Who we are

Every day and every night, thousands of people across the South West and beyond need urgent, expert medical care from the NHS in Bristol. With your help, we aim to be there for every single patient, every step of the way.

Working together with our colleagues in Southmead and Cossham Hospitals and the Bristol Centre for Enablement, we use your donations across five critical areas – making a direct impact on the one million patients we treat every year.

We provide what the NHS can’t and we couldn’t do it without you. By donating and fundraising, you are directly helping people in your community – when they need you most.

During 2023-24, donors, fundraisers, local businesses, and charitable trusts donated an incredible £1.7 million to support your local hospitals.

Our culture and values

We promise to be transparent about what your money supports. You can see the difference your money makes on our Charity Commission accounts, published annually.

We promise to spend your money responsibly. 10p in every £1 of donations towards specific projects, departments or services is allocated towards covering our operational costs, so that we can continue to help more patients, both now and into the future. 

We promise to run our fundraising to the highest standards. We are a member of the Fundraising Regulator and are fully committed to their Fundraising Promise. Our fundraising will always be legal, open, honest and respectful.

We promise to keep your personal data safe. Protecting your personal information is incredibly important to us. That’s why we take all necessary steps to ensure your details are kept secure and safe. We will never sell, rent or share your information with external organisations for their benefit. You can find out more in our privacy policy.

We promise to be respectful. We will communicate in a way that suits you, and will be respectful if you wish to change this decision. We will never put pressure on you to make a gift, and if you do not wish to continue your relationship with us, we will respect your decision.
