About us
Who we are
Newhampton Arts Centre is Wolverhampton's centre for arts and culture. Located in hyperdiverse Whitmore Reans it stages over a hundred live events a year, including rock and pop, jazz, folk and adult and family theatre. Every week there are over 20 classes from yoga to visual art and English as a Second Language. There is a strong families and community programme which offers holiday activities, theatre for young children and work with local schools. NAC is also home to over 20 resident creative and community organisations including a radio station, two recording studios, a cluster of visual artists and community organisations working with disabled children and offering social care to adults with learning disabilities.
NAC is regularly funded by Arts Council England and is supported by Wolverhampton City Council and City of Wolverhampton College.
