About the role:
Working under the direction of the Service Manager you will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing and co-ordinating recovery-focused activities. You will work with SHP colleagues, partnership agencies and those using the services to ensure the programme meets the latter’s needs. You will be responsible for delivering elements of the programme, in addition to supporting staff members, volunteers, students, clients and peers to facilitate groups and activities.
About you:
- Experience of developing, facilitating and coordinating groups and activities (including supporting others to do so too), with a demonstrable understanding of group dynamics.
- Experience of developing and maintaining positive partnership relationships with a range of internal and external services.
- Demonstrable understanding of engaging and motivating people who experience multiple disadvantages, with an awareness of the issues that may make this process challenging.

You will also handle all accounts payable activities and support year-end preparation of statutory accounts and monthly management accounts.
This role will suit a proactive candidate with Treasury and Finance operations experience in a similar sized, complex organisation.
This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. Our linked office for this role is in London and you would be expected to attend the office around once a month for team days and more often if necessary.
The salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours. Full time at Age UK, constitutes as 35 hours per week. This position is 21 hours per week across 3 days. Wednesday afternoon is mandatory however we can be flexible on the other days/hours.

Our Gambling Outreach And Living Support service GOALS is our community-based support service that provides bespoke and holistic 1:1 and group support to individuals and affected other impacted by gambling harms.
Our aim is to deliver an impactful GOALS service across London which builds effective networks of support for people before, during and after treatment.
A main aspect of the role will be to support and work closely with individuals presenting with lived experience of gambling harm issues and/or people affected by this issue. The GOALS Supporter will understand gambling related harm and dependency issues and be able to ensure safe working environments and take a robust lead on safeguarding and harm minimisation procedures and policy.
The post holder will work with the Head of Support Services and GOALS Coordinator to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are systematic and develop a clear understanding of how the service integrates with the national gambling treatment service.
Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.
The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, deliver presentations and other promotions within community, education and health centres to help grow and develop the service.

The charity is 9 years old, and initially started its work in Blackpool, the community facing the highest multiple deprivation in the country, before starting to scale. After slow and steady growth in our early years, a combination of our reputation, growing evidence, and the increased demand for place based change has seen our rate of growth rising in recent years. We are taking a “quality first” approach to scaling our delivery work, as we cannot let down any of our communities through scaling beyond our capability.
In order to support the increasing level of demand for our work, over the next five years, the fundraising team will embark on an ambitious growth strategy – as we look to grow our income £8 million this year to £20 million by 2029, increasing the breadth, depth and number of communities that we serve.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in designing, developing and leading the delivery of our fundraising strategy to ensure that children and young people have the best start in life. They will be responsible for a broad range of income streams with a particular focus on growth across high net worth individuals, individual giving, corporate and digital whilst continuing to effectively maintain and build upon our strong funder base in trusts, foundations, philanthropy and statutory support. They will also directly oversee the wider fundraising team which currently includes the fundraising manager and fundraising officer roles.
Key Responsibilities

Overseeing the successful design, development and implementation of Right to Succeed’s 5 year fundraising strategy.

Leading, inspiring, developing and managing the charity’s fundraising team, taking overall responsibility for achieving fundraising targets for the organisation.

About the role
Working closely across the small team at SIDA, this post offers an exciting opportunity to support and coordinate knowledge-exchange communities of practice across a network of actors on global sustainable development in Scotland, including members from public and private sectors, academia and civil society. The role will support our members to contribute effectively to global, sustainable development by developing learning opportunities, tools, and resources based on members’ needs, as well as on key developments across the sector.
The postholder will lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of SIDA’s programme of learning activities for members including workshops, peer learning events, mentoring, webinars and other events on key topics of interest to the sector. The jobholder will be expected to support other events hosted by SIDA such as the annual conference when needed and to generally support the team deliver against the strategic objectives.
