About us
Who we are
Emmaus Bristol helps people out of homelessness and poverty.
We provide a home, support, training and work experience for up formerly homeless men and women (known as Companions) in Bristol as well as family homes for those in housing need, and move-on homes.
Companions volunteer in our social enterprises, gaining work experience and skills to help them into future employment. We have shops, an online store and a warehouse to collect, sort, upcycle and sell donated pre-loved furniture, clothes and household items. We also have two eco treehouse pods for tourists to rent.
We are a local charity, serving Bristol and surrounding areas, and are one of hundreds of Emmaus communities around the world.

In Bristol we do this by providing a community of affordable and safe homes, meaningful work experience and training through our Social Enterprises, which in turn provide social and environmental value for our local community.
