:
SIM successfully utilises Oracle NetSuite finance software throughout 50+ SIM entities.
- Operate as the Finance (functional) owner of SIM’s use and development of Oracle NetSuite finance software.
- Collaborate with other non-Finance users of NetSuite to ensure full integration.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders of IT systems used within SIM to ensure best integrated solutions.
- Lead the implementation of NetSuite financials to the SIM entities that are yet to implement.
- Provide the main accounting input to the implementation and development team.
- Become fluent in SIM finance systems and processes.
- Manage support to users of the NetSuite system, in conjunction with others in the Finance and IT teams.
- Recommend and implement changes to SIM global finance processes to enable best practice use of software tools.
- Ensure any changes in SIM practices and processes after implementation of software, are fully documented.
- Advise Global Director of Finance of any significant issues arising with software, with possible action plans.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Commitment to the ethos, SIM Commitment statement and Purpose & Mission of SIM
- Professional Accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA etc.) or similar level of expertise through experience
- Technically strong in accounting and comfortable with handling complex scenarios
- Interest in accounting software, systems and processes
- Ability to delegate tasks and manage a team
- Ability to thrive in a team but also be proactive and free thinking in suggesting solutions
- Oral and written fluency in English and good communication skills
- Excellent administrative and computer skills including MS office programs
- Ability to work collaboratively across cultures
- Experience and ability in working remotely from other team members and supervisor
Desirable:
- Prior Oracle NetSuite experience
- Prior software implementation experience
- Working knowledge of at least one other language used by SIM finance teams (e.g. French or Spanish)

As a Support Mentor, you will work within a psychologically informed environment (PIE) to empower individuals with complex needs, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. The Support Mentor will be working in residential service, working with complex needs homeless people, including mental health and substance misuse.
RBKC Services: Specialises in supporting people with multiple needs, accommodation and community-based support. We help people that struggle with daily living, mental illness, substance and alcohol abuses, homelessness or offending backgrounds by providing them with support to overcome difficulties existing because of their life circumstances. We strive to address the inequality of access to health, employment, training, and social care support for people with multiple needs .We understand that many people accessing our services have had to endure trauma and we respond to the impact of these adverse experiences through person-centered, trust-building and compassionate support.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, with weekday shifts from Monday to Friday offering options of Early: 9:00 - 5:00, Mid: 11:00 - 7:00, Late: 1:00 - 9:00. Weekend shifts, if required, will run from Early: 9:00 - 5:00.
Salary: £26,100
What are we looking for from a Support Mentor?
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
- Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders

In this role you will provide administrative and organisational support for the CEO and associated internal stakeholders, including the Board, Committees and the Senior Leadership Team.
You will be pivotal in overseeing the provision of administrative support within the charity as a whole and act as the Board Secretary. Within this role you will organise Board meetings and all associated papers for meetings, including agendas and minutes.
The successful candidate will possess experience of providing administrative support to senior leaders, alongside a track record in using IT and financial systems. Experience of managing internal relationships, competing priorities and confidential and sensitive information is also essential.
