Job description

The Role

This is a great time to join GamCare as we are growing and developing the reach of our services.

To support this growth, we’re recruiting a Team Leader for our East Midlands regional service, supporting people affected by gambling. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is passionate about leading and supporting staff, enjoys both operational planning and delivering services and developing and innovating to ensure continuous improvement and learning.

Working as part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for assisting the delivery of an effective and responsive service across the East Midlands region, supporting people who are impacted by gambling.

You will assist with the day-to-day activities of the service, and contribute to performance improvements, development of partnerships, engagement activity and business growth. The role also involves performance monitoring and reporting, as well as assisting with delivery against contractual and financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to a team of Gambling Support Practitioners to ensure safe and effective interventions in support of those affected by gambling harms
  • Manage practitioners for their performance improvement and professional development
  • Assist the Service Manager with strategic decision making based on an operational understanding of service development needs
  • Use service data to monitor, improve and develop the service
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance and improve service delivery, increasing the access of support to those disproportionately affected by gambling but underrepresented in engaged support
  • Support and develop Lived Experience involvement in service delivery and development

About You

With strong leadership and people management skills, you will be someone who takes pride in being a compassionate leader who supports individuals in their professional development and manages high standards in the performance and quality of the service provided.

You will have a keen determination to grow, develop and continually improve the service for those in need of our support, bringing the team with you to harness the collective strengths and talents of individuals.

Using your excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships, you will seek opportunities to grow and develop the reach and impact of the service across a wide range of external stakeholders and communities across the East Midlands.

Please note this role is subject to a DBS check
