As Innovation Lead (Impact and Evaluation), you will use data and insights to support innovation, shape our programmes, and maximise impact. This dynamic role requires a creative thinker who can blend research with fresh ideas, experiment with new approaches, and turn insights into action.

Role purpose:

Main duties and responsibilities
Develop and implement practical methods to evaluate and work with the innovation team to improve the impact of our programmes.

- Lead commissioned research contracts, including monitoring progress, reviewing and editing reports and managing relationships to enhance our programme offer.
- Foster collaborative internal relationships throughout the organisation and support evaluation activities undertaken by other colleagues.
- Be an active member of the Innovation and Standards Directorate and carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Innovation. This will be aligned with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.

As a charity and grant-maker, we do this by funding research and projects, as well as education and hardship, which support nurses, midwives and Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) to innovate and progress in their careers.
As the Foundation’s Grants Officer you will work across the Foundation’s grant-making activities and be responsible for checking eligibility and allocating education grant applications to external reviewers and support the Benevolent team with hardship grant applications. Both grant programmes are bespoke to the nursing and midwifery profession, and this role is essential in running a smooth first-class service relating to our grant making activity to individuals in need.
In this varied role every day will be filled with possibilities. You will work across the Grants and Impact team and use the online application portal to manage all grant applications. You will manage enquires relating to the Foundation’s grant-making and work with the RCN Foundation Grants Manager to provide support to applicants.
As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need an in-depth knowledge of best practice in respect to grant-making across more than one country of the UK. You will need to have significant experience of working in a grant-making capacity, and with charities and/or third sector organisations. EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators (named ‘Catalysts’) to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.
Since 2016, through collaborating with over 400 local voluntary Catalysts, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’’. Our Ghana-based team creates collaborative learning opportunities through three leadership programmes for Catalysts which are increasingly facilitated by the EduSpots app: the Ignite, Catalyse and Inspire Mentoring Programmes. About this role
We are looking for an engaging and dynamic fundraising specialist and team player with a proven track record of income generation through trusts and foundations, to take on this exciting new role at this exciting point of our organisational growth.
Over the last two years, EduSpots has significantly grown its income through trusts and foundations, and advanced the quality, scope and reach of its operations in Ghana, with further plans for expansion in the years ahead. We are looking for an individual that understands the value of community-led change, with all our work centred on, and resulting from the actions of 400 locally-based educational Catalysts.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take on the responsibility for growing our income generation with a focus on trusts and foundations. We are looking for an experienced individual, who is able to work closely with the CEO to develop larger fundraising partnerships at this exciting point in our development.
Depending on availability and experience, this individual may oversee a small part-time fundraising team, comprising a Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager, and Communications Manager, alongside interns and other income-generation roles that may emerge. The role has the potential to grow into a ‘Head of Fundraising’ position over time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are to:
- Lead the development and execution of a global fundraising strategy that focuses on medium-large and multi-year commitments from trusts and foundations, as well as potentially the development of corporate partnerships which align to EduSpots’ values and/or donations from major donors, dependent on experience.
- Work with the CEO, and Ghana-based Heads of Programmes and Head of Operations to develop and write strategic programme and organisational bids, feeding into the wider strategic development of the organisation.
- Create and implement robust policies and procedures for donor identification, cultivation and tracking to ensure efforts are coordinated at a global level and ensure that opportunities to acquire new supporters are fully explored.
- Work with the CEO and boards to identify potential new supporters through their networks, also taking an active role in networking to position EduSpots within key audiences for potential support.
- Work with the CEO and Communications Manager to develop a compelling case for support and a suite of materials for donor engagement that can showcase the importance of EduSpots’ work internationally.
- Create bespoke stewardship plans for existing donors that demonstrate the impact of their support, foster mutual trust and secure renewed support for EduSpots’ work.
- Oversee the organization of EduSpots’ relationships with trusts and foundations, and other major donors, including oversight of reporting, database management and wider communication, working closely with the CEO.
- Monitor and analyse philanthropic trends and best practices to enhance fundraising effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with international fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
- Depending on experience and time availability, manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals to achieve targets and organisational objectives. This includes an experienced trusts and foundations manager (1 day a week) with a focus on small-medium UK based family trusts, and wider community fundraising and communications roles in the team.

- To contribute to the Charity’s fundraising and other strategies, as well as supporting the development of the annual business plan and budget, and assisting with the preparation of Annual Report and supporting the wider team with professional development.

Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential
- Proven track record of income generation – ideally in a similar education / international development organisation.
- Extensive experience with writing compelling and successful grant applications, with a focus on 5 to 6 figures (GBP) in size.
- Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with trusts, foundations and grant-makers, and reporting to funds and donors, with strong database management.
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of UK-based funders, as well as of some international (European / US based) funders.
- Strong understanding of programme development and management, ideally in the education context.
- Some experience of communications and marketing in an NGO context is needed; experience of wider fundraising such as corporate partnerships, individual giving and campaigns may be an advantage but is not a requirement for this role.
- Friendly and flexible team player, with an ability to work with people across diverse contexts, inspiring the team and wider colleagues towards achieving our shared goals.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support

You will support Programme Managers to effectively deliver key projects within both the Capacity Building programme and more broadly support our small team to deliver outstanding service to CDFIs across the personal, micro, business and social enterprise lending sectors. The role requires some working with our members and stakeholders and strong levels of versatility and flexibility to deliver outstanding results.
No prior knowledge about CDFIs is required so long as you have a keen interest to learn about the sector and are passionate about increasing access to fair finance for businesses, underserved communities and people. The Project Support Officer will assist in the delivery of key projects and support the Programme Director and Programme Managers in ensuring the smooth running of a Programme Management Office (PMO) at Responsible Finance.
The role holder will support the timely and quality delivery of projects and programmes, including playing a key role in producing timely information and reports, and ensuring the smooth running of programme meetings and boards.
Just as importantly the role-holder will also support the wider Responsible Finance team to deliver key projects and ongoing support to our members and provide high quality administrative support where required.
The role-holder will also be responsible for ensuring that Responsible Finance’s onboarding process is followed for all new CDFIs, to ensure that they receive high quality and timely support at the start of their membership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the delivery of key work streams and projects, including the award and monitoring of grants to support capacity building and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for training delivery.
- Supporting Programme Managers to monitor project progress, identify issues and solutions, produce and maintain high-quality project documentation (plans, risk and issues registers, etc.) to support effective delivery.
- Supporting the effective and smooth running of project and programme board meeting and meetings across Responsible Finance, including schedule and arranging, developing papers, and effective minute taking.
- Supporting aspects of Responsible Finance’s communications activity including updating and generating content for the website, surveys, member and stakeholder newsletters and social media channels and supporting the effective delivery of events.
- Supporting aspects of Responsible Finance’s operational and policy function including; record keeping updating of the CRM system, supporting policy consultation responses and, assisting with the collection, analysis and presentation of data from multiple sources as required. (For example, to support our annual impact reporting exercise).
- Supporting the Programme Director and Programme Manager with the collation and development of reports for grant funders, and Responsible Finance boards.
This is a varied and dynamic role, working closely with our members and a range of high-profile external stakeholders. Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Strong and proven experience as a project support officer/co-ordinator providing high quality support across multiple projects at once.
- Experience of using project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Clickup) and techniques, and of developing and maintaining project and programme documentation.
- Experience in the generation and updating of online content using tools such as WordPress, Canva, SurveyMonkey etc to develop high quality web and social media content.
- Strong all-round administrative support skills, fluent with standard Office applications such as Word, Excel, Teams with an ability to quickly learn new technologies and applications.
- Experience supporting and co-ordinating the delivery of online and face to face events.
- Able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills including concise writing skills and ability to synthesise information into an easy to comprehend format/narrative (both written and verbal).
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with members and stakeholders with a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and get information needed from busy people.

Working as part of a small organisation, you will need to demonstrate flexibility and versatility and will have opportunities to support a range of other projects and support services for our members, developing a wide range of skills and competencies.

THE ROLE
The Girls’ Network aspires to reach more girls and increase the impact we have, so the importance of a strategic, effective and evidence-based monitoring and evaluation system is paramount. The Monitoring, Evaluation, Research & Learning (MERL) Manager will ensure thoughtful, intelligent and consistent collection, collation and analysis of data which has the potential to publicly represent our girls’ needs and their aspirations.
Key roles and responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
- Develop and employ monitoring systems to support high-quality programme implementation.
- Maintain and employ existing data-collection and evaluation systems to evaluate past and ongoing programmes.
- Calculate impact indicators and support data-driven organisational decision- making.
- Management of our CRM systems to support the Fundraising Team with monitoring of their application pipelines.
- Further the organisation’s current potential to meaningfully contribute to public discourse on the experience of teenage girls in the UK, on social mobility, and on the future of women’s leadership using available and newly created resources, data and insights.
- Develop the above evaluation and research into recommendations; working with the team and independently to inform and plan the creation and implementation of a monitoring system for our impact process, based on evaluation findings, industry research, and overall strategy and objectives.
- Work with the Communications Manager to develop / create the visual design and communication strategy for M&E systems so as to engage stakeholders and to empower our team and our girls.
- Internally and externally champion the use of our impact data to influence broader discourse and policy on the experience of teenage girls in the UK, social mobility, and the future of women’s leadership.
- Identify and understand different stakeholders' needs for monitoring and impact data.
- Manage external consultants and other stakeholders to support evaluations of particular projects as required.
- Understand M&E technology solutions, with a specific focus on gender equity and gender justice.
Learning and Research
- Working with Fundraising colleagues, regularly update the charity's Case for Support, reviewing the latest evidence and data on social mobility, the experience of teenage girls in the UK, and the future of women’s leadership, among wider gender issues.
- Design and deliver engaging whole-team training to enable new monitoring and impact collection processes to be carried out effectively at all levels.
- Working with the People and Culture Manager, promote and model a culture of learning and continuous development within the organisation, by employing and complementing existing systems.
Reporting
- Prepare and present status reports for grant-giving bodies (such as The Millby Foundation) according to the requirements of the grant.
- Prepare and present regular status reports for the CEO, and the board of trustees, as required.
- Contribute up-to-date data and insights to the annual report as well as to other grant and donor reporting.
- Work collaboratively with the Fundraising Team to identify upcoming reporting deadlines to funders.
- Creating clear overviews of the impact data collected in evaluation surveys, for the Fundraising and Programme teams to disseminate to funders and partner schools.
- Support the senior leadership, finance, and fundraising team, by calculating and reporting on social return on investment.
Database/CRM (Salesforce) management
- Manage user access and permissions in order to maintain data security and safeguard sensitive information.
- Create and maintain documentation to support both technical and non- technical data processes.
- Regularly evaluate and update Salesforce objects, automations, and other features as needed in response to business need, staying up-to-date on Salesforce functionality and recommending improvements to SLT.
- Staff support via developing and reviewing Salesforce training, establishing relationships, and managing Salesforce queries ad-hoc and in regular clinics.
- Maintain and develop Salesforce reports and dashboards to monitor data quality.
Other duties
As a small charity with limited resources, all staff are expected to be flexible with their work and as such you may be required to undertake other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time.

The Managing Director will have the drive, rigour, and organisational and stakeholder management skills to develop and deliver a new CFT Business Plan. The current Business Plan was developed in 2022 and runs to March 2025. It has now been delivered.
The Managing Director will be responsible for providing the overall leadership and management of CFT and ensure effective governance and compliance with all legal requirements.
