About the role
As a Chapter Member at the National Deaf Children's Society, you'll be in a Chapter of like-minded and skilled specialists, experts, and emerging experts. Chapters are self-organising, and every member has a vital role to play, sharing their skills, knowledge and experience and learning and developing together. Led by the Chapter Lead all Chapter Members will value and respect each other's contribution and learn and develop collaboratively.
This role will design, implement and manage systems to ensure that fundraising and marketing activity is of a high quality, complies with relevant legislation and sector codes and is consistent with National Deaf Children’s Society policies.
You will carry out a programme of detailed quality assurance activity and monitoring to identify areas where improvements can be made and provide fundraising teams with recommended actions. This work has a particular focus on the management of telemarketing and face to face recruitment.
You will prepare reports for internal teams and stakeholders and provide support and guidance to fundraising staff in relation to compliance and what is required of them.
You will network effectively with peers across the sector and engage with external regulatory and sector bodies, such as the Fundraising Regulator, the CIOF, the DMA and the ICO, to ensure that the organisation is aware of all relevant developments and our views and priorities are taken into consideration; actively participating in sector consultations, meetings and working groups as appropriate.
Occasional travel will be required to shadow and monitor compliance training and to support our fundraising agencies.
What might a day in the life look like?
- Take ownership of and manage our internal Call Monitoring process – selecting and allocating calls from our agencies and listening to the majority to recognise any potential issues or trends that may arise.
- To follow up any feedback with the agencies and ensure they are compliant with fundraising code of practice.
- Updating and monitoring the site lists on our websites to ensure our supporters know where we are.
- Attend monthly and ad-hoc compliance forums and engage with external bodies to ensure we are maintaining standards across the sector. A chance to network with peers and even offer insight into our best practise.
- Quarterly due diligence checks with our agencies, along with monitoring of job adverts and contracts to ensure compliance.
- To manage and monitor our Mystery Shopping programme – engaging with the agencies regarding feedback and follow up, and approving invoices.
- A monthly compliance tracker to be shared internally so we know our key areas of focus.
- Management of our fundraising shadowing programme, with the occasional visits to our agencies for compliance training, feedback and shadowing.
- To help the organisation to deliver excellent standards of supporter care by providing cover for the team where necessary.
- To identify compliance issues which require follow-up or investigation and to conduct or direct any internal investigation.
- To conduct periodic audits (including National Deaf Children’s Society’s fundraising suppliers) to ensure that compliance procedures are followed and that compliance systems are effective.

About the role

As the Governance and Executive Officer, you will work closely with the CEO and Director of Corporate Services, providing strategic analysis, coordination, and executive support to ensure smooth and efficient internal operations.

The hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts.
This is a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours a week) position paying a salary of £28,422.60 - £34,266.04 FTE depending on experience. The role is based at their site in Thurrock, Essex.
The Supporter Data Officer (Selections and Insight) will work to deliver the hospice’s supporter data and income operations strategy and annual delivery plans with a focus on data selections and insight. You will build and run requested and approved data selections for supporter communications and fundraising activities, working closely with the requester and ensuring data is methodically checked for accuracy and completeness before providing final data files in appropriate formats.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a data-focussed role, including experience of using a CRM database following established processes and procedures. They are looking for someone with proven experience of building marketing data selections with good knowledge and understanding of data protection legislation.

About the Role
As Marketing Manager (Digital Acquisition), you will plan and deliver digital campaigns across paid channels to build consideration, prompt action, and drive income through acquiring new donors.
You will manage end-to-end paid social campaigns in-house and partner with our media agency on other paid digital channels such as PPC and Performance Max. By identifying key audiences and inspiring action, you will play a crucial role in growing our supporter base.
In this role, you will:
- Plan and execute digital acquisition programmes to achieve ambitious donor acquisition and income targets
- Oversee the delivery of paid social campaigns, using test-and-learn strategies and data integration to optimise performance
- Collaborate with the Marketing Executive and media agency partners to align digital channels with broader marketing plans

- Develop creative testing strategies and work with teams to inspire audience engagement
- Manage budgets, ensuring efficient planning, reporting, and re-forecasting

About You
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Strong experience in acquisition/performance digital marketing, using audience insights to drive direct-response activity

- Experience working with digital media channels such as PPC, display, and YouTube, either directly or through agencies
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver them on time and within budget

We’re looking for a creative digital communicator who will enable Digital mission across the District.
This role is perfect for someone with passion for digital evangelism, discipleship and Christian community. It will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a team to encourage the Circuits and churches within the Northampton Methodist District to engage in the Mission of God Online.
· In partnership with the District Mission Team, develop digital resources for the District’s New Places For New People-FEAST (friends exploring and sharing together)
· Be at the forefront in developing a digital resources suite tailored to the priorities of the Mission Development Plan to aid the Circuits and Churches in their mission.
· To assist Circuits and worshipping communities with their missional strategy in upskilling and training digital leaders across the District.

· Lead the social media across the District’s social platforms- planning, curating, and scheduling regular content for all social media channels.

Based in our Advocacy and Campaigns team the Senior Policy Officer will be responsible for delivering our Social Mobility Employer Index and support the development of our wider policy positions and campaigns work.
Growing the influence and impact of the Index is a key strategic priority within ambition two, and this role will help achieve that by ensuring we continue to develop our knowledge and to influence and improve employer-led social mobility. You’ll be responsible for project managing and delivering core components of the Index including the marking, design and delivery of the survey, which we use to gather employer data and the feedback reports, which we share with entrants. You’ll ensure the documents evolve with best practice and in line with our work with young people. Working with others you’ll deliver the annual key findings report, ultimately helping improve employer led social mobility in the UK.
Alongside the Index you’ll play a key role in developing policy positions for our political influencing campaigns. You’ll support our internal knowledge hub, drawing insights from our Aspiring Professionals Programme, wider research and focus groups with our young people and share external developments to ensure we have robust, youth-led positions. You’ll analyse evidence and help carve out our unique point of view on how we can improve social mobility in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the project management and delivery of the Index including development of policy positions and best practice, questionnaire design, employer feedback reports.
- Lead the annual review of the Index assessing the impact it’s had on driving employer behaviour and update our measurement and evaluation metrics accordingly.
- Ensure documents are reviewed annually and updated to reflect the latest best practice and insights from our wider interventions.
- Co-ordinate the different individuals and teams working across the Index to deliver the annual key findings report.
- Utilising our political monitoring service and our relations with employers, stay across updates from key stakeholders such as the Social Mobility Commission, the wider sector and employer research, utilising these insights to update our policy positions and develop our advice to employers.
- Undertake rapid scans of various types of data and evidence; produce summaries of the main findings and implications for policy and generate ideas for further policy opportunities.
- Present findings internally and support fundraising colleagues with the insights, tools, and knowledge to develop new products that can influence employer behaviour.
- Create resources for the wider organisation to ensure our evidence base and policy positions are understood, up to date and consistently used across teams.
- Attend relevant conferences, stakeholder meetings and gather intelligence, raising our profile and influencing where appropriate.
- Support the Campaigns Officer (media) and Campaigns Officer (public affairs) with the insights required for political and media interventions. E.g. briefing MPs and creating briefing materials for media interviews.

Essential skills and experience
