Art Fund is the UK’s national fundraising charity for art. We give grants to help museums, galleries, historic houses and public arts organisations to acquire objects for their collections, to share them with as many people as possible, and to support research and training for museum professionals. We are supported by our growing membership of 135,000 through the National Art Pass, as well as the generosity of many individuals, trusts and foundations.

The role

This is an important post for the organisation and as the Qualified Management Accountant you will be responsible for leading the management accounting and financial planning of the charity. The role involves working across the organisation, requiring strong interpersonal skills, to deliver first class management information.

• This is an impactful and broad role, but to give an idea of focus, the core areas of delivery will include:
• Owning month-end processes including complex reconciliations such as membership income
• Produce insightful monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
• Lead and prepare quarterly reforecasts
• Provide support and challenge to budget holders
• Lead, with the head of finance, the annual budget process and preparation
• Prepare year-end reconciliations and support with audit
• Be the finance representative on the CRM implementation team (implementation due in 2025) and work closely with the Finance Manager on a potential change in the finance system post the 2025 audit

 Main Purpose of the Role

Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.

Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day financial processing, management and reporting; and, with the CEO, for providing medium and long-term financial planning and analysis in support of the growth strategy. The role will involve responsibility for systems’ maintenance and development, business process improvements and building/facilities management of the offices at No.1 Buckingham Place, Victoria SW1.

The role will include (but not limited to):

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity also funds a range of projects across the UK, providing innovative services within healthcare, legal advice and mental health support to facilitate a long-term transition out of homelessness.  The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate and support their diverse programmes. 
 
The Trust & Foundations Development Manager will play a key role in enabling the optimisation of the Charity’s net income from UK and global Trusts, Foundations and Lottery funding sources. This will enable the funding of the Charity’s key projects and programmes in the lead up to and beyond the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026, directly impacting the lives of those at risk of and experiencing homelessness. 
The post holder will also ensure the highest quality of stewardship and donor care are maintained to drive committed partnerships. Key duties include: 

• Work with the Head of Leadership Giving to further develop the Charity’s Trust and Foundations fundraising strategy, maximising sustainable net income from both general and restricted Trust and Foundation funding sources, and capitalising on opportunities afforded by the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal in 2026. 

• Acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s values and programmes, working collaboratively across the Charity to create bespoke donor materials and cases for support that interest, engage and motivate to give. 

• Develop a pipeline of new funding opportunities from both UK and global Trusts and Foundations, whilst developing relationships with existing funders. 

• Take a lead role in the management of successful grant applications to ensure that reports to funders are delivered in a timely and effective manner, reviewing narrative and financial reports to ensure donor requirements have been met, and consulting with and ensuring input from relevant technical and financial staff. 

• Collaborating with the Head of Leadership Giving to ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively. 

 
We’re looking for the following skills and experience for this role: 
  

• Substantial experience of identifying, negotiating and securing significant new partnerships from large scale Trusts and Foundations based in the UK and globally. 

• Excellent track record of developing existing Trust and Foundation partnerships through excellent account management techniques. 

• Experience of developing compelling audience focused cases for support to drive engagement and long-term value from Trusts & Foundations, Lottery and where appropriate, Institutional funding sources. 

• Proven experience working with senior volunteers, influencers or advisers to achieve Trust and Foundation fundraising success either in peer-led fundraising (such as development boards) or peer-peer fundraising (such as giving networks) or by working in partnership with senior stakeholders on individual approaches.

This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, the post holder will be embedded within district borough housing teams to facilitate dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The housing advocate will be collocated within the council offices of their designated area to help facilitate:

• Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
• Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
• Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
• Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation

This recognizes that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.

The housing advocate will carry a caseload of survivors that require additional support. They will work closely with survivors of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy around housing needs.They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and individual safety support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

Co-located housing advocacy is another form of community-based specialist domestic abuse advocacy support that focuses on victim/survivors’ self-identified needs, rather than needs defined by the service and any pre-defined actions the agency thinks victim/survivors should take. The work is undertaken with the victim/survivor around their individual needs and for a period dictated by need, not targets.

Hybrid working

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. As Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships you will focus on major donor, mid value and corporate fundraising. You will lead the team to develop new and existing relationships with individuals/partners who are able to contribute significant funds to the organisation, while working closely with the Head of Institutional Giving & Partnerships to identify audience crossover and maximise the potential of high value fundraising opportunities. 

This role will lead the team in fostering a relationship-led approach to fundraising, strategising for major donor and corporate fundraising whilst remaining operationally hands on and networking/influencing to establish new connections and opportunities for the organisation. As part of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT), you will also feed into organisational strategy and leadership, ensuring all work is delivered in line with Mary's Meals values. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the philanthropic and corporate fundraising strategies, working alongside the Head of Institutional Giving & Partnerships to develop an overarching departmental strategy that allows for close collaboration;
• Proactively identify new prospects/supporters, securing mid/major donor support and corporate income in line with team income targets;
• Foster a culture of relationship-led fundraising, focused on stewardship and retention of existing donors that allows for long-term, increasing levels of support;
• Provide strategic leadership to the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team (4), supporting professional development and a culture of learning/collaboration.

• Demonstrable expertise of relationship-led fundraising, personally securing major donor and/or corporate partnerships, with a focus on high value, long term support;

About the Role:

As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advisor you will be supporting victims of domestic abuse. This is a key role at the hospitals working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support. As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support & advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support
• Advocating on behalf of service users to help them access services to keep them safe
• Working within a multi-agency framework to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse
• Delivering training to hospital staff & local partner agencies

You will need:

• Knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse
• An understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
• Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Experience of direct service delivery to vulnerable people
• Good communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

Join our talented multi-disciplinary college team as a Learning Support Assistant in North London. Come and support our students aged 16 - 25 with learning differences, with their learning, work experience, personal growth and independence.  

We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability skills. You will support our students to participate fully at the Harington Scheme’s training centres in Highgate and Hornsey or on work experience. There will also be opportunities to support with enrichment, mentoring and group activities.  We promote high standards of welfare, self-care and independent living skills for the individuals we support.  
 

About you  
  
We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with patience and understanding to work with students to give them maximum choice and independence. You must have previous experience working with learners with learning disabilities, ideally within a classroom setting. 

You should have literacy and numeracy skills with at least grade 4 in GCSE Maths & English.   

You may also be a keen gardener, have experience in retail or experience of supporting people into employment.

Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college based in north London, working with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living.  We also deliver a supported internship programme.   

Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. We also work with other employers to provide opportunities in other settings to meet the aspirations of our students.  

Our larger Highgate training centre is located in beautiful grounds, with a 1.8 acre horticulture site where we grow vegetables and flowers to sell at local markets.

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.

Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.

Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.

• Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
• Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services

• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:

• Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
• Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
• Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs
