This role aims to develop and secure a diverse range of funding streams in order to deliver our ambitious fundraising growth plans over the next 3 years.
 
In this role, you’ll work with the Head of Fundraising and Comms to grow our income from Trusts, Foundations and corporate partnerships to ensure the long-term stability of the charity, helping us to deliver support to as many LGBT victims and survivors of abuse as possible. ●Management of the new business pipeline and new business approaches, developing leads and identifying prospects, engaging them with our work to grow the partnerships portfolio

●Create comprehensive partnership delivery plans including fundraising, communications, finance, impact reporting with partnership key messaging

●   Write and deliver bespoke propositions, proposals and pitches for new business development meeting agreed KPI’s

The Head of High Value Fundraising is responsible for delivering and significantly growing income from Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy and Trusts and Grants. Leading a team of committed fundraisers, you will develop a robust strategy that delivers mutually beneficial partnerships, outstanding supporter relationships and long-term sustainable income.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  

Specific Duties 

Leadership

• To lead and inspire the high value team fostering a collaborative and high culture that delivers against income and objectives
• Provide clear and supportive leadership that motivates staff to achieve, develop and grow in their roles
• Undertake quarterly reviews for all direct reports

High Value Fundraising

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-value donors, ensuring effective solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up to secure significant contributions (six-figure gifts)
• Build and maintain a portfolio of Trust & Grants supporters. Responsible for researching, approaching and developing compelling applications with a focus on ensuring Trusts & Grants provide a long-term, diverse and sustainable income stream
• Lead the development and stewardship of the Philanthropy board to identify and secure transformational (6-7 figure) gifts and the development of the Business development Board to open opportunities with Corporate Partners
• Write and design a compelling case for support that is tailored to our High Value audiences
• Build a portfolio of corporate partners, including securing high-value, multi-year partnerships. You will work with the team to grow this income stream from prospecting, approaches, applications, pitches, stewardship and providing excellent account management
• Lead on planning and delivering successful high value cultivation events

• Represent Winston’s Wish at fundraising events and meetings with internal and external stakeholders

Strategy, Planning and reporting

• To create and implement a strategy including corporate partnerships, trusts & foundations and major donors
• Lead on developing and delivering effective stewardship journeys and cultivation plans
• Produce regular reports on fundraising activity, analysing performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement and growth.
• Work with the Director of Income Generation and the Head of Mass Participation Fundraising to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones
• Undertake research and make use of tools to identify potential High Value partners.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Director of Income Generation, Head of Mass Participation Fundraising, SLT and other teams to maximise high value fundraising opportunities
• Work with the Marketing team to deliver urgent and compelling high value messages tailed for the different audiences
• Work with the Trustees to build networks and increase the reach of Winston’s Wish

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reprieve’s dynamic Development Team to secure vital funding to power our high-impact human rights work. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

The Role

​This post will operate at a national level alongside similar posts in the rail industry. It will seek to develop ties with all train operator and Network Rail communications team and will play a key role in delivering Samaritans messages at a national level.

This position will work across both the Network Rail Partnership team and the External Affairs team in order to provide dedicated focus, resource and specialist expertise – providing a conduit for these skills and colleagues in the rail sector.

Skills and experience you’ll need

In this role, you’ll need experience of working in a press office, PR agency, or similar role within a wider communications team or media outlet, having developed excellent communication and written skills, along with a good working knowledge of UK media landscape, a strong news sense and experience selling-in.

Working with stakeholders across the rail industry, you’ll have experience of influencing, negotiating and, ideally, partnership working. Warm, personable and friendly, you’ll have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with many different groups of people.

Make a Change 

Make a Change is a community-wide, early response approach to people using abusive behaviours (or who are concerned that they might be) towards a current or ex-partner. The model has been developed by Respect in partnership with Women’s Aid Federation England, drawing inspiration from their Change that Lasts approach. It includes three strands: expert support programme for perpetrators with parallel support for survivors, workforce development and community outreach.

Improving the safety, freedom and wellbeing of adult and child survivors of domestic abuse is a key outcome for our work with perpetrators.  The Make a Change model is a multi-partner project offering local areas a framework for delivering perpetrator work. Where feasible, we aim to establish partnerships with local survivor domestic abuse service to deliver parallel support for survivors (referred to as Integrated Support Service) as part the expert support strand.

Purpose of the role: 

The Senior Communications and Policy Officer will work with the Make a Change team at Respect to advance the development of communication and policy activities for the Make a Change model in project sites and nationally to encourage uptake in new areas. They will also work with Respect’s Communications and Influence leads to ensure alignment with the organisation's broader messaging and advocacy efforts, maximising the impact of Make a Change initiatives. The postholder will lead on developing and implementing communication strategies and plans in partnership with our delivery partners across the sites.

We are looking to hire a confident and politically astute public affairs and communications professional to help drive our UK strategy at the intersection of law, climate, nature, and corporate accountability. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of UK and CEO, to shape clear and compelling policy strategies, and engage directly with UK policymakers and the media, connecting our mission to the heart of UK politics.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Andrea Lee, who joined ClientEarth in 2013 and is based in the UK. She has over ten years’ experience of working on sustainability projects and campaigns across the voluntary and public sectors in the UK, Spain and the USA. She first worked on the Healthy Air London community engagement project and now coordinates the national Healthy Air Campaign. Before joining ClientEarth, Andrea worked on sustainable transport behaviour change projects funded by Transport for London, and later at national charity Living Streets.

Main Duties

• Support the Head of UK to develop and implement a UK public affairs and communications plan to meet the strategic needs of the organisation across climate, nature, corporate accountability, the rule of law, and in partnership with communications, digital and programmes teams. 
• Proactively stay abreast of political and media developments and any relevant priority policy developments in the UK and manage reactions to political developments.
• Monitor relevant developments in the UK Parliament, in line with the agreed UK strategy and coordinate and track engagement.
• Develop communications plans for CEO profile on priority communications and policy issues, working with colleagues across the communications team to do so.
• Support senior leaders in the UK to build and maintain relationships in line with the strategic needs of ClientEarth, and in line with the agreed priorities, including with elected officials, political advisers, journalists, civil servants, local leaders and their advisers and other public bodies.

The new Head of Skilled Volunteering will be instrumental in helping us grow our successful existing Skilled Volunteering programme and take it to the next level reaching more SGOs and skilled volunteers building new partnerships, and deepening relationships and support provided across London.

Role Details

Title: Head of Skilled Volunteering

Time Commitment: Full time role (4 days a week may also be considered)

Format: Hybrid - remote and in-person (at least 2 days in the London office (Battersea) in-person per week and ability to travel to different parts of London regularly for meetings and events)

Salary: £34,500 full time salary

Purpose:  To lead and develop Link UP London’s Skilled Volunteering programme to ensure it achieves its ambitious strategic objectives as a core programme of Link UP London

Role Duties & Responsibilities

Programme Management

• Oversee the day-to-day work of the Skilled Volunteering team including implementation plan, workflow and target realisation

• Monitor and report on progress against annual targets and strategic priorities
• Review and improve the Skilled Volunteering process

Relationship Development and Management

Programme Development

• Facilitate focus groups with volunteers and organisations
• Develop and oversee a new SGO Advisory Group
• Actively engage with CEO on developing new approaches to using Skilled Volunteering to make a deeper impact within London communities

Communications, Thought Leadership and Events

• Work with the Comms team to ensure promotion is effective and targeted 
• Innovate ways to get the word out to both volunteers and organisations
• Help build our voice as a thought leader in the field of Skilled Volunteering in the UK
• Write blogs and other pieces to share different aspects of Skilled Volunteering
• Coordinate, as needed, with the Events Manager to carry out Skilled Volunteering related events

Systems and Operations

• Actively oversee our CRM and ensure established processes are working efficiently
• Contribute ideas to improve effectiveness of the Skilled Volunteering process
• Continue to review and improve our data collection and analysis system
• Ensure other technology is being used and integrated as needed to support our work

Person Specification

Essential Skills

• 5+ years’ experience with programme management and delivery aimed at creating positive results
• Experience managing people and small teams
• Comprehensive experience with monitoring & evaluation and impact measurements and an interest in developing these further
• A love of working with people, building relationships and experience with relationship management
• A great spoken and written communicator
•  Experience with, and enjoyment of, presenting to groups

Recently kicking off our new ‘Creating Positive Change Together’ strategy, coproduced by over 130 staff, volunteers, clients and partner, Groundswell has ambitious plans and a compelling model which in its simplest form promotes healthier lives and a better future for anyone who has experienced homelessness. 

The post-holder will have the opportunity to develop Groundswell’s next fundraising strategy, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and particularly Finance & Fundraising Director who can bring a wealth of knowledge and insight from recent external and internal reviews of Groundswell’s fundraising portfolio. You will be a champion for the joined up working of fundraising and communications, with the ability to line manage a team and lead strategic plans to engage a range of current and potential donors (individuals, trusts, corporates) to diversify Groundswell’s income and ultimately help Groundswell continue to create positive change in the lives of people, services and systems on their mission to tackle homeless health inequalities.
