Since 1991 we have reduced the rate of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome by 82% and saved the lives of over 32,000 babies. But our work is not over, as three babies still die suddenly and unexpectedly a week. 

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

You will:

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products
2. Co-ordinate key engagement activity, such as the annual supporter Thankathon and Impact Report
3. Oversee administration and stewardship of individual giving income
4. Manage the promotion, sale and distribution of Lullaby Trust merchandise

This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.

About the role: 

The successful applicant will work alongside our Trustees, our CEO and our existing Head of Fundraising and Communications in a jobshare to meet challenging fundraising targets. You will be joining us at an exciting time of development, as we open at our third site in Islington, welcome new members of staff to our team and begin work on a new strategy for 2025-2028. Overall purpose

This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

You will contribute to the implementation of our communications, engagement and fundraising strategies, ensuring that your work is anchored in our organisational and team strategic goals. You will also be closely involved in team planning, whether it’s inputting into our operational plan or sharing ideas for new campaigns. 

There are opportunities to get hands-on developing and delivering communications and fundraising campaigns to educate and inspire individuals, businesses, and other audiences. You will support the Senior Communications Manager to maintain our strong brand, ensuring that all our content complies with our brand guidelines and is of a high standard.

With a good eye for detail, you will play a key role in our data management, including overseeing data on the storytelling section of our CRM, monitoring communications enquiries, and setting up and running reports. You will become a Salesforce Superuser (full training and support will be provided for this).

Conditions of service (summary)

Healthwatch Camden is committed to promoting equality in all aspects of

our work. We operate a flexible working policy, and will make reasonable

adjustments as necessary.

Annual leave entitlement is pro rata from 25 days’ a year (approximately 15 days). Sick leave entitlement depends on length of service, to a maximum of four weeks’ a year.

Healthwatch Camden operates a pension scheme provided by the People’s Pension and makes an employer contribution of 3%.

This is a permanent role, subject to available funding. All other terms and conditions are in accord with your statutory employment rights.

Healthwatch Camden is part of the national Healthwatch network; every local authority has a local Healthwatch and we are supported by a national body, Healthwatch England. We were created through the Health and Social Care Act 2012 which gave us some specific powers and duties.

Healthwatch Camden has specific duties to gather local people’s views and experience, to make recommendations for improvement in services and to give people information about their rights in services. We work in a diverse borough and our work must promote equality and seek out the views of people who are the most disadvantaged.

In everything we do, we aim to work in ways that empower local people and that build on the strengths of Camden’s large and diverse voluntary and community sector. This includes involving local people as volunteers in some of our projects, and working in partnership with other local organisations.

Project Officer – Behaviour Change & Engagement 

(Reigate & Bansted)

£28,831 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)

Base: Hybrid with opportunity to work at Reigate & Banstead Borough Council Offices

About the role

An exciting role to deliver a tailored package of support that will help Reigate and Banstead Council to increase levels of active travel in the area. You will engage with schools, workplaces, and communities to support and enable more people to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot for local everyday journeys, instead of taking the car. 

As the Project Officer, you will plan and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities such as mapping safe routes, leading rides and walks, practical skills sessions, competitions, initiatives and information events. The range of activities, events and resources will be adapted to meet the needs of the different audiences and will be designed to be inclusive so as many people as possible can benefit from the project and more local journeys can be travelled actively. 

This role will require you to work with a range of people across local and diverse communities, workplaces and schools in Reigate and Banstead. Creating relationships with key people and employers, understanding the barriers, challenges and opportunities to actively travel. You will be working closely with others to develop a programme of activities.

You will have the opportunity to give people confidence, enthusiasm and skills to travel more actively, through events and community activities. 

You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as school or community travel champions, local authority colleagues and other Sustrans delivery officers. 

Within the role, there will be an expectation to capture the impact of the project through completing reporting and monitoring, writing case studies, capturing quotes and photos and contributing to an end of project report. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You should have experience of working with children and young people within a community setting and delivering physical activities to groups. Your knowledge of the local area will help you form relationships with a wide range of organisations, groups, and individuals.

You will be a self-motivated and solution driven individual used to working independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload.

Harris Hill are excited to be working with a fantastic health-focussed membership organisation in their search for a Senior Education Officer.

Location: London. Hybrid working (2 days office-based)

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000

 As Senior Education Officer you will support the development, delivery and evaluation of the Society’s education programme. This includes organising online and in person training sessions and coordinating the development and maintenance of online education resource.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining an overview of Society education projects and providing input as required
• Playing a key role in the development and delivery of the Society’s education programmes (online and in person events, online learning resources). This includes preparation of minutes and agendas, following up on action points and organising committee meetings as well as administering the events programme.
• Working on developing the e-learning platform and ensuring that the education pages of the website are kept up to date, working with editors to approve and add images and case reports, including the adding of internal and external meetings and new educational resources.
• Dealing with phone and email queries related to education and events.
• Acting as the main interface between the Committee and the professional conference organiser.
• Supporting the production of the Annual Scientific Meeting for example proofreading of documents, and user acceptance testing of online functionality such as registration and abstract systems, interactive programme and conference app.

The successful candidate will have experience in project management, event logistics and management, both online and in person and will be happy working with third party suppliers, as well as volunteers, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key as is experience of CMS and updating websites. Experience working with e-learning platforms/LMS would be beneficial but is not crucial.
