The Role

The Head of Development will deliver the charity's ambitious 3-year fundraising strategy and oversee all fundraising campaigns across membership, individual giving, trusts, foundations, and corporate support, as well as providing excellent stewardship to major donors. They will guide, inspire and support a high-performing and collaborative development team to achieve annual fundraising goals, as well as overseeing internal fundraising processes.

The postholder will manage and grow a portfolio of supporters, and work closely with the CEO on one-off major gift campaigns. They will also provide stewardship of funders to the highest standard, ensuring the delivery of promised benefits to all members and supporters, such as complimentary ticket requests, special events, and rehearsal attendance. Additionally, they will oversee the messaging and strategy for legacy giving and manage an engaging communications schedule for supporters that conveys the company's key messages and values.

Job purpose
This is a new role, responsible for delivering financial support for our mission from corporate partners.  Initially, the majority of your time will be devoted to new business development, including prospect identification, and shaping and delivering pitches and proposals to corporate partners to meet fundraising targets.  As we grow, the work will be divided across high quality stewardship of existing partners across all sectors, as well as working creatively to identify and develop opportunities to upscale their impact.

· Lead, equip and develop the volunteer youth team, offering spiritual guidance and practical training, ensuring they are well supported to facilitate all that is required of them in the youth ministry and beyond.

· Build good relationships with parents, helping them to understand the work of SPH Youth as well as connect and support each other in discipling their teenagers.

· Ensure SPH youth is a safe space for all young people and team, following up on DBS checks and safeguarding training and policies.

Experience

· Good experience of working with young people, with a demonstration of how they have grown in their discipleship.

· A track record of recruiting and building committed volunteer teams.

· Excellent communication skills to mobilise and encourage youth, volunteers and parents.

· A passion to reach, connect with and disciple young people. Someone who has a strong desire to share the Gospel and see salvation amongst young people in West London.

We are looking for an intern to join the Global Selection Programme (GSP) team on a fixed term three month contract. As the Global Selection Programme Intern, you will be line managed by the GSP Coordinator to help you integrate and collaborate with the Programmes Team and with other key stakeholders. The post holder will play an important role in driving improvements to one of UWC’s key application programmes as it prepares for the 2025/26 academic year.

Citizens Advice Hounslow is a well-established charity operating in the London Borough of Hounslow. • give debt and income maximisation advice, assisting in particular clients who are Thames Water customers;
• tap into Thames Water schemes and support for clients in financial difficulty;
• help clients take positive steps to reduce and manage their debts, acting on their behalf when required;
• evaluate the most suitable debt options and strategies, while maximising incomes;
• negotiate with creditors, including bailiffs, landlords and the Council tax Office, to prevent further action and charges;
• help clients avert possession action for rent and mortgage arrears.

About the role:
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Old Street and in co-location at Northwick Park Hospital. As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety and reduce harm
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
• Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital
• Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key

This role offers hybrid working with a minimum 1 day per week in our Victim Support Office based at Whitecross Studios, homeworking and regular travel to meet clients and attend meetings. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate of domestic abuse you will:

• implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm
• provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through procedures and protocols to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse

• a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.

• knowledge of safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• experience of direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Manager to join the Greater London Region at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. 

You will be part of the regional office team, managing two Regional Casework Co-ordinators, which will provide specialist administrative and single point of contact support to SSAFA branch-based volunteers, to ensure a consistent, timely and quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries.  The role will require you to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers.  At times, the role will require support to the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and the triage of initial enquiries from clients. 

To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.  You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working in a close team and line managed by the Regional Operations Manager. 

The post is home-based, but you will have to travel occasionally into London. 

About the team 

The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports three SSAFA branches in the Greater London region, as the volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries.  The successful candidate will work as part of a support team which includes two Regional Casework Co-ordinators and a Regional Operations Manager.  All team members are home based.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will have a good standard of education, experience of managing employees, together with managing and reporting on service delivery.  You will have a track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, together with achieving results through negotiation and influence.  Previous experience of working with volunteers would be an asset.  You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of quickly learning a computerised case management system and be proficient with numbers.  The successful candidate will have experience of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision. 

It would be advantageous to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector would be valuable, and the military charity sector landscape across London would be helpful.  Commitment to SSAFA’s values including equality, diversity and inclusion is vital.
