About us
Who we are
Inclusion North exists to make inclusion a reality for all people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families.
Local areas in the North East and Yorkshire and Humber join Inclusion North as members. We work with them on local projects to increase inclusion.
We work on projects with organisations to help them make inclusion a reality for people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families.
We employ people with a learning disability, autistic people and family carers as Experts with lived experience in our Expert Hub.
Our culture and values
We pride ourselves on being an excellent employer that takes the development and wellbeing of its people seriously, so the successful candidate can look forward to a robust induction, ongoing support and supervision and a range of development opportunities.
As a values-led organisation, it is not just what we do that matters but how we do it. Inclusion North is founded on an equal partnership between people with lived experience of learning disability and autism and their families, and people who bring their professional experience of making inclusion a reality.
The culture we want at Inclusion North is all about our values.
These are some ways that we describe our values:
Rights – everyone has rights and we work hard to promote them
Inclusion – we work hard to include everyone, to meet their needs and to make people feel welcome
Respect – we respect ourselves and treat everyone else with respect
Honesty - we are honest in everything we do
Flexibility – we adapt what we do to find the best way of doing things
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Inclusion – we work hard to include everyone, to meet their needs and to make people feel welcome
