The Role
Reporting to the President and working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer will be the lead senior executive with overall responsibility for the operation of the organisation. In this pivotal role, the Chief Executive Officer will:
• Provide leadership and direction to the organisation in the development and achievement of its vision, mission and values
• Be responsible for delivering the agreed strategies and achieving the business plans of the organisation, by effectively overseeing, managing and developing the resources available to the organisation
• Lead the Senior Management and their Management teams
• Assess, develop and promote strategic partnerships with a range of stakeholders to ensure strategic outcomes
• Represent the organisation externally, both in the UK and internationally to promote the services and values

About You
As Chief Executive, you will be educated to degree level, have a proven track record in leading small to medium sized not for profit organisations and have substantial experience of developing organisational strategy, delivering growth, innovation and change.
Additionally, you will have experience/knowledge of:
• Working collaboratively with Boards to achieve the organisation’s mission
• The identification and management of risk
• Organisational legal responsibilities and requirements, including charity governance and international policy with respect to women’s and children’s health, charities and associated education
• Managing and leading a team of senior managers
• Relationship management, with demonstrable experience of work effectively with key stakeholders
The successful candidate will already have an interest in and commitment to women’s health, be able to work collaboratively, demonstrate emotional intelligence and build credibility. Due to the demands of the role and working with stakeholders in different time zones, the hours will be variable and there will also be both UK and international travel.

The Purpose of the Role
The Executive Director, IRC UK is responsible for delivering all of IRC’s targets in the UK, particularly with respect to fundraising, advocacy and communications but also UK finance, operations, and people and culture. The Executive Director leads the UK Senior Management Team.
An important objective for the Executive Director IRC UK will be maintaining the UK as a net contributing office within the IRC and to broaden, deepen and make more sustainable the IRC’s access to funding in the UK. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Planning, Delivery and Performance
• Take overall accountability for achieving agreed performance measures in all areas of the IRC UK’s activities e.g. Resettlement Asylum and Integration (RAI) programme, particularly fundraising, communications and advocacy in the UK.
• Define and monitor the effectiveness of IRC UK’s operating model to ensure quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.
• Define and track key performance indicators with the UK Senior Management Team to ensure and report on delivery of objectives.
• Contribute to the IRC 2020-25 strategic planning process by coordinating the input from the UK as required by the SVP Europe and the Global Strategy Unit.
• Review management and financial reporting and statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives, and revise plans in accordance with current conditions.
Governance
• Represent IRC UK at the Europe Senior Management Team meetings.

About the role:
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), offering a competitive salary equivalent to NHS Agenda for Change Band 9 (circa £110-125k). The role is based in London, with flexible and hybrid working options available.

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director will be part of In Kind Direct’s leadership team and contribute to the overall leadership, strategic direction and decision-making of the organisation.

The primary responsibility for the Director of Programmes will be to recruit school partners for our EEF trial, with delivery beginning September 2025. This trial is to test the impact our Peer to Peer coaching programme (Y10s coaching Y7s) can have on the maths attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The trial will require us to recruit 100 participating schools, 50 of whom will receive the intervention, with another 50 allocated to a control group.
Working alongside the CEO and the Programmes Team Leader, you will create and execute a strategy to recruit new schools as participants to this trial. As a result, experience of managing sales or partnerships with schools, or existing connections with senior leaders at secondary schools and multi-academy trusts, would be beneficial.
Alongside this, you will line manage our current Programmes Team Leader, who directly line manages our team of Programme Managers.
