About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon.
The Social Media Officer will create, curate, and deliver social media content for MAP’s digital channels in line with MAP’s brand, tone and messaging. Manage, support, and grow MAP’s online digital communities and provide analytical support and reports for social media. Collaborate with ambassadors and partners to enhance MAP’s digital presence. Identify and mitigate risks in partnership with the Digital Communications Manager and supporter care team and develop MAP’s online presence and raise visibility with relevant audiences in line with MAP’s goals and aims.
About You
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working on social media channels, creating content and managing communities. Experience working in digital communications, and managing social media accounts (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Experience and knowledge of social media analytics. Experience working with advocacy, campaigns, fundraising/marketing teams, consultants and agencies is desirable. An In depth understanding of social media as an effective campaigning tool and how it can be used within an advocacy and communications function.
Duties and key responsibilities
Digital content creation and social media management:
• Support the Digital Communications Manager in creating, editing, and curating engaging and informative content for MAP’s social media channels, and other digital platforms.
• Help raise the profile of the organisation and increase positive public engagement through management and development of our digital channels.
• Develop, produce and deliver digital communications materials across MAP’s social media channels, with a particular emphasis on graphic design and video editing.
• Storytelling, and writing engaging copy for social channels.
• Work across the communications team and with colleagues across the organisation to deliver aligned communications and maximise reach, engagement and impact of communications content.
• Implement social media best practice to ensure consistency and quality of outputs.
• Use a test and learn approach to improve MAP’s social media content.
• Share success and learnings within the communications team and more widely across MAP.
• Monitor analytics, capturing data on content and channel performance monthly.
• Contribute to the development of visual assets for MAP’s campaigns and provide support and materials in advance of and during campaigns.
• Community management across MAP’s social media channels – including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn – on a day-to-day basis, responding to queries as necessary, flagging potential risks and opportunities to engage with celebrities and content creators.
• Proactively assesses the landscape of social media platforms, exploring and evaluating new channels with the Senior Digital Communications Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience and knowledge

• Knowledge of ethical communications is an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to prioritise and to deal with competing demands in a fast-paced working environment with support from the Digital Communications Manager.

• Keen attention to detail, proof reading, copyediting and quality control on all outputs.
• Working knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not essential.

As Project Manager you will work in partnership with other members of the senior management team to ensure the successful delivery of all Heritage Fund requirements over the next 20 months. These will include delivery of fabric reports, liaising with our fundraising consultants, scoping and progressing future capital aspirations with stakeholders, fulfilling all Heritage Fund reporting requirements and being a hands on member of the team.

For over 900 years Tewkesbury Abbey has been at the heart of the community - as a place of gathering, worship, celebration and remembrance. Down the centuries we have been a Benedictine Abbey, a parish church and a place of refuge in times of flood and war. Today the Abbey is a thriving parish church with hundreds coming here to worship each week, drawn by our commitment to daily prayer and our traditional choral worship. We are a ‘Major Church’ within the Church of England, and we are larger than fourteen of our country’s cathedrals. We are also a venue for concerts, large civic events, fairs and festivals working in partnership with colleagues throughout the region. In the past year we have also hosted a number of installations, exhibitions and events, a schools programme, concerts and talks in addition to our usual packed programme of worship and festive services.
Like many heritage assets within the UK, COVID and lockdown presented us with serious challenges to our financial sustainability. We are now responding to those challenges with ambitious plans to double our visitor income and numbers within five years. These plans have been agreed and funded by our Parochial Church Council and are being overseen by our trading arm Tewkesbury Abbey Limited.
We are delighted to have received a £250,000 development grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund towards our Tewkesbury Abbey Welcoming All project, a wide-ranging programme of works to increase our visitor engagement, including the appointment of new staff, surveys to scope future capital development plans, and testing new commercial activities including entry by donation. We hope that this will lead to one or more larger-scale capital bids which could result in a longer-term funding relationship to secure the Abbey as a thriving venue, unique heritage asset and national visitor destination.
As Project Manager for the Tewkesbury Abbey Welcoming All project, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all the activities within it, shaping and delivering the future plans and development of the Abbey. You will ensure that timescales and budgets are kept to, that the Abbey’s committed team of staff, volunteers and clergy play their part in it, and oversee the recruitment and training of the new team members as we deliver the project. You will be the primary point of contact with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, ensuring that the Fund’s reporting and promotional requirements are fulfilled, and that accurate financial records are kept. About PVRI
PVRI is a small charity with a global reach. Our aim is to reduce the global burden of Pulmonary Vascular Disease (PVD) with a particular focus on Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) - a life-threatening and life-limiting condition that affects millions worldwide.
PH can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, poor growth, and severe difficulties exercising and carrying out normal daily tasks. Diagnosis and care aren’t readily available in many parts of the world, and even when it is, PH treatment can itself be challenging and life-changing. Although it’s estimated that PH affects 1% of the global population, it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.
To change that, we bring together a fantastic network of energetic and committed PH doctors, academics, regulators, patients, and industry partners. Together we’re identifying and addressing the key challenges in global PH, educating the global workforce, and encouraging research. In practical terms, we:
- Host international scientific conferences
- Produce an open-access peer reviewed PH journal, Pulmonary Circulation

Newhampton Arts Centre is looking for an experienced fundraiser to join our executive team at this exciting time in our capital redevelopment programme.This is a senior role working alongside the CEO and Chair.
The successful candidate will drive our campaign to secure the next 30 years of creativity onsite for the city of Wolverhampton.

We are delighted to partner with Southmead Hospital Charity, an NHS charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients and staff at Southmead Hospital and who are seeking an experienced Philanthropy & Partnership Manager on a 1-year FTC maternity cover contract.
Working closely with the Charity Director and Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will lead the Charity’s philanthropy and partnerships income through major gifts, legacies and grants fundraising, developing relationships across a range of audiences to secure six-figure gifts from philanthropic individuals and organisations for the benefit of patients, and the incredible staff who look after them.
Cultivating strong relationships with Charity donors, High-Net-Worth Individuals and senior clinical colleagues in the Trust, through written proposals for support, facilitating cultivation events and working to defined projects, you will also be responsible for managing the legacy pipeline working closely with the Legacy Link Consultant.
You will demonstrate:
- A proven track record of six figure fundraising, and delivering successful campaigns.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive, motivational and engaging written cases for support: presenting highly complex, sensitive information on potential projects to secure funding agreement, and confidence in public speaking to formally present projects to potential donors.
- Significant experience of building collaborative and effective relationships, specialist networking skills with the ability to relate to a wide and varied donor base as well as internal and external stakeholders from volunteers to senior staff.
- Strategic approach with experience of robust planning, skilled at developing and leading complex projects with costs, timetables and projections.
- Experience of leading and motivating teams to achieve success
- Experience of providing complex donor and grant reporting, including analysis of performance data, qualitative and quantitative assessment of projects.
With a meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, you can handle highly sensitive donor information in a legally compliant and respectful way and communicate empathetically with patients and their families.

We are looking for a dynamic, cause-driven Trusts and Foundations fundraising leader to join us in the fight against bad information.
This role will lead our Trusts and Foundations programme, working from an existing £1m+ pipeline of major UK and international funders, as well as identifying and approaching potential new supporters. You will be creative and innovative in seeking out new opportunities, as we are looking to expand our fundraising into new areas of fact checking, such as climate misinformation and support for US fact-checkers. You will thrive on working with a range of colleagues and senior stakeholders to pull together information and develop compelling proposals for complex issues and projects.

Lead on the Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy and pipeline management.

The first round interviews will be a phone (not video) interview, lasting no more than half an hour, at a time that’s convenient for you. We will record it so at least two people can review each interview to decide who we invite back for the second round. The recordings will be deleted at the end of the process.
The second round will include a structured interview and a timed task which assumes no prior knowledge. The task can be completed prior to the interview, at a time that most suits you.

Celebrating their 45th year in 2025, St Margaret’s Hospice Care has been supporting patients, families and carers across the majority of Somerset, providing adviceline, community service and specialist in-patient hospice care. Playing a vital role in the fundraising team, the Philanthropy Manager will lead a range of high value income streams, including Trusts & Foundations and Major Donors.
You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop a three-year strategy for Trusts and Major gifts, underpinning operational plans. You will identify prospects, writing engaging and persuasive proposals and grant bids, using credible case for support, with exceptional stewardship, communications and reporting skills to retain, grow support and cultivate funder partnerships.
With specialist knowledge of Trusts and Major Donor Fundraising, you will demonstrate:
- Experience of successfully obtaining funds from trusts or similar bodies including ability to undertake detailed research of appropriate trusts and funding bodies and individuals in order to develop impactful and attractive products and propositions and cases for support.
- A proven ability to develop highly personalised relationships with prospective donors and supporters, with effective collaborative skills with the ability to work with colleagues from a range of teams and professions to build compelling funding asks.
