About us
Who we are
Originally founded in 1975 as Maidstone Volunteer Bureau, with a purpose to recruit and connect volunteers and respond to local needs in the community.
50 years on, Involve are leaders in innovative approaches working with children, adults and their communities. We are ambitious about the impact we can have, seeking a shift in attitude around health and mental health and a parity of esteem between social and clinical interventions.
We work to the World Health Organisation (WHO) definition of health as “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
