We are seeking a strategic and collaborative digital leader to help deliver a bold new data system for Scotland’s nature.

About the Role

The Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) is the professional home for archaeologists in the UK and overseas. About the role:

As a Triage & early Intervention worker you will be:

• Making initial contact assessing and providing information to victims/survivors.
• Providing any immediate safety and support needs for the victims/and their children(s) including safeguarding when required.

You will need to:

• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.

• Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Understand the needs of victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
• Understand the effects of trauma and the importance of trauma informed practice.

In this role you will lead the CB&S team in the development, design and delivery of impactful and sustainable capacity building and standards setting programmes and projects. You will oversee the work of the function and quality direct work of around 10 people (both CB&S team and cross-function roles). You will be a member of our management team, be accountable for the function achieving its objectives, report on function performance to the board and oversee the implementation of our impact framework supported by the impact working group.

We work across the UK, with offices in Belfast and London. Many of our staff work from home across the UK or in a hybrid pattern, rather than being based at one of our offices, though we meet up regularly as a team

We're recruiting for someone to lead our public engagement work on climate and nature and ensure that the public are involved in critical decisions on how to reach net zero and protect the future of nature and land in the UK.

Climate change is one of those big challenges and is a policy area where citizen engagement on both principles and practice is vital.  It, and Net Zero in particular, risk becoming a polarised and politicised issue where there is little room for considered, inclusive decision making. 

This exciting role will lead and coordinate our work with institutions, and others, to find a way through difficult issues like low emission zones, the energy transition, industrialisation of green spaces and other challenges in a way that centres the people who are impacted, with a social justice and equity lens. This role will primarily sit within our Innovation and Practice (I&P) function - focused on practical delivery of public engagement such as citizen assemblies, juries and other deliberative processes. The successful candidate will lead several of our major climate change and nature projects, including the UKRI Net Zero Living project - working with 28 Councils to embed meaningful public participation in their route to net zero. You will also contribute to the training, standards setting and advocacy work that Involve does - maintaining and growing our reputation in climate and environment networks and communicating the contribution we can make and impact that we are having.

We have a significant track record in public deliberation on climate change. We ran the first Climate Assembly in the UK and have since delivered many projects in this area including the People’s Plan for Nature. We have developed a reputation for best practice public dialogue, deliberation and capacity building. We want to grasp the opportunity for deliberative practices to make a real contribution to the change needed to respond to the climate crisis. This is a great opportunity to play a central role in taking this work forward. We are looking for someone to bring experience in designing and running participatory and deliberative processes and a good understanding of the complexities and challenges of climate and/or nature. You will need to be committed to taking a collaborative approach -  co-creating and coordinating our strategy on public engagement across the organisation and build on the work that others are doing.

As part of Midland Air Ambulance Charity’s (MAAC) corporate team, the Corporate Partnership Executive is responsible for taking a proactive approach to raising the profile of the charity and deepening relationships with businesses in the communities we serve.

You will provide support to the Senior Partnership Executive and the wider team helping to implement the corporate fundraising strategy via in person and online engagement methods, leading on activity within Staffordshire.

Your focus will be to ensure income growth from corporate sources and activity comprising of new business development, account management and affinity partnerships.  As a longstanding charity, we have established networks in place, however alongside this the post holder will need to innovate and develop new ways of working in line with the ever-changing external environment (i.e., global/national trends, corporate best practise such as CSR and ESG) as well as in response to opportunities and challenges happening in the south of our region.

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. Working alongside the Conservation Projects Manager, the post holder will ensure regional estate compliance with CCT policies.

The post holder will be the main contact for all maintenance related matters and will maintain the property management records for the estate, develop volunteer projects and training on maintenance reporting and conservation cleaning and will assist with fundraising.

About the role:

On the back of continued growth due to successful fundraising performance over the last 5 years, we are ready to take the next step in our fundraising strategy and launch a Philanthropy Giving programme. You will bring expertise and skills in this field to support the fundraising team and build on the already strong stewardship and engagement we have with key individuals.

An experienced fundraiser or business development professional, you will relish the opportunity to own and launch the strategy and implement a long-term engagement plan to strengthen High Value relationships that will deliver a new and sustainable income stream.

The role is new and on an initial fixed term contract of 12 months but with the potential to make the role permanent if the strategy succeeds.

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum 0.8 FTE

About you:

You're likely to be a seasoned philanthropy professional, ideally with a track record securing gifts.

You will be comfortable in working closely with a Senior Leadership team and Board.

With an understanding of philanthropy and what makes major donors tick, you will also have the appetite and aptitude to develop new relationships from scratch.

The role will be a good mix of stewarding existing relationships and building brand-new ones. Therefore, you will need to be comfortable and confident researching and developing new contacts, harnessing the potential of existing networks and working closely with the wider organisation.

A key part to the role will be to deliver engagement activities, therefore event planning and project management skills are important.
