Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time.

People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters.

As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at speed.

As part of an ongoing strategy of development SCAA is looking for a motivated, focussed and committed individual to help raise the profile of the service and raise the funding required to continue to provide support across Scotland.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base, at Aberdeen Airport, where our SCAA emergency response helicopters and crew are located. SCAA supports a flexible working pattern and hybrid working. As well as working alongside the fundraising and communications team you will be working with the SCAA pilots and paramedics. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for maximising engagement and income from individual and regular donors.

The Individual Giving Manager is a new role for SCAA, demonstrating our commitment to growth in the coming years. As this is a new role, the successful candidate will be able to make the role their own, determining success alongside the Head of Individual Giving and Engagement. You will help SCAA to achieve their ambitious goals and continue to provide a life-saving essential service across Scotland into the future through a programme of sustainable funding.

The role advertised will require you to:

1.To regularly check fabric of the buildings and grounds and to advise the Manager of any repair work that may be required, carrying out any repair work within capabilities and advise Manager if specialist contractors may be required

2. To undertake any such repair work as directed by the Manager where safe and practical to do so, and with due regard to Health & Safety rules. Repairs and works such as hard landscaping, carpentry, fencing, decorating, general construction works and building new areas for resident pets.

3. To undertake simple repairs to plant installations and equipment as directed by the Manager, where safe and practical to do so and with due regard to Health & Safety rules.

4. To maintain gardens neatly and with due regard to safety matters with special regard for resident pets, wildlife and team members. To mow lawns and tend to flower beds, borders, planters and hanging baskets as required.

5. To clear away rubbish and debris from the garden and grounds, bagging up for waste disposal or composting, as appropriate, keeping the area neat and tidy.

6. To ensure the safe and secure storage of all hazardous materials, including paints, creosote, drain cleaners, fuel and oil for petrol mowers / strimmers, pesticides, herbicides and other garden materials, in accordance with the requirements of the C.O.S.H.H. Regulations (latest revision). To maintain an up-to-date file of C.O.S.H.H. Data Sheets for these hazardous substances.

7. To ensure the maintenance and safe and secure storage of garden equipment, including mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, power tools and any heavy machinery. Knowledge of how to use all tools safely and efficiently. Ensure company vans are clean and tidy at all times.

8. To be available outside normal working hours to provide help and support should one of the resident pets pass away, or for emergency repairs such as broken fences, leaks etc

A leading Multi-Academy Trust comprised of 11 primary and secondary schools in the East Midlands is seeking an Interim Senior Finance Business Partner for a full-time, permanent role.

The role would best suit someone who could start at short notice.

With a salary of £50,000 - £54,939 per annum plus an excellent local government pension scheme, the role will be largely onsite at the Trust’s Head Office in Kettering and onsite at the schools – either in Kettering, Corby or Wisbech.

The role will involve producing management accounts and genuine strategic finance business partnering to a range of budget holders in schools – headteachers, senior leadership team members, catering and IT Managers etc. There may also be some budgeting and analysis at central Trust level in addition to working with the schools.

The role also involves costing and cost analysis, interpreting complex financial data, journal postings and assisting with year-end close.

The Business Development Co-ordinator reports to the Business Development Operations Manager and is the linchpin for our business development programmes.  You will be responsible for setting up events online and face to face, contacting trainers, taking bookings and supporting with promotion; making sure the support and content made available to families is kept up to date. The role also involves updating our CRM database, making sure invoices are raised and paid and collating information for reports from the database or Excel.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has excellent IT and digital skills, ideally with experience of online event systems such as Eventbrite and Zoom, a good knowledge of Excel and experience using a CRM database. You’ll need to be highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly, confident phone manner and a good knowledge of the issues and concerns families with disabled children face.

NHS Providers' development programmes team delivered a range of training and development activities for NHS boards and foundation trust governors. The team delivers over 200 events annually. We are looking for an additional programme administrator to take responsibility for the efficient event and logistics administration of this work to deliver high quality training and support for our members. This activity is delivered virtually, in-person or hybrid.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, high-performing team working across two of NHS Providers' successful programmes – GovernWell and the Board Development programme. The individual should enjoy working in a fast paced environment, be a good communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. They must be able to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a team, along with being insightful and organised with a keen eye for detail.
