Job description

Reporting To:         Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business)

About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Started in 2016, its vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. In 2024 our workforce of over 200 staff and 13,000 volunteers collected and distributed the equivalent of 38 million meals to Londoners in need. This is done through a network of 1,200 community organisations and schools who are working on the frontline to feed people who are experiencing hunger and cannot afford to regularly buy the food they need. The Felix Project works with hundreds of suppliers from across the food industry, including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms and restaurants to rescue high quality surplus food, that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste.

In London, one in four working families regularly struggle to afford to feed their children, equating to an estimated 325,000 families across the capital. The cost of food has increased by 30% in the past three years and one in eight working families have less than £3 a day for food, after paying their bills. About 20% of working families have been forced to access a food support service for the first time during 2024 due to the rising cost of living.

Our work has never been more needed, and demand continues to grow we are building our expertise and impact in response. The Felix Project now operates from four main depots in North, South, East, and West London, with ‘point-to-point’ projects in Central London and Canary Wharf. Felix’s Kitchen in our East London depot produces up to 5,000 meals per day from surplus food. Felix’s Multibank in West London distributes non-food items to those who need it most. As part of the charity’s involvement with The Coronation Food Project, we are launching an innovative food processing lab – The Felix Food Factory.

Purpose of the Job

The Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) will play a pivotal role in driving growth within The Felix Project’s renowned Corporate Partnerships Team. As part of the organisation’s strategic expansion, the Corporate Team is set to raise £7.5 million in 2025. To support this ambition, the team is undergoing a structural transformation, separating new business development from account management. We are seeking a strategic, results-driven new business specialist who can leverage The Felix Project’s strong reputation for corporate partnerships to secure significant income from the private sector.

As part of the Income Generation Team, which is responsible for raising £17.9 million in 2025, the role will require collaboration across multiple income streams, including Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors, Individual Giving, Challenge Events, and Community Fundraising. Effective cross-team coordination will be essential to ensure the successful management, stewardship, and long-term sustainability of corporate partnerships.

Additionally, the post-holder will build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, engaging with key internal stakeholders such as the CEO and Trustees to identify and cultivate funding opportunities. The role may require evening and weekend work to attend networking or corporate partner event and to support fundraising events such as the London Marathon.

Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) Responsibilities:

  • Secure High-Value, Multi-Year Partnerships – Proactively identify and secure six-figure, multi-year corporate partnerships across various industries.
  • Expand Corporate Partnerships Pipeline – Develop and drive multiple income streams, including strategic partnerships, corporate foundations, grants, commercial opportunities, sponsorships, and social value initiatives.
  • Develop and Pitch New Business Propositions – Create compelling fundraising initiatives and business cases to attract new corporate partners.

  • Manage Inbound Partnership Opportunities – Respond to and convert corporate interest, particularly in corporate volunteering, into long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic Collaboration & Fundraising Implementation – Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement corporate fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with KPIs and organizational goals.
  • Support Strategic Partner Development – Assist the Senior Partnerships Manager and Head of Corporate Partnerships in developing key corporate relationships for sustainable income growth.
  • Financial Oversight & Budgeting – Assist in forecasting budgets, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accurate income reporting in collaboration with the Finance Team.
  • Maintain & Track Partnerships Data – Keep up-to-date records of funding partnerships, ensuring a structured cultivation cycle aligned with team processes.
  • Ensure Compliance & Best Practices – Adhere to GDPR, fundraising regulations, and relevant legislation while maintaining ethical fundraising practices.
  • Collaborate on Partner Onboarding – Work with the Account Management team to ensure a smooth transition for new corporate partners.
  • Contribute to Corporate Income Targets – Play an active role in achieving the team’s annual corporate income goals.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Track Record – Experience in securing high-value corporate partnerships in a new business focused role (at a minimum, six figure, multi-year partnerships).
  • New Business Development – Strong ability to research, identify, and secure new corporate funding opportunities both restricted and unrestricted income.
  • Proposal & Pitching Expertise – Skilled in developing compelling business cases, proposals, grant applications and presentations.
  • Relationship Management – Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate stakeholders. A natural networker that can seek out opportunity in every room.
  • Strategic Thinking – Ability to create strategic and purposeful partnerships outside of the traditional corporate fundraising models of charity of the year etc.
