Our client, a Performing Arts organisation, are looking for a Systems Administrator. This role is brand new for the the company.
The system administrator role is responsible for managing and maintaining the server and network infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. The role involves administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure services alongside local and cloud-based network devices. This includes supporting IT operations and also projects developing systems and services to support the Sadler’s Wells group. The post reports to the Head of IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert-level technical support
Including design, troubleshooting, and architecture skills in support of Sadler’s Wells and their systems.
- Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Server
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and the virtualised server infrastructure on-premise and in the cloud, including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions. Monitor and optimize server performance and resource utilization and troubleshoot system-related issues and failures. - Administer and maintain Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows-related services.
Create and manage AD user accounts, groups, and security policies and implement and enforce Group Policy settings to manage user and device configurations. - Implement and manage Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, Azure AD, and hybrid cloud integrations.
To manage Azure Virtual Machines and cloud-based workloads and integrations with cloud-based solutions. To administer Azure Active Directory for identity and access management and associated MFA and privileged access management security solutions. Integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure and other federated services in a secure and resilient manner. - Proactively maintain systems, including security updates, patches, system backups and agreed business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
Ensure timely application of security updates and system patches, perform regular system and data backups to prevent data loss, and implement disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and the loss of availability to systems, services, and information. Proactively monitoring capacity and planning solutions to meet the changing demands of the business. - To develop automation and insight solutions driving efficiency for Sadler’s Wells.
Developing the organisation’s efficiency and use of data to drive informed decisions. Leading on the implementation of Microsoft solutions such as power automate an power BI / Microsoft Fabric. - Maximising the investment in existing solutions
Driving value from the existing services and licenses in place, including the Microsoft E3 license. - Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements and privacy
To proactively implement and develop security best practices to protect IT infrastructure. Performing audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Maintain system logs and documentation for compliance reporting. Supporting the groups PCI-DSS and GDPR compliance. - Leading on the implementation and management of CyberSecurity controls
Including compliance and a standards-based approach to systems implementation and management. Working to develop and maintain the CyberSecurity documentation, including appropriate procedures, standards and guidelines. - Providing support for escalated IT issues
Assisting the end user computing team in resolving complex technical issues, helping to develop the skills and abilities of other team members, working collaboratively within the team, with other parts of the organisation and with vendors and external support teams as needed. - Working flexibly, outside of core hours and as part of a support rota as required
Providing incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery support as part of the on-call rota. Working as needed to provide proactive maintenance at dates and times that minimise disruption to Sadler’s Wells business operations. - Develop and maintain system documentation.
Create detailed documentation for system configurations and processes. Maintain up-to-date records of IT assets and configurations. Participate in change and configuration management processes. Developing knowledge base articles and training materials for other colleagues and members of the data and systems team IT staff.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Networking skills at a level commensurate with a Cisco CCNP and System support skills equivalent to an MCSE.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022).
- Expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD and virtual machines.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Power Automate.
- Understanding of networking systems, including TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Experience of supporting identity and access management solutions.
- Knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks, including PCI-DSS and GDPR.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate ideas into effective action speedily and within a finite budget.
- Ability to work collaboratively and bring teams together into a cohesive and effective unit.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Convincing presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders.

- Must currently hold the right to work in the United Kingdom
Additional
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, MCSA, or MCSE.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and integration.
- Experience with Endpoint Management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune).
- Relevant project management qualification or equivalent
- Sectoral experience is desirable though not essential

Role Summary

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a faith-based humanitarian relief and development organisation working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. IRW’s International Programmes Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Faith Partnership Advisor (FPA)’ on a permanent, full time basis, to join its dynamic team based out of its offices in either Birmingham, London or where IR has an office globally. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working policy.
The purpose of the role:
The Faith Partnership Advisor will play a critical role within International Programmes Division (IPD) supporting the Divisions’ strategic objectives to consolidate its identity as an Islamic faith-based institution, leading our Faith Engagement Strategy, representing our approach to important multi-lateral and other institutions, ensuring the faith sensitivity and faith literacy of its programmes and securing funding for its global operations. The role will sit within the Programme Funding and Partnership Department (PFPD) within the IPD.
Building upon our many programme partnerships with other faith-based and non-faith-based actors, this role will forge new partnerships that build on the inspiring work we have developed in the areas of livelihoods, peacebuilding, forced migration, protection and gender justice. Working with major institutional donors, the Faith Partnership Advisor will form part of a collaborative team and manage the bid process from inception to submission on new programme initiatives. Specifically, the Faith Partnership Adviser will capitalise on the organisation’s faith-based approach to development. The Faith Partnership Advisor is expected to have extensive experience preparing bids which have a faith dimension to them, centred on the added value of Islamic Relief as a faith-based organisation and the industry’s need to have faith centric development and humanitarian approaches.
The successful candidate must have:
- A graduate degree or equivalent experience in development/humanitarian areas
- An in-depth understanding of international development issues
- An exceptional understanding of the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic teaching, particularly pertaining to aid and development issues
- An awareness of the various funding mechanism that are available within the industry
- Exceptional command of English with the ability to edit, summarise and compile information quickly and often within short time frames
- An ability to speak publicly and communicate confidently within groups
- An ability to lead working groups and plan strategically
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and being versed with PowerPoint and Excel
- Track record of working in a similar role with an International NGO essential
- Proven ability to secure funding for Faith Partnerships
- Must have substantial experience of having worked on successful bids/partnerships which have a faith dimension
- Well versed and with proven capabilities of understanding the faith dimension of international development and humanitarian interventions.
- Demonstrated experience of working on multiple bids with various institutional donors
- Ability to work extensively with a team and or on their own
- Knowledge of the key critical areas impacting the international development sector, including awareness of SDGs, faith-based initiatives, CHS, Humanitarian principles etc.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Marketing, the PR and Comms Manager will be the storyteller for all things Enable!
They will execute a yearly PR plan for Enable’s charitable missions, as well as provide PR support for Enable’s varied service areas, including Events, Leisure, Putney School of Art and Design, Bereavement and many more. They will be responsible for Enable’s image externally as well as internally and responsible for holding the relationship with our key stakeholders. The role also involves supporting the preparation and writing of bids for new contracts to secure funding and expand our services.
This is the perfect role for a confident, outgoing and motivated person – and has a love for crafting stories using different media platforms, supporting and strategising charitable missions and communicating Enable’s mission, values and achievements internally and externally.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
PR
- Develop and manage integrated PR campaigns around key company products and moments.
- Write campaign plans, messaging, and create media-facing materials for Enable as a non-profit company, as long as individual service areas.
- Create compelling storytelling content to showcase the impact of our work through various platforms (Linkedin, Instagram)
- Build relationships with key media outlets and secure coverage.
- Be a point of contact for key media enquiries.
- Provide counsel to internal executives on PR challenges and opportunities.
Campaign Strategy
- Develop and execute a communications strategy to raise awareness of our Health and Wellbeing programs and Community Initiatives.
- Analyse communication campaign performance and refine strategies as needed.
- Support the development and writing of persuasive bids and funding proposals for new contracts and grants.
- Collaborate with program leads to gather data, case studies, and evidence to strengthen funding applications.
Communications – External and internal
- Managing the relationship with key stakeholders (for example Wandsworth Council), including chairing meetings, regular feedback and reporting.
- Lead on monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to key stakeholders and partners. Including Enable’s quarterly activity reports and yearly Impact Report.
- Supporting junior members of staff and providing strategic PR and communication support.
- Occasional weekend work at some of our events will be required.
Skills and Experience:
- 3 + years experience in a Public Relations, Communications or Marketing role
- Strong PR campaign management skills to develop and execute integrated campaigns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence to engage with and present to various internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing and storytelling abilities for crafting compelling narratives and media-facing materials
- Media relations expertise to build connections with journalists and secure coverage
- Strategic thinking to develop and refine communication campaigns that align with company goals

We are looking for a HR and OD Manager to enhance the Students Union’s provision of Organisational Development as well as provide high quality advice to managers on a range of HR policies, procedures and HR best practice.
