Working alongside and complementing the mental health care provided by the Multi-Disciplinary Teams, our Lived Experience Support Workers offer a strength-based holistic approach to recovery, using empathy and understanding to help service users access the right interventions and support, based on their individual need.

They also support clients to develop and maintain independence in their local community, promoting resilience, building life skills, and a strengthened ability to cope with challenges and play a more active role in the management and sustainability of their wellbeing.

We are seeking another Lived Experience Support Worker to join our team. You will have lived experience of mental health challenges, as well as experience supporting vulnerable people within a clinical environment and/or managing a vulnerable client cohort caseload.

The role will involve:

• Working alongside a Multi-Disciplinary Team, managing and providing recovery-orientated support to a diverse caseload of clients with mental health diagnoses
• Offering clients tailored, holistic support with empathy and understanding to empower them to develop resilience, a strengthened ability to cope with ongoing challenges, and a more active role in the management of their wellbeing
• Engaging clients in peer support sessions and offering appropriate and holistic advice, information, and signposting and helping them to navigate the support that may be available to them in their local communities.

The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. About You

You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC 

• Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work 

• Asset map 

• Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging 

• Encourage and pilot community lead action in response to local AFC needs/interests through peer led/co-designed initiatives 

• Increase awareness of the challenges faced by military personnel, veterans and their families

As a Community Development Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Community Builders, fostering collaboration, innovation and commitment to community impact working in an ABCD informed way. This is an exciting and varied role for dynamic and confident individuals, in which the right candidate will work directly within communities across the UK; bringing the Armed Forces Community together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. About You

You will be responsible for the effective line management of a dispersed community-based team and have experience managing co-designed/co-delivered community development initiatives. You will have a genuine professional commitment to ABCD informed delivery, possess the capacity to work collaboratively with others and pilot projects for new community development initiatives by identifying and creating viable plans for growth and expansion to increase reach, impact and accessibility across the AFC.  

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate locality-based Community Development related services 

• Provide line management for a regionally specific team of Community Builders, positively participating in line management meetings, annual appraisals, monthly and quarterly team meetings as required facilitating 1:1 and group line management supervision including volunteers 

• Act as safeguarding and health and safety lead for your regional team ensuring safe practice 

• Set clear objectives and performance expectations for Community Development colleagues/volunteers and programme activity

• Identify and leverage community assets and resources to support community development initiatives

Job Purpose: 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the continuous development and delivery of a specialist service working in partnership with Central Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust, providing enhanced support to women with mental and physical health needs preparing to leave prison and resettle back in to the community. This project takes a trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support and works together with partner agencies to provide a bridge from prison to the community.

They are now seeking a dedicated Service Manager for their well-respected homeless night shelter in St Albans.

Our client’s homeless shelter provides emergency accommodation for up to 12 single homeless people in St Albans each night.; their dedicated staff team offer a trauma-informed, safe environment which is person-centred and supports beneficiaries to access the help they need. As Service Manager, you’ll support your team and be responsible for overseeing support, advice and assistance to beneficiaries who are/have been living on the streets so that they are able to access and maintain a safe and secure home of their own.

You will also have demonstrable line management experience, and a knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to homelessness, housing and the equalities act.

We are seeking a Head of Finance to lead a UK Finance team to deliver an effective finance function for the UK’s leading fostering charity and membership organisation.

Position: Head of Finance

Location: Hybrid: home working with regular travel to London, or based in the London office with some home working

Salary: £52,000-£57,000 + London Weighting if eligible

What you’ll be doing:
