The Director of Operations will have wide-ranging responsibilities for the development, implementation and performance of all operational delivery projects and programmes of work. This is a senior role within our well-established charity, and we will expect you to play a proactive and productive role as a member of the organisation’s small Senior Management Team.
You will lead, direct and manage all operational delivery projects and programmes across the organisation. Responsible for all aspects of operational management, you will ensure the high-quality delivery of programmes in line with contract and funder requirements. You will personally line manage all operational Programme Managers, ensuring that service/programme operational plans (including KPIs) and individual staff work plans are in place and being adhered to and delivered against.

The Avenues is an exceptional West London youth centre that guides disadvantaged children and young people to explore and develop new skills, connect with their peers and our trusted staff, and find their confidence. The Avenues offers free-to-access fun and meaningful after-school, weekend and holiday activities led by trained youth workers. Our excellent facilities include training kitchen, music recording studio, podcasting studio, arts and crafts room, sports hall and classrooms.
With secured blue-chip funders and a host of smaller funders, a significant amount of groundwork has been laid, including a pipeline of multi-year grants securing some activities to 2026 and beyond. Educated to degree level or higher, you will be a hard-working, self-starter with excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise and creative bids. Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams. However, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.
Either way, you will be skilled at budgeting and presenting financial information in easy to understand formats. You are a relationship builder and collaborative worker with a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
You have a high standard of software literacy (Office software, Mailchimp and internet), excellent telephone manner and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of callers.

The School:
Merchant Taylors’ School is a large Independent Boys’ School, situated in 280 acres of parkland in Northwood, Middlesex. The School was founded in 1561, is owned by the Merchant Taylors’ Educational Trust and moved to its present site in 1933. There are four distinct boys’ day schools on campus. The Nursery, the Pre-Prep & the Prep cater for 370 boys, while the Senior School has over 960 pupils. The Senior School employs over 110 teachers and 160 Support staff across Merchant Taylors’ School.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Fundraising
· Developing and innovating the school’s regular giving programme, the Merchant Taylors’ Fund, to ensure a consistent income stream and increased participation from alumni, parents and friends.
· In conjunction with external consultants, running our (currently) biennial telephone fundraising campaigns and Giving Days.
· Liaising with school departments, clubs and societies to identify exciting projects to motivate supporters.
· Segmenting and targeting recipients for appeals to ensure the greatest impact and returns.
· Devising the strategy for promoting legacy giving as a means of supporting Merchant Taylors’, and to implement this strategy to increase the number of known legacy pledges to the school.
Stewardship
· Establishing and running a comprehensive benefactor stewardship programme that thanks and stewards donors at all levels, including legacy pledges, through regular communication and events.
Reporting
· Reporting on progress against all objectives to the Development and Alumni Relations Sub-Committee of Governors.
· Where appropriate, working with the Development Executive (Events and Communications), to produce benefactor report publications and contribute to other Development publications.
· Ensuring that all contact with OMTs and parents is recorded on the Development Office’s database, the Raiser’s Edge.

What you will be doing
We are looking to recruit a Corporate Fundraising Partnership Executive for a 12-month maternity cover to join our high performing, successful team based at the charities head office in Buckinghamshire, we can offer flexible hybrid working. Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Head of Major Giving working with our corporate partners to achieve annual targets and the corporate fundraising strategy.
- Monitor the corporate inbox, deal with all enquires and respond promptly.
- Develop relationships with; external partners, colleagues in fundraising, dog operation team, senior staff, other hearing dogs colleagues, providing day-to-day management and support to maximise the impact and funds raised.

- Organise assets, working agreements and marketing activity to deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent stewardship, keeping in regular contact with partners via email, phone calls and meetings, building strong, trusted relationships.
- Celebrating our partners by making sure they are thanked for any support and receive compelling and timely reports and updates on the charity’s work.
- Account manage corporate relationships. Work with external partners and internal colleagues to create and deliver the marketing plans for the partnership.
- Be proficient at using the CRM database to ensure all details are accurately recorded and updated with relevant information.
- Monitor the corporate section on the website, adding and updating as appropriate. Ensuring all permissions for logos and the content is approved

MAIN DUTIES
1.Being first point of contact for new business client enquiries, responding to messages from new clients and scheduling sales consultations with prospective clients. This includes acting on new referrals for paid service consultations within 24 hours, gaining the client's trust, identifying and advising on the best service to meet the client’s needs from initial assessment of their situation, and promoting confidence in Beacon and our ability to meet the client’s needs.
2.Liaising with relevant health trusts, care providers and other organisations to support the facilitation of assessments, as part of a new business request.
3. Providing operational support to Business Development Manager, including taking telephone enquiries from clients and arranging sales consultations. Supporting the Business Development Manager with sales consultations during holidays and at peak periods.
4.Drafting and sending detailed estimates to prospective clients following initial consultations and following up to close the sale.
5.Establishing a rapport with prospective clients, utilising Beacon’s reputation within the industry to generate business and maintaining excellent communication throughout the sales journey.
6.Managing the case allocation process including responsibility for ensuring cases are allocated in a timely way according to case deadlines.
7.Generating and sending out contracts and associated paperwork, and processing completed contracts for clients engaging in a paid service. Liaising with caseworkers for a smooth handover of the new case, ensuring that expectations are met and key deadlines understood by the caseworker.
8.Maintaining good communication with colleagues in the Information and Advice team to facilitate the smooth transfer of prospective clients from an advice call to a paid service consultation.
9.To keep relevant and sufficiently detailed case records following each client contact, ensuring that all client information is kept up to date in line with Beacon’s systems and procedures, including data protection policies.
10.Keeping sales data software up to date and producing monthly sales reports for Managing Director.
11.Responsible for the effective operation of client administrative procedures including operating and maintaining database and filing systems.
12.Arranging for the safe and secure transportation of sensitive client files and medical records for caseworkers and clients.
13.Attending line management, supervision and team meetings as appropriate.
14.Provide organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the sales and casework teams as required.

Background Information
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is the name given to a package of care that some people need to receive due to disability, accident or illness. People who are eligible for CHC have the full cost of their care and residential accommodation funded by the NHS. This relieves families of sometimes astronomical care bills.
The criteria for determining who is eligible for CHC are highly complex and can be very difficult for the public to understand, and for professionals to apply consistently. The assessment process is lengthy and detailed. Likewise, the appeal process can be very daunting and perplexing.

Principal Duties
Representation and Partnership
• Engage with Stakeholders and Partners by collaborating with local, regional and national organisations, to share and grow the charities Strategic Direction.
• Develop, support and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships across the North East, with particular focus on the Youth Sector, Creative Arts and Community Support.
• Maintain and Grow relationships with specific partnerships - Stronger Together, Youth Print, Barnard Castle Partnership, Teesdale Action Partnership/Community Networks and Barnard Castle Cultural Partnership.
• Support and enable representation of the Charity at a range of forums including regional and national conferences, policy making groups and funders.
• Act as the strategic point of contact for the Charity.
• Actively seek opportunities to expand and promote the Charity and its role in the region.
• Lead and maintain a positive and supportive organisational culture.
• Actively support trustee, volunteer and staff training and development.

Operations
• Supervise the Project Areas, co-producing department plans.

• Manage the Marketing Coordinator and have overall responsibility for marketing across the organisation.

Governance

Consulting regularly with campaign managers to ensure their segmentation needs are met, identifying opportunities to improve campaign performance through data selections
Delivering data counts, selections and data extracts using Adobe Campaign and supervising delivery by junior members of the team
Maintaining a thorough understanding of marketing strategy and advise campaign managers on data selections, ensuring that all groups of supporters are considered appropriately and that we are maximising the value of our contactable base
Ensuring that all selections and administrative tasks are scheduled in line with the campaign planning schematic and that campaign activity is carried out in line with business rules
Participating in projects or leading discrete project work and supporting other areas of Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement as and when required
Mentoring junior members of the selections team, guiding and upskilling them to deliver on selections
Collaborating with others to improve our ways of working and campaign automation
Working closely with other members of the Data Portfolio and Product teams to ensure that all data is captured and held in an effective way to enable data selections to take place effectively.
What skills will I need?

We are working in partnership with The French Hospital, who provide Almshouse accommodation primarily for French Protestant Huguenot families who are in need and are resident in Great Britain, allowing residents to live full, dignified and independent lives. The French Hospital is committed to ensuring that people in need can lead active lives in the local community with access to healthcare, leisure and education. Today there are 55 self-contained flats where residents can enjoy their own space, with their own furniture and belongings around them.
The CEO (Clerk to the Corporation) will ensure the smooth running of the Charity, enabling it to meet its aims and objectives and comply with relevant law and regulations. The successful candidate will be the main contact for external agencies such as, solicitors, auditors, bankers and investments managers, insurance brokers and local authorities, as necessary, as well as the main internal contact between the Trustees and the other staff and residents.
This is a significant and rewarding role that will require the post holder to demonstrate the following:
- Positive outcomes in a demanding senior management position, possibly in the third sector, housing, or running a business
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally and the capacity to be an ambassador for the charity
- Strategic thinking: ability to assess complex information and decide on a course of action
- Financial literacy and budget management
- Experience of project management, delegating and supervising as needed

The successful candidate will advise the Trustees on matters of governance to ensure compliance with current legislation and Charity Commission guidance. You will arrange and attend Trustee Board and subcommittee meetings both preparing the agendas and taking accurate minutes, acting upon the decisions of the Trustees. You will also be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of a small team, identifying any training needs and ensure their wellbeing. Awareness of the welfare of residents overseeing community engagement and social activities, dealing with safeguarding issues, grievances and arrears, when required. Oversee the repair and maintenance of all the Charity’s properties, engaging with commercial tenants and others as necessary.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior leader with previous experience of leading a team, managing budgets and projects, multi-tasking and who has a passion for meeting housing needs.

Key Duties:

Sister Circle are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. Effective financial management is essential for our long-term sustainability and our capacity to support underserved women in our communities.
As our Finance Manager, you will be meticulous with managing the financial operations of our charity; meeting deadlines, ensuring charity governance compliance, and supporting the senior management team with monthly budgeting and forecasting requirements. You will play a lead role (with the Chief Executive) within our Finance and Governance sub committee as well as preparing reports for the Treasurer and Board of Trustees. You will manage one part-time member of the team (up to 2 days per week) who supports the day-to-day Financial and IT administration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the process of creating the annual budget, strategic three-to-five-year forecasts, monthly/quarterly management accounts and preparation of budgets for funding bids and reporting
- Prepare and lead the annual audit process, including required governance with relevant bodies.
